I would like to point out a little detail in favor of this theory: In a world with no humans, where does the term humanity come from? Nian talks about the people of Terra as "humanity" and "humans" in Ancient Forge, yes, its a movie script, but that means people watching it would understand humanity refers to them. I think Amiya also uses that word in the main story. At the very least we have a literal HR department so we know that word exists and is used in the present Terra. Why would a ton of different races use the term humanity to refer to the whole of them when not a single one has that name? Unless, they all came from the same ancesters. Ancesters, called humans. Food for thought.

I believe you are referring to the 4 Star (or challenge mode) clear, not the three star. Four star is "Your tactics appear modern, yet the ideas behind them are primitive at their roots. Just what era do you stem from?" Three star on the other hand is just "All must return to the existing order. None shall disobey the rules." Personally, I would say the four star supports the idea of time travel more, but then again, we also know the doctor was in the sarcophagus for quite a long time.
The Operation contained a sweet Collab with limited Ops and several kickass outfits. The displayed title is just an abbreviation, the *full* title is: Operation: _"Your Originium shall become naught but Dust."_ But that's not nearly as catchy. So they shortened it for the cool factor. ;-)
at least those R6S ops team who got into Arknights are the most wholesome military op team in the entirety of games(IMO) totally worth all the originium, the dust, LMD, USD, UAH, RUB, EUR and etc.
Not really, if we take the example of the overlayed maps, Sargon is just close to the equator. And the land south of it is just at the equator being very hot since the sun hits that area more. Antarctica will still exist being cold with icebergs and stuff, we just haven’t seen more of terra. That’s just how planets work. The poles are the coldest since they are the furthest from the equator. So Sargon being Antarctica doesn’t make sense. The terra we see is just the northern hemisphere with some Southern Hemisphere explored.
I'm still doubting about this time-travelling theory, for the following reasons: 1) The Victorian accent is obviously referring to Columbia. !!SPOILER!! Kal'tsit's archive mentions about the independence of Columbia during Gaul's invasion of Victoria. 2) Terra has TWO MOONS. We learned this from Suzuran's story and the end of Chap.8. 3) Terra has deities, eldritch beings in the tundra and the sea and the Ageless like Kaschey. Not to say about this mysterious Witch King of Leithania. 4) As the Russian mad scientist had mentioned, Terra has totally different chemical components. This is more obvious in Tachanka's files. As to Doctor's identity, I'm more inclined to the fact that he is one of the mysterious Elder race or even some space traveller from another world together with Priestess.

My Theory based on theorys read on reddit and my interpretation of things(like the other game that Hypergrift has teased) is that terra lore is similar to WW40k lore an advance Human civilization colonized many world it used genetic engineering on it's people and creaded varius subraces of human, then the big civilization collapsed all the world were left alone each for themself and the AK world Terra(that just Earth in Italian) is just one of those world, where people had to live after the fall of the civilization for thousads of years so they forgot most of their past but there still ancient futuristic tecnology around. Terra also had it's own ecosystem so species like the Seaborn are the real races of Terra and species like orislug are species that were forced to evolve because of the changes caused by this old civilization. Gods idk maybe superhuman created by the anciets civilization to rule the rest idk.

But in her archive is said that pretty much high quantity Originium cause Catastrophe, those can be literally Uragan, meteor showers, vulcan, and more so a few theorys were born that maybe Originium was used to Terraform Terra but to much of it cause everything to go out of control and with time all Originium stockpiled on the Volcanic soil.

This is just like Tiberium Wars all over again but they discovered Red Alert's chronosphere tech, where Allies or Soviets will have to travel to the future just to salvage whatever is left of GDI or Nod. Yes, it might not be too farfetched if humans lived through the originium incident the same way Tiberium was formed into Earth, but it's hard to believe since unlike Tiberium- which can infect the time travelers due to their massive spontaneous growth, -originium does not do that to humans, and even the doctor; (which is confirmed to have blue blood or smth, idk)

Damn if its really timetravelling then we might have a chance to save our girl Frostnova in the future. I don't know much about Sarcophagus in arknight but in real world it is something where they put mummy at while mummification is an act of preserving important peoples dead bodies (like Pharaoh). So the chance of the Sarchophagus being related to time travel is highly likely.
I know that when someone noticed that you are speaking an 'old' language but can still understand you, it should be at least around a century (but still depends on the assimilation). And technically speaking, when something is preserved or just resting, it is already time travelling, since they do not experience the passing of time (so sleeping can be considered time travelling). Terra could be Tidal-locked how ever, where one part always faces the star making it very hot, and the other side always facing away making it very cold.
First of all we don't know anything about what ancestors means. We only know that Elders refers to the whole of the people of Terra. Another thing is Kal'tsit has specifically said that the sarcophagus is a medical device. And you forget the whole line of Levi saying that Terra having different laws of physics, period of table and so on. If it was time travel his lab would not have been separated into two parts, one where the R6 members where and the two the lab it's self. Orginium has been around before civilization was even a thing. Levi is a genius scientist and he has been insulting the people of Terra for not understanding the power of Orginium because he doesn't know WHY they fear it. The whole event is about a madman's work for evolution using Orginium, which btw hasn't been mentioned to be able to do. Terra has two moons. Doctor is confirmed to not be Homo Sapient. Physics and Chemistry are different. If Orundum turned animals into people then what about Sankta’s, Sarkaz, Lung, Draco, Onis, etc. etc. and how would sea animals be mutated if their is little to no Orundum in the ocean? Yeah, that's right, there is no Orginium under water, nor in Ægir confirmed by Gladiia's paradox story.
Oh and Time travel was never mentioned before in Arknights but different dimensions were. aka the demons, not referring to Sarkaz btw but actually beings that deserves the name demon. Yeah, maybe all these theories are just missguided attempts to explain the ancient civilizations technologically superior to modern civilization in terra, as well as the fact that a lot of technologies were discovered, not invented, and we were just filling the gaps with things that seemed to fit but when looking at the big picture do not make sense.
Recent kalstit module (mont2er) suggests otherwise. Also many other folks say there something screwy with the sky in term of using it for navigation, for flying to space.
IIRC Doc's blood is blue (pretty sure it's said to be at the end of ch8) so that immediately disqualifies him from being a human, sooo... there's that. There's also the fact that terra has different periodic table and some laws of physics dont match aswell (Levi admits it himself)

When I read the story, that was actually my first thought on seeing people talking about languages, the arknights universe is probably just earth after some large scale event that rebooted the people, and with that, brought the demi-humans we se around, maybe some bomb that or mad scientist that by chance created originium

As I came back to this video when CN have the RhineLab event and big lore drop I’d say his prediction was pretty good the doktah was centuries old(14k?) and kal’tsit was a servant used to serve doktahs race.
If arknights universe is the future earth, with timetravel concept, i think Its makes sense, considering doctor as the most human looking person i have seen ingame. And the future apocalypse concept makes sense to me, looking how there are no fire weapons with magnetic system, discovery of new energy, apocalyptic world where people has to make city movable so they can avoid disaster, and extinction of human. I mean, there are a bunch of theories which explain how earth will become with sun radiation, human extinction virus, unstable magnetic field, and cryptogenic sacrophagus.

The sarcophagus is some kind if cryogenic pod or stasis chamber created near the end of the ancient Terran days(Our Earth sometime in the future) before a calamity befell humankind as we know it. In order to survive the rapidly changing environments genetic aided evolution involving local fauna were used in conjunction with out own. Only a few were chosen to perform the long sleep and aid these new developing peoples in the far future such as our Doctor. It could work but the source or creation of Originium would need to be explained somehow.
the concept of isekai but actually time traveled are quite interesting, it isnt new but very rarely used. I can only remember 1 LN with similar concept though.
I believe Terra could be a future Earth mainly because of the names of people, organizations and titles. Rhodes Island, Texas, Columbia and Victoria just to name a few examples. It’s not uncommon for future generations to use and adapt old concepts for modern use. The Medium Tank, M4 in World War 2 was dubbed the Sherman Tank after General William Tecumseh Sherman who fought in the American Civil War almost 100 years prior. Fictional examples include the Spartans in Halo and the New California Republic in Fallout. For all we know, Rhodes Island’s name might have originated from historical records or even from Rhode Island itself. Texas might be a descendant from the actual long dead state of Texas. Columbia might be an either future evolution of the United States of America or Colombia. Victoria might also be either an evolution of the United Kingdom or Australia. Could also be coincidental or this parallel Earth known as Terra just happens to have titles that would be familiar to us.
Maybe, Terra is an another planet (in another dimension?) was colonized a long time ago by human. All humanoid Terra race was a genetic engineering native creature (with human DNA) for study case by human scientist and sometime when all human gone with no reason, the creature continue their evolution to become ancient race. I was partially hoping that the backstory for their Isekai was that team rainbow after Operation Containment they decided they want a permanent solution by putting the team in cryo stasis, so when they wake up they have vanguards who can handle Chimera, while the medical experts handle the vaccines for Chimera and the first to awake are from ash's squad while Ela and Iana are still in cryo adapting to the vaccine. But ones they woke up they introduce a new wave of Oripathy a much more ancient and violent version called Chimera. The main conflict would be that shines island are now trying to purge every single cell of Chimera. Also it's be funny if Blitz'll comment about Elon Musk when introduced to a feline and Lord will feel more shit about Ursus
My theory about the Arknights Lore so far. Terra was the post apocalyptic Earth in the future. In the current R6 event, the portal that Levi created works like a time machine. The Victorian language resembles English while Ursus and Yen's resembles Russian and Chinese language. Also the map is not so different from our current world map. Maybe in the past the Earth was struck by a great calamity. Either the Earth was hit by an asteroid filled with originium or a disaster is created by mad scientists. After the global calamity, many organisms died including billions of people but some of them survives. The said calamity caused mutation on the several surviving species of organisms including humans, that's why we have the different races of people in Arknights today. It is also possible that Doctor is one of the remaining original humans along with preistess (she has no animal ears and looks very human in the cutscenes). This theory is just my theory and its very possible in my opinion.

Realist hero is also labeled as an Isekai in the beginning but as of volume 14 of the light novel the author confirm that the story is not an Isekai but a time travel to a post collapse advance civilization earth unspecified thousands of years in the future
Timetravel yes, makes sense. Humans at some point probably engaged in an all-out nuclear warfare thus changing the landscape and making them radioactive. This radiation might have collected and crystallized into originium, where similar to radiation; increased exposure leads to sickness (in our case, oripathy), this sickness causes formations on our body (tumors = rock formations on oripathy). This could also mean our genes are altered due to prolonged exposure and messed up our DNA hence the appearance of cat ears and tails. Or somewhere in the future, humanity spliced animals and human DNA to bear stronger physics forms and they were able to withstand the radiation and survived through the eras
I suspect that the terrain may have a great part in temperature, because seeing a very weird temperature layout makes it seem like that whatever planet they are on has a micro climate like pattern.
My theory is that the world of arknights is the far future but not Earth, it could be a failed colony in another planet, that could explain why most of Terra is still unexplored.
Yeah, the big hint here is the language. That 1 language spoken by team rainbow is one from the AK world, I can accept as a coincidence / writing tool(or proof of a former similar incident happening.) But when you go out of your way to explain that they use old language with outdated grammatical structure (meaning that enough time has passed for the language to evolve) , and that Ursus language is just Russian with the same alphabet (cyrilic) that Tachanka can decipher, it's quite clear that the theory that Terra is Earth was the one the Event writer wanted to push.
Actually there are two languages from earth that are similar here on Terra,Ursian is similar to Russian confirmed by Tachanka and Leithanien is similar to German confirmed by Blitz
My theory is that the continent we are in (Terra) is a super continent like Pangea in our side. So it could be that, if Terra is a future Earth, that is so far into the future that the continents collided once more, hence the single continent. But then again, according to the Continental Reunion theory (heh) the contact would be between America and Asia, ergo, Columbia, Bolivar and Sargon should be on the other side of the map. Then again, we don't have magic crystals that cause cancer on this side so the F do I know. Also, something I learned just recently: Maggie is actually TALLER than Asbestos. Theory: Terra was once populated by humans just like earth, but human nature cannot bear a newly discovered deadly disease called oripathy. So they had to evolve by combining their own gene with animal gene, the results are our lovely Arknights characters that is stronger and has a higher tolerance to oripathy. As to the humans they simply extinct, or in my darker theory, was genocided by angels with guns sent by god because humans "failed their own people".
But team rainbow is immune to oripathy bc of the 6 months stay in sargon; if humanity is not immune to originium, then it'll just be like Tiberium Wars all over again, where GDI wants to suppress originium for people to live in the blue zones, and Nod would spread them for their religious zealot nature like sarkaz people

actually now that you said it, that would explain how originium came to the world, remember the shards left in the lab? perhaps the shards are recovered by the rest of team rainbow but due to scientists not knowing anything about it, it turned the entire planet into a magical rock cancer infested world. and that would explain everything else.
Another thing I would like to point out also is the fact that Saria mentions, when achieving 4 stars in a mission, that the dokutah's fighting style is "primitive", but modern at the same time...just something in support of this theory :)
When I saw the map i tought to myself, this looks like earth, thats russia, and apparently italy and a good chunk of Africa and other continents were submerged probably due to russia being higher on the sea level, basically terra, aside of every obvious distinction like the tatooine mechanic but applied on the moon instead of the sun and other things, is disastered submerged earth possibly with that undersea cities of [i dont remember that race's name sorry] could be just the rebuilt remains of cities that suffered this fate, but this is so unlikely that even god came down to tell me.

Considering that none of the operators from R6 even come from the British isles it's notable that their accents get described as "old Victorian" rather then, Victorian with a Colombian, Ursine or Litainian accent. Ash, Tachanka and Blitz come from these regions respectively (rip Canada) I found it odd that it was just called "old Victorian" I suppose the idea of an American, Russian or German accent would just be considered an old way of talking.

The more the lore of the game expands and reveal misteries, the more I can't help but to compare it with the Utawarerumono series which...( *POSSIBLE SPOILER* ) Has a pretty similar (if not the same) plot with arknights so this game got heavily inspired or just copy-pasted that old game/anime 🗿

Unless our world and theirs are one in the same. 2: The very specific wording of Laterano’s discovery of firearms. Mainly *discovery* . Perhaps they found some old Earth guns there for god knows how long, and attempted to replicate it with the tools they have? Probably a stretch.
By Asbestos E2 art you mean the Tunguska looking turret part? and i think the Laterano based their weapons on guns only in image because their guns work very different from earth guns.Not to mention Sesa+Passenger experiments tell us that the people on Terra still don't really know how gunpower work.
Plot twist. - Terra was Earth in the future. - Doc was the only human race left. - all Race who live in Terra now was modified human, created to survive the harsh land after the apocalypse done by the Originium - Originium may an anomaly who happen as the result of WW3/nuclear war/Armageddon - Sarcophagus may one of the device humanity use to merge the human and animal/acient gene - Firearms never exist on terra. it's becase an actual firearms itself has already wiped out long time ago because apocalypse. this may can make a sense if you looking out the technology on Terra. after the first apocalypse, people on terra manage to build a giga normadic city in fast period of time. also plenty device that can work with the originium. it just doesn't make a sense if they build it from scratch. probably they already have an advance thecnology long before the apocalypse event happen and thus that lost generation passing their thecnology to people on Terra now

Your basic theory is similar to my own thoughts, but one point of divergence: maybe rather than time-travellers, Dokutah and Priestess are humans that have been preserved in stasis throughout all the changes that turned Earth into Terra? Like cryo-sleep perhaps? I like this theory the best personally (even though it basically makes the sarcophagus into a glorified fridge)
while the theory sounds kind of plausible, I'm afraid that this event don't really mean anything much. Well, you see, these kind of events usually isn't planned years ahead by the writers, and just kind of happened in a business meeting or something. Some Ubisoft execs or HG just decided that it will happen, and told the writers to shoehorn something appropriate for it. Emphasis on "shoehorn" there. The writers never really thought of this when writing the story and world building on the early days of the game. Having an R6 operators were never part of the plan.

Personally, I would say the four star supports the idea of time travel more, but then again, we also know the doctor was in the sarcophagus for quite a long time.

at least those R6S ops team who got into Arknights are the most wholesome military op team in the entirety of games(IMO)

Not really, if we take the example of the overlayed maps, Sargon is just close to the equator. And the land south of it is just at the equator being very hot since the sun hits that area more. Antarctica will still exist being cold with icebergs and stuff, we just haven’t seen more of terra.
That’s just how planets work. The poles are the coldest since they are the furthest from the equator. So Sargon being Antarctica doesn’t make sense. The terra we see is just the northern hemisphere with some Southern Hemisphere explored.
I'm still doubting about this time-travelling theory, for the following reasons:
1) The Victorian accent is obviously referring to Columbia. !!SPOILER!! Kal'tsit's archive mentions about the independence of Columbia during Gaul's invasion of Victoria.
2) Terra has TWO MOONS. We learned this from Suzuran's story and the end of Chap.8.
3) Terra has deities, eldritch beings in the tundra and the sea and the Ageless like Kaschey. Not to say about this mysterious Witch King of Leithania.
4) As the Russian mad scientist had mentioned, Terra has totally different chemical components. This is more obvious in Tachanka's files.
As to Doctor's identity, I'm more inclined to the fact that he is one of the mysterious Elder race or even some space traveller from another world together with Priestess.
Given that Terra has two moons would it be possible that its just a terraformed and colonized mars?

My Theory based on theorys read on reddit and my interpretation of things(like the other game that Hypergrift has teased) is that terra lore is similar to WW40k lore an advance Human civilization colonized many world it used genetic engineering on it's people and creaded varius subraces of human, then the big civilization collapsed all the world were left alone each for themself and the AK world Terra(that just Earth in Italian) is just one of those world, where people had to live after the fall of the civilization for thousads of years so they forgot most of their past but there still ancient futuristic tecnology around. Terra also had it's own ecosystem so species like the Seaborn are the real races of Terra and species like orislug are species that were forced to evolve because of the changes caused by this old civilization. Gods idk maybe superhuman created by the anciets civilization to rule the rest idk.

But in her archive is said that pretty much high quantity Originium cause Catastrophe, those can be literally Uragan, meteor showers, vulcan, and more so a few theorys were born that maybe Originium was used to Terraform Terra but to much of it cause everything to go out of control and with time all Originium stockpiled on the Volcanic soil.

I don't know much about Sarcophagus in arknight but in real world it is something where they put mummy at while mummification is an act of preserving important peoples dead bodies (like Pharaoh). So the chance of the Sarchophagus being related to time travel is highly likely.
I know that when someone noticed that you are speaking an 'old' language but can still understand you, it should be at least around a century (but still depends on the assimilation).
And technically speaking, when something is preserved or just resting, it is already time travelling, since they do not experience the passing of time (so sleeping can be considered time travelling). But I know this is an attempt to bridge your theory of time travelling instead of isekai'ing

Terra could be Tidal-locked how ever, where one part always faces the star making it very hot, and the other side always facing away making it very cold.
First of all we don't know anything about what ancestors means. We only know that Elders refers to the whole of the people of Terra. Another thing is Kal'tsit has specifically said that the sarcophagus is a medical device. And you forget the whole line of Levi saying that Terra having different laws of physics, period of table and so on. If it was time travel his lab would not have been separated into two parts, one where the R6 members where and the two the lab it's self. Orginium has been around before civilization was even a thing. Levi is a genius scientist and he has been insulting the people of Terra for not understanding the power of Orginium because he doesn't know WHY they fear it.
The whole event is about a madman's work for evolution using Orginium, which btw hasn't been mentioned to be able to do. Terra has two moons. Doctor is confirmed to not be Homo Sapient. Physics and Chemistry are different. If Orundum turned animals into people then what about Sankta’s, Sarkaz, Lung, Draco, Onis, etc. etc. and how would sea animals be mutated if their is little to no Orundum in the ocean? Yeah, that's right, there is no Orginium under water, nor in Ægir confirmed by Gladiia's paradox story.
Oh and Time travel was never mentioned before in Arknights but different dimensions were. aka the demons, not referring to Sarkaz btw but actually beings that deserves the name demon. Yeah, maybe all these theories are just missguided attempts to explain the ancient civilizations technologically superior to modern civilization in terra, as well as the fact that a lot of technologies were discovered, not invented, and we were just filling the gaps with things that seemed to fit but when looking at the big picture do not make sense.

- Originium is the remnant of that disaster

As I came back to this video when CN have the RhineLab event and big lore drop I’d say his prediction was pretty good the doktah was centuries old(14k?) and kal’tsit was a servant used to serve doktahs race.
If arknights universe is the future earth, with timetravel concept, i think Its makes sense, considering doctor as the most human looking person i have seen ingame. And the future apocalypse concept makes sense to me, looking how there are no fire weapons with magnetic system, discovery of new energy, apocalyptic world where people has to make city movable so they can avoid disaster, and extinction of human. I mean, there are a bunch of theories which explain how earth will become with sun radiation, human extinction virus, unstable magnetic field, and cryptogenic sacrophagus.

The sarcophagus is some kind if cryogenic pod or stasis chamber created near the end of the ancient Terran days(Our Earth sometime in the future) before a calamity befell humankind as we know it. In order to survive the rapidly changing environments genetic aided evolution involving local fauna were used in conjunction with out own. Only a few were chosen to perform the long sleep and aid these new developing peoples in the far future such as our Doctor. It could work but the source or creation of Originium would need to be explained somehow.
the concept of isekai but actually time traveled are quite interesting, it isnt new but very rarely used. I can only remember 1 LN with similar concept though.

I believe Terra could be a future Earth mainly because of the names of people, organizations and titles. Rhodes Island, Texas, Columbia and Victoria just to name a few examples. It’s not uncommon for future generations to use and adapt old concepts for modern use. The Medium Tank, M4 in World War 2 was dubbed the Sherman Tank after General William Tecumseh Sherman who fought in the American Civil War almost 100 years prior. Fictional examples include the Spartans in Halo and the New California Republic in Fallout. For all we know, Rhodes Island’s name might have originated from historical records or even from Rhode Island itself. Texas might be a descendant from the actual long dead state of Texas. Columbia might be an either future evolution of the United States of America or Colombia. Victoria might also be either an evolution of the United Kingdom or Australia. Could also be coincidental or this parallel Earth known as Terra just happens to have titles that would be familiar to us.
Maybe, Terra is an another planet (in another dimension?) was colonized a long time ago by human. All humanoid Terra race was a genetic engineering native creature (with human DNA) for study case by human scientist and sometime when all human gone with no reason, the creature continue their evolution to become ancient race. However, the human dominant gene might be far superior than native gene until mostly successor creature look like human with native part on their body...... Yep, Dokutah is someone who was trapped in Sarcophagus during the end of human era. (1-2 million years ago)
I was partially hoping that the backstory for their Isekai was that team rainbow after Operation Containment they decided they want a permanent solution by putting the team in cryo stasis, so when they wake up they have vanguards who can handle Chimera, while the medical experts handle the vaccines for Chimera and the first to awake are from ash's squad while Ela and Iana are still in cryo adapting to the vaccine. But ones they woke up they introduce a new wave of Oripathy a much more ancient and violent version called Chimera. The main conflict would be that shines island are now trying to purge every single cell of Chimera.

My theory about the Arknights Lore so far. Terra was the post apocalyptic Earth in the future. In the current R6 event, the portal that Levi created works like a time machine. The Victorian language resembles English while Ursus and Yen's resembles Russian and Chinese language. Also the map is not so different from our current world map.
Maybe in the past the Earth was struck by a great calamity. Either the Earth was hit by an asteroid filled with originium or a disaster is created by mad scientists. After the global calamity, many organisms died including billions of people but some of them survives. The said calamity caused mutation on the several surviving species of organisms including humans, that's why we have the different races of people in Arknights today.
It is also possible that Doctor is one of the remaining original humans along with preistess (she has no animal ears and looks very human in the cutscenes). This theory is just my theory and its very possible in my opinion.

Realist hero is also labeled as an Isekai in the beginning but as of volume 14 of the light novel the author confirm that the story is not an Isekai but a time travel to a post collapse advance civilization earth unspecified thousands of years in the future

Timetravel yes, makes sense. Humans at some point probably engaged in an all-out nuclear warfare thus changing the landscape and making them radioactive. This radiation might have collected and crystallized into originium, where similar to radiation; increased exposure leads to sickness (in our case, oripathy), this sickness causes formations on our body (tumors = rock formations on oripathy).
This could also mean our genes are altered due to prolonged exposure and messed up our DNA hence the appearance of cat ears and tails.
Or somewhere in the future, humanity spliced animals and human DNA to bear stronger physics forms and they were able to withstand the radiation and survived through the eras

That 1 language spoken by team rainbow is one from the AK world, I can accept as a coincidence / writing tool(or proof of a former similar incident happening.)
But when you go out of your way to explain that they use old language with outdated grammatical structure (meaning that enough time has passed for the language to evolve) , and that Ursus language is just Russian with the same alphabet (cyrilic) that Tachanka can decipher, it's quite clear that the theory that Terra is Earth was the one the Event writer wanted to push.
Actually there are two languages from earth that are similar here on Terra,Ursian is similar to Russian confirmed by Tachanka and Leithanien is similar to German confirmed by Blitz
My theory is that the continent we are in (Terra) is a super continent like Pangea in our side. So it could be that, if Terra is a future Earth, that is so far into the future that the continents collided once more, hence the single continent. But then again, according to the Continental Reunion theory (heh) the contact would be between America and Asia, ergo, Columbia, Bolivar and Sargon should be on the other side of the map. Then again, we don't have magic crystals that cause cancer on this side so the F do I know.

Theory: Terra was once populated by humans just like earth, but human nature cannot bear a newly discovered deadly disease called oripathy. So they had to evolve by combining their own gene with animal gene, the results are our lovely Arknights characters that is stronger and has a higher tolerance to oripathy. As to the humans they simply extinct, or in my darker theory, was genocided by angels with guns sent by god because humans "failed their own people".
But team rainbow is immune to oripathy bc of the 6 months stay in sargon; if humanity is not immune to originium, then it'll just be like Tiberium Wars all over again, where GDI wants to suppress originium for people to live in the blue zones, and Nod would spread them for their religious zealot nature like sarkaz people

actually now that you said it, that would explain how originium came to the world, remember the shards left in the lab? perhaps the shards are recovered by the rest of team rainbow but due to scientists not knowing anything about it, it turned the entire planet into a magical rock cancer infested world. and that would explain everything else.

When I saw the map i tought to myself, this looks like earth, thats russia, and apparently italy and a good chunk of Africa and other continents were submerged probably due to russia being higher on the sea level, basically terra, aside of every obvious distinction like the tatooine mechanic but applied on the moon instead of the sun and other things, is disastered submerged earth possibly with that undersea cities of [i dont remember that race's name sorry] could be just the rebuilt remains of cities that suffered this fate, but this is so unlikely that even god came down to tell me.

Considering that none of the operators from R6 even come from the British isles it's notable that their accents get described as "old Victorian" rather then, Victorian with a Colombian, Ursine or Litainian accent. Ash, Tachanka and Blitz come from these regions respectively (rip Canada) I found it odd that it was just called "old Victorian" I suppose the idea of an American, Russian or German accent would just be considered an old way of talking.
Or alternatively, it wasn't referring to the accent but the grammar and speaking conventions.

Your basic theory is similar to my own thoughts, but one point of divergence: maybe rather than time-travellers, Dokutah and Priestess are humans that have been preserved in stasis throughout all the changes that turned Earth into Terra? Like cryo-sleep perhaps? I like this theory the best personally (even though it basically makes the sarcophagus into a glorified fridge)

while the theory sounds kind of plausible, I'm afraid that this event don't really mean anything much. Well, you see, these kind of events usually isn't planned years ahead by the writers, and just kind of happened in a business meeting or something. Some Ubisoft execs or HG just decided that it will happen, and told the writers to shoehorn something appropriate for it. Emphasis on "shoehorn" there. The writers never really thought of this when writing the story and world building on the early days of the game. Having an R6 operators were never part of the plan.
