Another great video! I find the idea of a Blacksteel-focused event very interesting. I will use "parallel logic" and the internal conflict trope to interpret how such event will go. Let's talk about "parallel logic". Blacksteel is obviously based on the PMC that's nowadays called Academi (formerly known as Xe Services and, more popularly, Blackwater) which went defunct in 2014 (by defunct, I mean merging with its rival Triple Canopy to form Constellis Group). The go-to company for ex-military personnel was Blackwater and was the cornerstone for professional mercenary services. Blackwater is infamous for the Nisour Square massacre which resulted in 17 deaths and 20 injuries. They mission was to escort US embassy convoys, but they had no license to operate in Iraq because of their status as an NGO. At that time, it was claimed that there were as many contractors as military soldiers. Let's go to the Arknights universe now. We're going to focus on two things: Blacksteel itself and Columbia's meddling in Sargon. First, we know how Columbia is undergoing a conflict with Bolivar. Unfortunately for them, it is a never-ending stalemate. It needs another target, one that is vast and inferior compared to their rising technological prowess. If we consult the Walk In The Dust event profoundly enough, we can learn that Columbia's target is Sargon. Sargon is the closest thing to the Middle East, but is more accurately described as a mix of ancient empires like Ancient Egypt, Ottoman and Aztec. Volwotkeczynski was hired in Originium Dust by Drudge Tulla via their latest super-sonic weapon. Brayn Life used to be a science institute which sent a research team to gain knowledge on an Originium-based weapon, but it was hijacked by the Columbian military for the purpose of arousing conflict in the region. Oh yeah, we have ATF in Arknights as well, it's known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Arts Unit and Originium Devices, ATAO for short. Like the military, it also tries to spark conflict in Sargon. By force or by contract, some companies are working for the Columbian government to aid its imperialism. This assumes that Columbian companies are either - okay with working for warmongers - not okay with working for warmongers but have no choice - not having their services demanded by warmongers yet. The Blacksteel we know from the early days of Arknights is officially cooperating with Rhodes Island. It is no secret that they're inherently good with this cooperation, but in the future they may come at a crossroads with the Columbian government. Blacksteel is a serious player; though Columbia could very well have any other PMC, it wants Blacksteel because it is likely the biggest player in this sector. As a little sidenote, Blackwater was one of the SIXTY private military companies that worked in the Middle East so it wouldn't be surprising if Blacksteel also had a large number of rivals. If we're going to have an internal conflict in Blacksteel, Oripathy and Columbian corruption will be the main factors. We can understand the corruption part, Blacksteel assets would be a big boon to the military that's trying to do their shit in Sargon. Oripathy plays its own game in Blacksteel. The Biochemical Protection Response Staff (BPRS) is a specialised unit entirely dedicated to combating Oripathy. They are also tasked to guarantee the safety of all Bio Department operations as well as dealing with Oripathy cases within the company. Infected people are treated with more leisure in Columbia, but this does not mean they have it good at all. This also applies with Blacksteel according to the following rules: - *Infected personnel are forbidden to team up with other non-Infected for any combat operation or high risk mission*. These are meant only for the elites, and in the eyes of the company, the elites are made of those not Infected, because they don't come with extra costs for Oripathy treatment. - *Infected personnel with light cases are allowed to team up with non-Infected, but they must first request permission from the latter*. Treatment is pretty cheap, so why not? Surely their Oripathy won't advance. - *Infected personnel with mild cases are forbidden to join any team-up operation, but are allowed to accomplish solo missions*. They can still provide worthy effort to the company, but it won't mind if a suicide operation disguised as a solo mission goes horrible. - *Infected personnel with severe cases will be terminated immediately but will receive a decent amount of compensation*. This compensation, however, is not enough to cover their medical bills. The company give them "goodbye cash" under the guise of looking after their former staff as an acknowledgement of their efforts, when they really do it to spend less money on liabilities like underperforming Infected. Less liabilities means more profit, regardless of achievements. - *All Infected personnel who are still able to work will be given medical treatment by Blacksteel*. If it makes profit, it only makes sense to invest "enough" into it. All of it is worded carefully to make it sound like taking precautions with the Oripathy crisis going on, but in all reality it is like any scheme that exploits the Infected for Columbian profit, to have them do the dirty work while the Non-Infected do the nice important things. With this in mind, the four contractors we have seen exchanged in Rhodes Island will not be the only ones we will have in our roster. If we take Liskarm's ultimate dream in calculation, she will be one of the pioneers behind a PMC based on what should've been Blacksteel, without the corrupting influence of thirsty warmongers. Either this, or this "good faction" will instead form up the branch of Rhodes Island tasked with putting the "military" in "pharmaceutical military company". But how can a conflict of this magnitude erupt? Will Blacksteel have an incident similar to the Nisour Square involving Infected, or will it be something else like the government suddenly funding a rival PMC with the sole intent of overpowering Blacksteel? That is up to speculation. I may have missed some points, so if there is anyone who wants to add in their own tidbits, by all means. Stay awesome, brother.

I kind of had an idea for a black steel event called Operation safestop where black steel gets put in the middle of the Columbia x Boliviar conflict. Liskarm gets put in charge of a squad of 6(Herself, franka, Jessica, vanilla and two new black steel operators because like, come on blacksteel hasn't gotten any new operators) and the event focuses on blacksteel's morales and ethics as they fight a meaningless battle

Retired Army guy... High level private military companies break apart and or rename themselves every couple of years. Blackwater spun out and became triple canopy, then basically went away into another two firms...PMCs get a lot of bad press so name changes are constant
Whenever I see a new Qaiser upload, I know it's gonna be informative and entertaining. As a Liskarm/Franka fan, I loved seeing their interactions and growth during Originium Dust; needling each other at every opportunity and yet always having the other's back without question. So wholesome and funny. Also their outfits are rad; I had to buy Liskarm's immediately. Cheers Qaiser. ^_^

Well in my game franka is level one and left in the base as most unused operator... even vanilla made e1. Lisk on the other hand is e2 has a fancy lightning skin and see deployment on the regular.

@@QaiserMLG yeah, when I saw the E2L60 requirement, my eyes went wide, lol.. It definitely delves into her character and motivations more and provides some subtle nudges about Blacksteel too. I do have a recording of her Operator Records on my channel but the video is an hour long with the cutscene playing at 2x speed in auto so it's a bit of a hard pass to watch for a lot of people I feel, lol.. It's the longest set of operator record that I know of as I haven't seen all of them yet. Missing Phantom, Ceobe, Firewatch, and Schwarz.

Not goanna lie, I didn't noticed that. I left it at HG been a tease with the skins as always, but never imagines so much could have come of just their clothes. Now, that doesn't mean I don't believe what was said here, if anything is very posible, since we have seen time and time again how the smallest of details grow to become something more important later on. All we have to do is wait... for Jessica definitely will cry.
I think a Blacksteel focused event is very much possible sometime in the future, after all we did get Code of Brawl, a Penguin Logistics focused event. I don't see why they can't make another event focusing on other organizations that work closely with Rhodes Island
I'd like to add that Rhodes Island seems to operate like a PMC too, or rather, they own a PMC in the form of the operators of RI. Perhaps seeing how RI runs and the "good" that RI does inspired Liskarm by showing her that PMC work doesn't always have to be cruel and ruthless. Not sure how Liskarm maintains posession of a firearm though, thought those where more or less a BSW exclusive, with the licensing and extremely expensive bullets n stuff. Am looking forward to potential Franka skin in the future, though I hope there is also a full hazmat suit reminescent of her BPRS days, would be cool to have another gapmoe operator clad like Mudrock.
Blacksteel is probably one of my favourite faction in Arknights and the most anticipated for an event because of Renatus.z. It is indeed surprisingly odd that Blacksteel is one of the earliest faction to be shown in Arknights in-game. Something might have change in the midst of development. So some additional info we might wanna take into account. Blacksteel, for one, is some of the earliest faction to be introduced in Arknights, both in story to us players and game development. Alpha Test of Arknights had both Franka and Liskarm to be recruitable. Vanilla is in-game but not part of the Blacksteel circle as we all know. The oddest thing is that I couldn't see Jessica in-game as recruitable operator but do appear in the early chapter. Something might have change down the road but I think that Jessica is not meant to be a free 4* anti-air sniper but a higher rarity operator or its own event's operator down the road. I'm not sure about this as the details are picked from an old video. Anyway, for information about in-game lores, Jessica was mentioned to join Blacksteel for some "specific reasons". It is still not yet clarified but if Jessica was willing to join Rhodes Island as an exchange training employee, her attachment to Blacksteel might be questionable. Don't forget that she's rich and it still unexplained to why. If such scenario where there will be an internal fighting in Blacksteel, Jessica would probably start chasing after her own motives. Of all Blacksteel operators we know of, Jessica's motive in joining Blacksteel still remain a mystery, other than wanting to increase her self-confidence. Combined with the fact that Jessica is well-versed with equipment testing and pretty competent outside of combat, she's probably a daughter of someone that was influential or something. One extra note worth mentioning is that Blacksteel remained the few companies outside of Laterano that used Originium firearms as their primary equipment on official capacity. Guns are already rare and expensive and if Blacksteel can field guns in mass capacity, they must have some connections with Laterano or their equipment budget is massive from getting contracts. This will come into play in future events for sure.
Hmmmm... Nice theory dude. I kinda imagine that Jessica's character development is just like GFL's M4A1 arc. They both starts like a shy character. Once Jessica got through their own arc, she's definetely became a determined soldier. Just like how M4A1 Mod 3 is. It would be more interesting and badass if Jessica is the 6* of BlackSteel event.
Just found an official manga (although that is very short) about the four black steel girls. The story was set at the time around when they came over and corporate with Rhodes. In the story, Franka was accidentally infected during a mission, fortunately she got treated by a Rhodes medic. Although BS is not the worst company when it comes to dealing with infected employees, Franka knew that her career will not proceed anymore. Working as one of the most important biochemical response agent in BS, Franka used the chance and promoted a corporation with Rhodes, worked as the leader of the project. She didn’t knew Razor would move to Rhodes too. Later, Franka and Razor had some deep talks as they are good friend, Franka told Razor that she is done in BS and was planing to leave that company, and she was impressed by Rhodes’ attitude towards the infected, so she has high interest in promoting to be a Rhodes official employee (Franka was a famed mercenary in the story so I guess anyone in the industry would hire her anyway based on the setting). Razor told Franka that after seeing what Rhodes is she doubted about her dream and her career too, all she want to do is just protect Franka and help her to recover from illness for now. The story ended here. So yeah maybe nothing big actually happened in BS, it could be that Franka and razor just hopped to Rhodes according to the official manga.
My thoughts after watching this video: - Something bad might happen to Jessica - Liskarm and Franka want to protect Jessica from that something - RI helps LIskarm and Franka with that - The three of them change companies afterwards
Sorta related but I hope there's a reference or something to the R6 operators at some point. Maybe some mission unseen or maybe they're involved a little but we only really see their silhouettes and question marks or something
I have my own theories regarding Jessica as well actually... some that is much more dark in comparison. In fact one of the theories has been on my mind since I read a very interesting fanfic in which Jessica was part of that made me think more closely on several different possibilities of the future of Arknights and the future of characters (operators included). 1. As you said Jessica will cry for whatever reason we don't know yet (maybe it will be the whole thing to do with the company as you said) 2. Jessica will go through a "phase" that will change her forever, whenever that "phase" is something from a spurred moment (like above) or something even more darker.... like disappearing without a trace for whatever reason, getting kidnapped, getting tortured or whatever other reason it could be. 3. Jessica dies in the story due to something, whenever that be due to something to do with Originium, infected, killed or for another reason. (in the fanfic I read she was ultimately smashed so hard that she died from some big ass dude when she was offerring supporting fire while both Skadi and Saria were fighting the guy. But due to a mistake and a fatal flaw not seen by either Saria or Skadi in time, the big guy would charge and smash into Jessica with their weapon before the other two realized it happen. Either to due the guy being incredibly fast or due to the slow reaction time of all 3 of them. This lead to Jessica's death in the story (of the fanfic). Thus I thought perhaps something similar might/could happen in canon. Especially since it's quite common with sad and depressing story content in Arknights. Just like how the death of beagle (if it is true) is a thing. Or the possibility of other operators dying. It shouldn't be out of question if by chance this turns out to be true for not only just Jessica but also for others. There are some more theories I have in my head about this entire thing but these here are probably the ones I lean on to the most. EDIT: As of chapter 9, nr 3 is no longer a thing I suppose? since she is still alive. So I'm probably going for option 1 and/or 2. Though nr 3 can still be a thing in the future especially with infected operators.
Have you seen the new chapter 9 trailer in CN? It seems that the Victoria in Darknights Memoir is going to play a bigger role as we all know, a 6 star flag bearer that might be related to Bagpipe and we might get to see more of Hoarder or maybe have him as an Operator since he was hinted at to have been planning something in Victoria for a long time. All and all, there might be people that are more evil than Mephisto and we get to punch some bitches face in, can't fucking wait. What do you think?

Spoilers from the BSW event (Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures)... Jessica leaves BSW due to how she couldn´t stand their policies. Also, according to Franka´s second Operator Record, Liskarm left as well so she can form her own security force. Something that was mentioned in her files and the BSW Manga.
My theory Qaiser has a thing for girls with pony tails hair cuts becuase he would most likely kill for both Frankas and Gavials skin (understandable btw).

As a Liskarm/Franka fan, I loved seeing their interactions and growth during Originium Dust; needling each other at every opportunity and yet always having the other's back without question. So wholesome and funny. Also their outfits are rad; I had to buy Liskarm's immediately.

It definitely delves into her character and motivations more and provides some subtle nudges about Blacksteel too.
I do have a recording of her Operator Records on my channel but the video is an hour long with the cutscene playing at 2x speed in auto so it's a bit of a hard pass to watch for a lot of people I feel, lol.. It's the longest set of operator record that I know of as I haven't seen all of them yet. Missing Phantom, Ceobe, Firewatch, and Schwarz.

Not goanna lie, I didn't noticed that. I left it at HG been a tease with the skins as always, but never imagines so much could have come of just their clothes. Now, that doesn't mean I don't believe what was said here, if anything is very posible, since we have seen time and time again how the smallest of details grow to become something more important later on.

I think a Blacksteel focused event is very much possible sometime in the future, after all we did get Code of Brawl, a Penguin Logistics focused event. I don't see why they can't make another event focusing on other organizations that work closely with Rhodes Island
It is super interesting coming back to this with the recent Blacksteel event in CN
I'd like to add that Rhodes Island seems to operate like a PMC too, or rather, they own a PMC in the form of the operators of RI.
Perhaps seeing how RI runs and the "good" that RI does inspired Liskarm by showing her that PMC work doesn't always have to be cruel and ruthless.
Not sure how Liskarm maintains posession of a firearm though, thought those where more or less a BSW exclusive, with the licensing and extremely expensive bullets n stuff. Am looking forward to potential Franka skin in the future, though I hope there is also a full hazmat suit reminescent of her BPRS days, would be cool to have another gapmoe operator clad like Mudrock.
The two has so much character development but it doesn't change liskarm's gap moe by suppressing her excitement at times

Blacksteel is probably one of my favourite faction in Arknights and the most anticipated for an event because of Renatus.z. It is indeed surprisingly odd that Blacksteel is one of the earliest faction to be shown in Arknights in-game. Something might have change in the midst of development.
So some additional info we might wanna take into account.
Blacksteel, for one, is some of the earliest faction to be introduced in Arknights, both in story to us players and game development. Alpha Test of Arknights had both Franka and Liskarm to be recruitable. Vanilla is in-game but not part of the Blacksteel circle as we all know. The oddest thing is that I couldn't see Jessica in-game as recruitable operator but do appear in the early chapter. Something might have change down the road but I think that Jessica is not meant to be a free 4* anti-air sniper but a higher rarity operator or its own event's operator down the road. I'm not sure about this as the details are picked from an old video.
Anyway, for information about in-game lores, Jessica was mentioned to join Blacksteel for some "specific reasons". It is still not yet clarified but if Jessica was willing to join Rhodes Island as an exchange training employee, her attachment to Blacksteel might be questionable. Don't forget that she's rich and it still unexplained to why. If such scenario where there will be an internal fighting in Blacksteel, Jessica would probably start chasing after her own motives. Of all Blacksteel operators we know of, Jessica's motive in joining Blacksteel still remain a mystery, other than wanting to increase her self-confidence. Combined with the fact that Jessica is well-versed with equipment testing and pretty competent outside of combat, she's probably a daughter of someone that was influential or something.
One extra note worth mentioning is that Blacksteel remained the few companies outside of Laterano that used Originium firearms as their primary equipment on official capacity. Guns are already rare and expensive and if Blacksteel can field guns in mass capacity, they must have some connections with Laterano or their equipment budget is massive from getting contracts. This will come into play in future events for sure.

Just found an official manga (although that is very short) about the four black steel girls. The story was set at the time around when they came over and corporate with Rhodes. In the story, Franka was accidentally infected during a mission, fortunately she got treated by a Rhodes medic. Although BS is not the worst company when it comes to dealing with infected employees, Franka knew that her career will not proceed anymore.
Working as one of the most important biochemical response agent in BS, Franka used the chance and promoted a corporation with Rhodes, worked as the leader of the project. She didn’t knew Razor would move to Rhodes too. Later, Franka and Razor had some deep talks as they are good friend, Franka told Razor that she is done in BS and was planing to leave that company, and she was impressed by Rhodes’ attitude towards the infected, so she has high interest in promoting to be a Rhodes official employee (Franka was a famed mercenary in the story so I guess anyone in the industry would hire her anyway based on the setting). Razor told Franka that after seeing what Rhodes is she doubted about her dream and her career too, all she want to do is just protect Franka and help her to recover from illness for now. The story ended here.
So yeah maybe nothing big actually happened in BS, it could be that Franka and razor just hopped to Rhodes according to the official manga.

I have my own theories regarding Jessica as well actually... some that is much more dark in comparison. In fact one of the theories has been on my mind since I read a very interesting fanfic in which Jessica was part of that made me think more closely on several different possibilities of the future of Arknights and the future of characters (operators included).
1. As you said Jessica will cry for whatever reason we don't know yet (maybe it will be the whole thing to do with the company as you said)
2. Jessica will go through a "phase" that will change her forever, whenever that "phase" is something from a spurred moment (like above) or something even more darker.... like disappearing without a trace for whatever reason, getting kidnapped, getting tortured or whatever other reason it could be.
3. Jessica dies in the story due to something, whenever that be due to something to do with Originium, infected, killed or for another reason. (in the fanfic I read she was ultimately smashed so hard that she died from some big ass dude when she was offerring supporting fire while both Skadi and Saria were fighting the guy. But due to a mistake and a fatal flaw not seen by either Saria or Skadi in time, the big guy would charge and smash into Jessica with their weapon before the other two realized it happen. Either to due the guy being incredibly fast or due to the slow reaction time of all 3 of them. This lead to Jessica's death in the story (of the fanfic).
Thus I thought perhaps something similar might/could happen in canon. Especially since it's quite common with sad and depressing story content in Arknights. Just like how the death of beagle (if it is true) is a thing. Or the possibility of other operators dying. It shouldn't be out of question if by chance this turns out to be true for not only just Jessica but also for others.
There are some more theories I have in my head about this entire thing but these here are probably the ones I lean on to the most.
EDIT: As of chapter 9, nr 3 is no longer a thing I suppose? since she is still alive. So I'm probably going for option 1 and/or 2. Though nr 3 can still be a thing in the future especially with infected operators.
Have you seen the new chapter 9 trailer in CN? It seems that the Victoria in Darknights Memoir is going to play a bigger role as we all know, a 6 star flag bearer that might be related to Bagpipe and we might get to see more of Hoarder or maybe have him as an Operator since he was hinted at to have been planning something in Victoria for a long time. All and all, there might be people that are more evil than Mephisto and we get to punch some bitches face in, can't fucking wait. What do you think?
