    Love your use of wide sweep elbows and 22 1/2s. Nice and wide open, good flow. Not to many plumbers do this. Good work 👊.

    Was the ETI pentair heater worth the additional expense? Did it require extensive wiring or plumbing changes?

      It’a only a 200K BTU heater. I actually have to go sort a flow issue on this account tomorrow. It takes a while to heat the pool but rocks the spa no problem. I think on a set up that’s less than 20K gallons it’s a great way to go.

    hey Josh, great video, i like to use a sawzall all i can, not a fan of the cable saw, the actuator between the 3 port suction and circ pump, split main drain & skimmer's?... and the Hybrid, where does the condensation go, that beast must drop 10-15 gallons of condensation in an 8 hour run cycle

      Hey Scott! Hope all is well man. Yeah, the Sawzall is a definite time saver over the “Italian bill collectors”. On this one the main drain is tied in through the skimmer and there’s a dedicated suction line for a cleaner. The valve actuator diverts suction between the pool and spa (which are 12’ apart with no equalizer line). As far as the condensation on the Hybrid, it’s not too bad in the dry Arizona climate. The unit has a sacrificial mineral chamber (tube full of rocks) that the condensation passes through so when it comes out it’s not too corrosive.

    i have a Pentair CCP420. Can i replace it with either the CCP520 or the D.E. Quad 4 100 without having to replumb? Are they all direct replacements?

      The easiest thing to do is convert what you have to a 520. It requires a new upper tank half, taller air bypass tube and the 520 cartridges. The quad and DE filters use the same tanks but require changing the plumbing around a bit.

    10:10 Good videos! Why did the old setup have all of those outlets?

    • @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS
      @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS  4 роки тому

      The old set up had separate equipment for the pool and spa, so two heaters, two filter pumps, two filters, and one booster pump (for the spa jets) it had to be that way originally since they didn’t opt for an automation system. Pretty silly since the Jandy Aqualink system was out at the time the pool was originally done back in about 1998. It would have cost the same or a bit less. It was cool to clean this one up. It was a rat’s nest!!!

      @@SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS Wow. I had to ask since I found a couple of outlets hidden in a small control box. That setup looked somewhat similar to my 1971 Pool & Spa. Separate pluming, 2 torpedo looking filters, 2 gas heaters, 2 normal pumps, 1 booster pump & a 4th pump for a water feature (?) and a spiders web of wiring. Thanks again for you videos, really helpful.

    Wow that heater looks expensive to buy, install, maintain, fix, etc......

      Not cheap out of the box but it is tried and true tech in a relatively compact package. As long as the water chemistry is maintained they’ll get a lot of good years and save energy costs die to increased efficiency.

      And the water chemistry WILL be dialed always because our guy Armando who maintains that Pool is on top of his game

    Spray painting the plumbing?!??! Is this a thing in Arizona?

    • @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS
      @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS  4 роки тому

      Yup. Our sun destroys everything. If your equipment isn’t protected by shade, it’s gotta be painted.
