When I was 14 or 15, I spent a lot of time in the woods.. riding my pony, then later on when I out grew Ginger, I'd ride my mare, Dawn. I don't think there were many Sasquatch in our woods. Dawn was very skittish and would have refused to go anywhere a large predator had been. One night, it was better 10 and 11, I was walking back to the house after going out to look at the sky and try to get a hold of my raging teenage hormones. I was following the tree line and just as I've heard in stories, I began to hear very strange very heavy foot steps just down in the trees. I was never afraid to be outside because I was never taught there was anything to be afraid of...but this, for some reason scared me badly. I panicked and began to run like the wind. I would stop every so often to listen because I couldn't believe what I was hearing but each time I would hear 3-4 steps down in the trees. Trees, branches and ground wood snapping. I ran all the way home like that. It was 2 miles from wear I first heard it and it never stopped until I had to go into the trees in order to get home. It has always bothered me what that was but after hearing how Bigfoot likes to follow the tree line I truly wonder

It's been awhile, but I used to either camp or rent a cabin down in the Red River Gorge, kayaking or hiking trails during the day. It is spectacular country. I never had anythihg happen that I could call a Bigfoot encounter. Thing was back then, I had no knowledge about Bigfoot and even if something did happen, in a million years, I would not have thought it could be a Bigfoot. I thought such creatures if they exist, were only out in the PNW or in the Himalayas.
