Virginia would seem to be a highly developed state except there is a large portion of the state that is National Forest. Virginia also has a huge military footprint given its proximity to DC and the excellent natural ports afforded by the Chesapeake Bay and numerous river systems. Inevitably there is overlap between areas of the state that are off-limits to the public due to their being part of a military base and the fairly vast forested lands. I think the Appalachian Mountains are a kind of super highway for Sasquatch, especially the rugged Allegheny side. In Virginia there is ample access to water, wildlife with fairly expansive sections of the state off-limits to civilians. That makes for a perfect Sasquatch Sanctuary.

Let's clear one thing up, sabe (sasquatch) is no ape, it is both a physical and spiritual being who can travel between both worlds, they can be standing inches from you and you would never know.

Ape maybe not however if it is indigenous to planet earth it would most definitely be classified as a upper primate like humans , gorilla's, orangutans and chimpanzees. Indeed they must have special abilities to have gone this long without being a verified species.
