The precision and detail this machine delivers are outstanding, especially with its 30W power, which handles a wide range of materials effortlessly. The setup was straightforward, and the user-friendly interface made it easy to start engraving almost immediately. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, the MONPORT GP 30 offers reliable performance and versatility that’s hard to beat. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their laser engraving work. I love this much!

I have tried messaging Monport several times with zero response. If I understood correctly, standard m55 lenses will work on this machine with the adapter? Both in terms of focus, power, as well as 'it screws on'. I see no m39 lenses sold as accessories but also absolutely no mention on the site whatsoever that these GP machines can swap lenses. I just don't want to get stuck in too small of a work area as well as be detailed when I need it.

The GP 30 Has a wide enough range that i doubt you will need to swap the lenses. I have been using both of mine for various projects and have yet to swap the lenses. Even though I did purchase a couple different lenses for my 20 watt laser I have yet to install them. I have marked as small as print 2.5 mm to large objects like the Slate coaster project this Christmas. with no issues. So unless your certain you need a different lens I would not be too concerned about it.
I like both Units. Power feed on Focus is nice. having the cabinet below is also nice the noisy is not at the level your sitting. Just personal preference.

They are remiss in instructions. I found the "default" lens screws into the arm readily, but the hole was less than the 68mm for the adapter for the lens I got. (Monport F-theta M85 300mm*300mm with the Monport F-theta 85-68mm Lens Adjust Mount required.)
After struggling to comprehend how they could recommend a lens that doesn't fit, even with the Required adapter, I FINALLY found the aluminum mount ring for the "default" lens was actually removable and the port it came out of was 68mm.
HOWEVER you also need a 2.5mm pin wrench. They do NOT provide one.
Thankfully I knew you could get a bike pin wrench that would work off Amazon.
(the screwed in ring has two "pin" holes on either side, the wrench pins go into those and you turn counterclockwise to take it out.)
Also, on the 50Watt GP laser the 300x300 area loss of power wasn't that noticeable, but had to move it slower, by like 80% for same results, but cut same depth. My opinion, all you lose is time for a larger aera.

Nice! Going to get some comparisons to your 20w laser?

Yes! same laser source 30w vs 20 w in a more compact package.

Do you like the xTool products? Their d1 pro is $995, with basic kit $1239 (material kit, 8 riser feet [that might screw into each other] and a 3rd, C axis rotary they call RA2 pro which i think is next level), or their All In One Kit $1400 that also has D1 Pro enclosure/honeycomb/air assist set.......

I'm not to versed on X Tool . I like you, do see all the adds and hype. To me they look more like toys ( just my opinion)
I think they are infrared laser which is slightly different. and the Zed range for marking is short unless you have risers.
I would look around for some good reviews on YT.

Im confused about grounding. I asked monport if i need to use the grounding cable on my gp50 and they said yes. Where can i ground it to if im in my house? I think i saw in one of your videos that you grounded it on a metal tool cart, but dont you need to ground it to a metal object that is at least 6 feet deep into earth?

I haven't had any issues. On the gp30 I didn't even connect it.

@@CNC4XR7 i would assume there would be no issues because its already grounded through the outlet, but as long as I dont touch it with two hands id be good right?

@blackfeet9423 I haven't been extremely careful I'm sure I've had 2 hands on it with my feet in the air lol!
