The did a PHENOMENAL job with the A/B combination of these effects. That “phased chorus” sounds exactly how you’d want it to sound. Same thing with the filtered dimension. A lot of times, effects don’t play well together which can be frustrating when you really want a good combi sound. It took me several iterations of combining different effects with my 500 series pedals to get that really nice reissue electric mistress flanged chorus sound. This pedal seems like it could build that in an absolute heartbeat.
Wow, the market for multi-modulation pedals seems to get populated pretty quickly now: With the Wampler Terraform finally released, the new Boss MD-200 and GFI now also in the game, we seem to get some really nice alternatives to the good old Strymon Mobius and Eventide H9. 👍 I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of a rotary engine in this one tho (at least for now).
Jeez... Andy and RJ both did videos on this pedal and got them posted within 5 minutes of each other. Andy won by 4 minutes, so congrats! Good work guys! : ) By the way... I'm no synth fan but that pedal sounds fantastic, and it seems like you can actually create your own unique effects? Wow.
That’s because the pedal company paid them to demo it and told them when to release the video.. so everyone demos it and releases their videos on the same day.
The name of the pedal has nothing to do with Synth music. Synesthesia is the condition of one sense, whether sight, smell, or “hearing,” is perceived by another, or multiple other senses, and/or perceived as a smell, color, numbers, etc. Very cool name for a multi modulation effect, and it could be used for any type of music.
I don't know much about cab simulators and all that but if I were to get the Cab Zeus and hook it up my amp head, would I still need a load box or does it have one?
What would be the difference between this or having an analog tremolo, an analog phaser and an analog delay? Would you feel a difference (negative one)? Or this is in no way lesser of a pedal than analog pnes?
@@AndyDemos They're really amazing. You can stack up to 6 effects in any order you want, and you can save 50 presets. It's like a budget Zoia! Ha ha! You should definitely pick one up. I'd love to see what awesome sounds "The Pedal Whisperer" could pull out of it! 😉 We have a whole subreddit dedicated to it, over at r/zoommultistomp. You should check it out sometime.
Hello Andy! Great review. Is the built-in octaver polyphonic or monophonic? Also, was there any latency with it? Strongly considering that pedal to replace two of mine.
Agreed. Using an RJM PBC-6X on my board I expected the Pre/Post to be much like the Möbius, however the function’s redundant for a programmable loop switcher.
@@ezm69 My effects split to stereo after my SuperEgo+. My BEF is in my mono line in front, but I like my Tremelos in my stereo chain, and stereo phaser is sweet too (BEF Pro does phaser and auto-wah, but these new stereo multis are changing the game!).
Anyone remember that first multi mod they built years ago, back when the Clockworks V1 had just been released. It had some excellent sounds, but just wasn’t very pedalboard practical. Every sound I’ve heard out of the Synesthesia are excellent.
Viva Vito Yeah, I really thought it had killer sounds, and I thought the V2 was going to be there signature modulation pedal, but I guess it just didn’t catch on in the states. It had so many possibilities, with parallel or in series, effects loop, and just the way it could stack the effects made some unique stuff that other multi mods didn’t. The Synesthesia seems to be more in line with the Specular and Clockworks pedals, which both are excellent effects at really nice price points.
This pedal is cool but it's really pissing me off, the manual is useless. I'm trying to simply save a preset and the manual says to hold X and Y down until you get the save option, but I never get that I only get the "Swap X and Y" bullshit. I've tried holding them down for different lengths of time and I cannot get to the save menu completely rendering this pedal pointless for me because I need to use it with MIDI. Nothing sucks worse than buying a pedal and having to fuck with it for hours to get basic tasks done. Wouldn't recommend.
Andy is truly a man of the guitar gods! Best demos anywhere!
GFI System always comes out with unbelievably impressive pedals, and this one is no different 😀

Hope you're liking the rotary engine on the new firmware update! :D Check out Andy's demo on that one!
Wow - there are years of fun in that box.
I asked Andy to do the demo and surprise, surprise my Lord of Clean Tone did deliver 😂

@@cjscala87 Yes...Money is GOOD. Right?
its not a synth pedal

Was not ready for that amount of stereo, I’m dizzzzzzzy.
Imagine if GFI makes a helix style processor with the cab zeus, tempus, jonassus drive and this beauty :o
You could sell all your other gear lmao

I see Andy, I click like crazy.
I wonder if with this pedal you can get sonic youth's "the diamond sea" effect
Yes, there's a Vocal Formant Filter mode that gets the same "aye, aye, aye.." sound!
Really want a dual mod pedal, Ive watched a lot on this pedal still not convinced but this vid may change my opinion
Good pedal, good demo...

Great demo, as per usual. 👍
Andy, have you ever messed around with a Zoom MS-70CDR?
Thanks! No, only thing Zoom I own is a H6 recorder. Seems like a good budget do-it-all though.

Hi Andy! Would you recommend it over the boss md-500? Thanks!
Wait, no stereo input, even through a TRS splitter? Am I getting that right?
Yeah it looks like it. That fine tho since your stereo effects (delay and reverb) will usually be after it
@@cyrnoz1803 Yeah that's true for most people. Unfortunately I run a rig from my keyboard that starts the chain in stereo.

Christopher Payeur 3:14 Polyphonic! I didn’t think the latency was long, there’s always going to be a little.
Too bad you have to have both effects either before or after the loop. The loop should be between the 2 effects like on the MD-500.

I'm afraid the Terraform on my board didn't last long.........
Guess you dont need stereo input
I need stereo input for where I want to place my modulation. This lacks that.
@@XIIMonkeysMusicGroup that's why I'll keep it for synths but I don't need stereo in for guitar. I never split to stereo before modulation.
@@shckltnebay not for guitar I don't. 🤠 That said, I'll keep the Terraform for synths etc where I do.

Does this have stereo in?
Nope. Been asked on other demos too.
Puh, sounds very sterile....
I understand, digital mods still don't do it for me.
yeah. You'd think for that money there'd be a way to add gain or something to make it not sound like a computer. Shame.
