- This is a 9 minute video of the sound of my Yamaha V Star 250 on a ride home from work. The exhaust has 3 holes drilled in the rear exhaust baffle plate. This gives a touch more sound and power. The sound is not the best and actually is a little deeper
Man you live in a nice place, hardly any traffic and small towns
like your muffler sound
Thank you
@@Timealongtheway youre wellcome
which pipe did you drilled? I know that upper one is fake but does that mean nothing goes out of that pipe? only from the bottom?I'm looking to buy v star 250 and also want to do something to improve the sound.
Nice tach, was it hard to install? I finally saw one in Brooklyn, N.Y while i was on my bike, it was smaller but longer than my bike it would seem scary on the highway. I'm 5'9" 170lb am i too fat for this bike?
No it was fairly easy to install but you have to connect the tach down under the gas tank on the coil input. You will need a wiring diagram to find the right wire to tie to. To your second question I think you are asking how the bike performs on the highway. Well depends on what kind of highway. If it is fast freeway you won't get much more than just over 70 mph. It may go faster depending on hills and winds. Secondly I am 6'2" and weigh over 195 lbs and I don't have much problem on highways around here and I can keep my speed up in the mountain passes to highway speeds 100 km/hr 60+ mph.
+Steve Coe nice thanks!
You're inexpensive camera is really nice man! its not bad quality and the audio with headphones sounds spot on.. + i hope you know the top exhust pipe is a fake the bottom is real. but if you haven't already figured that out. you know now haha. but its an amazing bike. im 17 and want a v start 250 for work, school and home
what brand is that tachometer?????
also i have this same camera and i love it. it takes great quality videos for the price point
I will give a link to my website where I have the accessories and where I bought them. Look under the modification and accessories menu. sites.google.com/site/kootenayrideloops/
that's a commitment. I hope this bike is the one for me to meet my traveling. I dont care for a high speed bike since most highways max speed up to 110 km/h and most common overspeed up to 125 km/h.
Do you still have that bike??
No I don't own the bike (or any) any more. Enjoyed it while I had it though.
geezzz, I hope that was not wide open throttle at 3min 22 sec. If it was even 3/4 throttle then the Honda Rebel is faster. lol I like those little 'stars. I had a 650 and it was a butter smooth ride.
nice vid dude! Sounds great!
it definitely wasn't. the rebel 250 is Slow compared to the v star
Weird shift problem. What did it turn out to be ?
+Sean Finkel Not to sure as this happens very seldom. Possible the mechanical just gets out of alignment slightly. I suppose I could have downshifted one more gear then upshifted again which would probably resolved the problem.
Oh, and what town is this ?
+Sean Finkel This is Trail, BC
