@@iAmLeslieJones lettuce, tomatoes, onions, collards, mustards, kale, asparagus, cabbage Brussel sprouts, green beans, passion fruit, pineapple, lemons, cherries, blue berries, black berries, mango, banana, lemongrass, papaya, peanuts, squash, and a bunch of different herbs.
@iAmLeslieJones Gardening has become my therapy! Also, having the ability to just walk outside and pick your food and to know exactly where it came from is so satisfying.
You should take a gardening course from your local extension department in that city. Just like we have extension agents here in the USA. They are agronomists in Ghana. That way you learn the proper information for your soil and they can do the ph of the soil plus they can tell you what amendments you need to add to the soil as a result of taking a sample of your soil. It is very simple to do in minutes
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Farming is a big passion of mine. I highly encourage you to start composting. Save all those brown leaves (carbon) and mix with your kitchen waste, (nitrogen) to give you black gold for your garden.
Wow 😮 amazing girl, that's great to see you growing food on the land by the beach ☀️ waiting to see how it turns out! You have a good helper! Enjoy your time in ghana 🇬🇭 Thanks for sharing, shalom
The cracks in the wall are a common problem in Ghana 🇬🇭 because the contractors never use the correct ratios when mixing the concrete. They just eye 👁️ ball it and mix it on the ground which is incorrect. I would get those walls plastered asap to prevent anymore erosion from happening. Also make sure who ever plasters it gets there ratios correct. It should postpone any more cracks. Next time you build a wall you should use a much cheaper method but the blocks won’t crack using earth blocks with small amounts of cement mixed in. This will give the blocks the toughness and flexibility and they won’t crack as they dry. You can also use this method when building the frame of your home and you won’t suffer from cracks. Congratulations on your garden though and keep the good vibes and videos coming.
Sis this beachfront land you have acquired will be worth a fortune in the next few years I promise you as a Ghanaian -American. Congratulations sis. Great investment 👍👊🏿
I love the food gardening provides. Gardening is a lot of work. I have a huge respect for people with green thumbs. Not easy at all after starting mine.

You should soak your seeds for at least 24 - 48 hours each type of them in their only cup of water and don’t forget to label them. Then remove them from there shells very carefully you don’t want to damage them! Then add some fertilizer to your soil and plant your seeds by doing it this way will help them germinate faster.
I love you Leslie! Love your projects and what you are doing out there in Ghana. I am half-Nigerian and am starting of thinking of buying land out that way myself. @@iAmLeslieJones Okay clearly I need to go back to the plant-based lifestyle full time lol. I'm planting a lot. I've got artichoke going, carrots, celery, cucumber, jalapeno, chives, squash and more!
Will you build a second coconut hut for yourself since Seth is now staying in the one? I would build it on a moveable slab, so you can move it if things don’t go as planned. You can have another business & move & rent those out to people that are building. Thank me later and credit me for the idea…. I’ll take my own coconut hut & garden spot for my idea.
@@iAmLeslieJones im from Ghana. Own 8 plots of land and don’t have the deeds yet. In Ghana they take years to get them. U always do your search through the lands commission and if it belongs to no one, get the surveyor and hopefully u get endentures.
Just waiting for the developer to register the portion of land he didn’t have authority to sell so I can restart my registration for the deed. I’m just waiting. Who knows when it’ll be ready.
Why didn’t you consult the extension agronomist like I suggested previously. You are planting collard seeds all together like 1inch apart. Why? The should be around 10 - 12 inches apart because collards grow big.
Be careful of those scammers with our the deed they can resell your property and take everything you worked hard for. Don't do nothing till is in your hand hopefully you have a trusted lawyer. 🌄🦍
I’ve received two none registrable indentures from the developer. I would not stop at indentures. The garden I can take a chance on but a building. Nope.
No one is more affected by the negligence, lies, and unprofessionalism which is why the process is slow more than me. Hang on in there. You will make it through.
It's painful to see you try to buy land and can't get the deed right! People are just money hungry! The law is no help! I bought land in the central region and all are well! When you get land go to the king or chief in the area because they control the land! With their approval along with the search and getting the land survey first before money is paid to anyone!
