It goes by fast but the message " if you are trapped in darkness, you cannot see the beauty of life around you" Here both the leads are trapped in their sorrow and grief of losing their family and anger of revenge. If we don't accept our feelings and move on, these feeling will ultimately be the end of ourselves. Like how both the leads goals led to their own end This is a beautiful deep dark movie

I think this is the best gangster movie I have ever watched in Korea. Everything is well portrayed. The main actor and actress did a very good Job aswell as the supporting actors and actresses. It's so clean and the emotions are simple but so deep. The main actor caught my heart so much. It's so realistic and incredible how he nailed his character in every set! I wish I could see more of your action movies in the future. Incredible!!! . The Director is such a genius.. It's PHENOMENAL!
I don't always watch noire movies because they're heavy and tend to hollow me. But this movie interested me because it has another flavour, a new way of expressing this genre, finally with a different role for a female lead. And the sceneries of Jeju island with the background music contributed to the whole story. But it's the actors in the movie vs. the actors in real life/ behind the scenes that blew my mind. In an instant they switch from brutal, blunt or sulky to witty, funny, even shy. 😳 I wanna see more of them in future projects. 🙂
