  • @Easyflux
    @Easyflux 10 років тому +5

    Amazingly cool idea and somewhat execution, but you sure are making it hard for yourself there mate. first of all, why the narrow mattress? :P That's asking for bruises. Which leads to the next point, why the narrow and singular metal beam to walk on? Why not widen the beam, and have two of them? It's hard enough hanging upside down, if you don't have to perform a sobriety "walk the line" test upside down aswell lol.
    And one last thing, those buttons for releasing the magnets could have had some longer cords, yeah? They're so short, you're basically pulling with most of your bodyweight on them, no wonder your legs come flying towards you once you release them (especially when the boots are, I assume, heavy aswell).
    Just giving my immediate pointers here, not trying to piss on your parade or anything. It's just some of the things I see that could have done better/easier. Nice going though, it is very original and a first time I've seen someone attempt it.

    • @Easyflux

      Obviously I didn't wait until the complete end of the video before commenting, like an idiot... Still, the cords for the switches still pretty essential.

    At the very least, this gives major proof of concept. It could be possible for this to become a standard of the construction industry in the future. With enough research, it could become affordable to create magnets with the proper power, proper harnesses, etc, to allow for work on, say, bridges, and skyscrapers utilizing magnetic body-systems.
    Very impressive!

    This is so cool! If you rigged up a momentary switch to turn the electromagnet off at the front of each shoe, you could use a more natural walking movement by rolling your foot forward, deactivate the electromagnet in that shoe to 'lift' your foot and then stepping down with you heel and reactivated electromag... I reckon you could do it easy Colin!
