Awesome video. I didn't realize those were scripts people had setup. This makes me much more likely to use it in the future.
I love your theming! what icon pack are you using?
Thanks! I use papirus-remix
Thanks!
Does it only works with the programs on the list?... or with any windows program?
Since Windows applications are not secure, you should create a separate user account and run them like that, just so they don't have access to your home folder. Other than that, great tutorial!
Thanks. And well, it depends what software you're using... Most professional software is fine, and it's not like much can happen in a Linux system without root permissions anyways...
You don't need root permissions to delete or modify files in your home folder. And all the files you have there (typically, your documents, music, photos etc...) are visible and accessible to any software that runs on Wine. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I don't trust proprietary software.
Making a second user just for Wine is easy and completely avoids any such problems.
Have you tried running windows apps through firejail?
@ Well you just need to be careful. And ALWAYS have backups.
@@Xeno_Bardock I haven't, and I'm not sure how well POL/wine would work in it...
Thanks man
What panel/menu are you using?
send the link of your wallpaper please
Good video once again
Thanks!
You're a saint and I love you
Haha thanks!
Very nice job!

Failed to initialize NVML: Driver/library version mismatch

Are you trying to install the Windows version or something?
Wich Linux are you using. It would be very helpful thx
In this video I was using Arch. But I have since switched to using Debian.
Hi, is it possible to run cad softwares on it? Like solidworks, Keyshot? Autodesk softwares?
Probably. You would have to check the WineHQ database.
I managed to install Fusion360, but it has some bugs (floating areas etc.) and isn't easy to achieve. Depending on your skills.
Super Tutorial - got me running
Glad to hear it!
will this method work for Kali linux 🤔?👍
it works on anything
i love your wideo awesome
Thank you so much 😀
what o.s. version of linux did you used in this video?
I used 3 different distros. Arch, Fedora and Q4OS.
Anyone made MS Office 2016 or 2019 to work with PoL?
so if i download photoshop on there, does it also sync with my account?
No I don't think so.
I'm struggling to install Blu Ray Software in Debian using Raspberry Pi OS x86 on an old XP Laptop. Any tips?
What package are you trying to install?
@@Doriandotslash Blu ray software from a disc, Power DVD 12.
There might be a guide out there for it, but the issue for the pi will be that the computer has an Arm processor so it can’t run x86 applications.
Hi ..
is using 🍷 wine safe on Linux ?
Just don't get drunk
What would be great is someone showing all the Windows programs that work on Linux or go through a large list of common ones and show they work. I haven't seen but a small selection so far.
There are too many programs to do this. However, you can check the winehq website to search for programs you want to use and see if it works or not.
DorianDotSlash this app work in linux armhf?
Tough question because I don't own that hardware... If it can run amd64 binaries, then I don't see why it wouldn't work...
@@Doriandotslash ok thanks bro
i didnt found my "play on my linux" on my linux
Any problm install windows software in Linux?
No if comport with wine and plyonlinax
Is there elgoto software?
Not sure. But Linux runs most hardware out of the box.
Ok so I have a question I plan on installing Linux as an os and Ubuntu as a desktop and have Microsoft store installed so I can have the ms store, is this possible or am I being an idiot and there’s multipul things wrong with this sentence?
Okay thanks....
can you write wallpaper name pls?
I don't remember them all, but I usually just search the web for "low poly wallpaper" or "minimalist wallpaper". There's lots of nice ones out there.
Can you play windows games on Linux
Yes with Proton, Look at this Seite an you See there over 6500 works on Linux www.protondb.com/
@@serdarxxx1073 You don't have to use proton. Many games work with just wine.
I find Lutris to work really well as a front end for Wine for games, especially for older games available on GOG (which i play a lot of)
Can we install cracked premier pro cc in ubuntu??
And other windowns cracked softwares?
Did you find the answer bro?
@@verdrehteseele8525 did you find the answer, lol
Лучше установить Линукс отдельно, а виндоуз пусть будет второй системой.
Не у всех памяти хватает
it's better to trash windows, and run linux exclusively
On my Ubuntu software it's showing no application found
Very odd. What version of Ubuntu?
@@Doriandotslash it's 18.04 but I got it for terminal thanks
@@nyfunnsdeo6744 It should work then... If you do 'sudo apt update' in the terminal and then 'sudo apt install playonlinux' it should install because it is in the repositories.
ok I did it can i can play valorant now yay
WINE 👍 nice video.
Adobe apps in Linux . . . Nice!
W.ine I.s N.ot an E.mulator
Kindest regards.
You mean you don't use GIMP? Bad boy alert
It is best to have two Windows and Linux systems on the same machine,so it is more convenient.
if you do, windows WILL fuck up your linux boot partition
Are these two programs for free?
PlayOnLinux is free yes.
But CS6 is horribly outdated.
I guess, but it works perfectly fine and does exactly what I need for making thumbnails. I don't plan on upgrading anytime...
Also try Photoline (www.pl32.com/) as a alternative for Photoshop. Okay ist commercial, Windows and Mac only but it works very well in Wine. I just dislike GIMP, everything feels clumsy.
It is still way ahead of present day GIMP
I'm still using Photoshop 7.0 on a daily basis. Never used anything newer than CS5, and one of my work places still use 4.
Adobe really shot themselves to the foot with the Cloud based trash.
this is not a how to you diddt show us how to download wine how to fire it up and more
Right at the beginning I mentioned how to install PlayOnLinux from the package manager. When you install POL, it installs wine as well. Then you just use POL to install Windows software. No need to directly interact with wine.
Which version of Photoshop are you using?
CS6
