Hey Matt, this is Loren from Louisiana. I’ve been watching your videos on UA-cam and I think your self working card tricks are amazing. So far I have learned about seven card tricks from your videos and I have a few more I’m practicing and learning. Your card tricks are easy to understand when you are demonstrating them. Keep them coming, can’t wait to see more.
Thanks again
Loren
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks Matt. What a great trick. Great for an opener with the set up. Your tutorials are clear an precise. I hope all is well with you.😊
These tutorials are the best, and you, good sir, are a rock star!! 🤩 Thank you so much for teaching us these tricks!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Glad you like them!
crazy man!!!
I am a beginner and this is a great bonus to my magic tricks!
Great to see you back. Another brilliant trick.
The man is back. Great work my bro 💪🏽
Appreciate it!!
You are a amazing magician, your tricks have always bamboozled me! :)
Thanks so much bro! 👊
for everyone that is german like me, you can still do this by using the ace of clubs instead of the ace of spades. the problem with the ace of spades in german is that the german word for spade is pik, which is too short, but kreuz, which is german for clubs, has the right amounnt of letters. ace and ass also share the same length of 3 letters. at least thats the workaround i thought about and i dont see why it shouldnt work, havent tried yet though. still thanks for showing that card trick, defo gonna use it :3
10/20 force is a great force. I learned it from a beginner card magic book many years ago. This trick is a great use of it. I appreciate any card trick that has a bonus surprise. Also like any false shuffle where you see cards faces moving. Great use of multiple techniques. 👍
Thanks for sharing this one. I love it.
A+ 🎉 great routine
Whenever i do the 10/20 method i never get the ace of spades i have never gotten it no matter how many times i set it up exactly like how you did it and no matter how many times i watched it. i have no idea how it works in general or for others
Just try the force on its own. Put the ace 10th from the top. Let’s say they pick a number 16. Deal 16 cards into a pile so their order is reversed. Pick up the same packet. 1+6 =7. Deal down to the 7th card. Is it the Ace?
Great trick Matt 👍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Bro you weren't lying that's a freaking good trick man🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fun fact, if you use the 10 of Hearts, it still works plus you get the bonus of using the printed 10 of Hearts on the Bicycle box as an additional reveal.
I almost fainted from shock!
Greag as, always! Thanks for sharing!
Super super trick.
More of these videos PLEASE
You got it
Love it, thanks
Love you tricks
Brilliant Matt
Bro the best trick in the world thank you brother thank you
Holy F! This is so sick!!!!
Brilliant!
He’s back
very amazing trick indeed
Nice to see old becoming new again. This an old Stuart James effect. Better Than That. Almost 100 years old.
The man was a legend. It’s surprising how often classics like this get forgotten. Glad you enjoyed!
I consider this semi self working because if it requires a pre-perfomanced set up. It's not exactly 100% self working.
Interesting. A tweaked version of Further Than That!
This trick came out years ago & it's called "Further Than That". Michael Ammar teaches it on his ETMCM series.
Yes originally by Stewart James. Just my take on it.
@@MattMcGurk It's pretty much the same trick.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the type of marker that could be used but easily cleaned off later. I wouldn't want to spoil a decent pack of cards with those marks, just for one trick.
If you want to avoid the marks, but still want a similar effect. Stack the deck so that each card is 26 cards away from its mate eg: 1st 6 diamonds, 27th Card 6 hearts. Then perform the trick as normal. Their cards will match at the end.
@@MattMcGurk I came to the same conclusion myself. Rather than just use the same number in a different suit, I'd use a rule that the pair add up to 14. So you would pair Aces with Kings, Twos with Queens, Threes with Jacks, fours with Tens, etc..
It would make the pairing less obvious if you do the same trick more than once. So I'm thinking the punchline is "Oh, that's wrong, that's not your card because you picked ..." So the question is "How did I know that"
You could use hearts instead if you want, because "spade" and "heart" are both 5 letters long- just change the flushes both to hearts and swap AH for AS you used in the video!
Absolutely
Can use clubs too
Love it Matt. The set up is so easy and I like how it’s ready again within seconds. I hope you and your family had an amazing Thanksgiving and that you, as a professional magician, made the turkey disappear! Be well…Manny!
Because of you I am popular in school❤
Awesome!!
What do you count if the number is 7 ? So 5-2 4-3 6-1 ? Under double digits I’m confused
A number in between 10 and 20 will always have 2 digits.
Could you please make half of the screen from the spectators point of view and the other half from your point of you. Thank you😊😊
So the explanation from behind? Or you mean split screen all the way through?
Excellent trick to show the fam (non-magi)
as soon as i think your done u say "no, no no, We can do better than that"
Always another phase!
Every time I try it doesn't Works. When you add the two digits of the number between 10-20 and there should be the ace of spades the is always the J of spades. And I did the preparation correct and repeated it many times. Always not the Ace
You’re missing something somewhere! Just take a break and watch the tutorial again. You should be able to spot where you go wrong.
I’d check the order of the set up at the start, make sure your total flushing the correct order, the order I show in the explanation.
@@MattMcGurk Thanks, I will try.
did you ever figure it out because i have the same problem
@@KoenB-r9p Yes because at my failing step, i turned around the wrong card every time😂it was one card to much or to less i don't know exactly
👍
Good trick…However, it’s been my experience that anytime I do a card trick and the spectator ends up with the ace of spades…It screams setup or force.
It has just as much chance as any other card to be chosen 😂 you could use the 10 and then produce the 4 tens. Also just stack the royal flush in reverse order and you’re good to go.
It’s been to long mate 👍
I’ve been busy bro! 👊
already seen this trick on UA-cam
It's illegal for this trick to be free
Wdym?
No sleight of hand? The sleight of hand is the shuffle keeping the top cards on top. I'm pretty sure there will be some people that catch this.
Not at all, unless you draw attention to it. It should be something that happens in the background as you chat to them. It’s also optional.
@@MattMcGurk yeah, I didn't catch it when you did it. You were pretty smooth about it.
@@BillGreenAZ Don't run when you're not being chased. Keep it cool and no one has any reason to suspect anything 😀
Matt this is a fantastic trick. Stewart James would be happy. Wonderful presentation and brilliant tutorial. 🎉😊👍😊👍👏👏👏👏🪄✨️✨️✨️🥃🥃
Thanks so much Robert! Your support means everything 👊
@MattMcGurk Likewise Matt 👍😊👍
