- I went to Paris for my engineering exams and I grabed a few shots while exploring the city with my skateboard.
I shot everything handheld, the warp stabiliser makes wonders !

Your edit inspire me... not to copy, but to explore a whole new bunch of possibilities! U rule!
I'm glad to hear that. That's what I'm here for !
I would appreciate it if you Could make a Tutorial about this Video. Something about you Camera Settings (FPS) Or how you edit the Slow Mo or Something Else like This !
This Video ist Amazing !!
720 60fps? Dope. Didn't know it could look this good
Amazingly stable
Which Stabilizer you used ?
None
edit : wow didn't see that was this old sorry ahah
insane.
Nicolas Gaillard this can't be handheld
Wrap Stabilizer in Adobe Premiere ?
Really fascinating..amazing work. Never imagined such a cinematic look can be achieved from a dx camera.
Je kiffe trop cette video! You should make a tutorial on how you edit your videos!
I want to start making videos too!
Wow, I am in AWE!!! This is the best video I've ever seen taken with D7200! I had no idea you can achieve that! Your camera movements are stunning! So smooth! What do you use for stabilizing, and how do you deal with camera hand shake?
Thanks ! This was all stabilised with the warp stab in premiere.
Smashed it!!! Great sound mixing, beautiful shots, love the speed sync. Truly superb, hard to find good content on youtube like this from amateurs these days. Subscribed!
NEEKED [4AEC] Thank you :)
great video dude! so stable for handheld shots! love your grade and transitions! very nice!
Holy shit these shots almost just inspired me to buy a ronin just cause of how smooth they are but then I saw your description. So dope man
😍camera is amazing
J’hésitais a acheter cet objectif. Je suis maintenant décidé. Super beau travail.
Damn this looks great. About to purchase this lens
Buy it already !
Just subscribed brilliant footage!
Nice can I get this lens for the Nikon D3400?
Hey how did you set your camera to record 2:25? That time lapse looks really good . Did you keep it at 60fps or did you go lower? Thank you!! This looks so awesome
I just recorded normal vidéo and speed ramped it to 2000% or something, with motion blur on top.
Great job! I want to do similiar stuff with my D7000
Have you thought about a career in filmmaking instead of engineering? Because my dude, you're seriously talented. Amazing video, but such a shame it's in 720p, and looks so soft. This deserved to be in glorious 1080p
loved the video. just got my d7200 and can't wait to test it out.
this is amazing shots and direct way so cool i like it
The Clips are looking like you used some camera stabilizers or something. I'm amazed that you shot them handheld and even after adding the warp stabilizer, the corners of the clips are not that much waving, that they use to do in general.
I was on a skateboard, which helps alot
Wow man. I never used a skateboard for filmmaking, I don't even have one. But I definitely wanna try once😁
How is the tokino 11-16mm for photos??
Vlogs Rayquan It's the best APSC wide angle lens
You are excellent to shoot. Please upload more videos and specification and How to video shoot manually ?
Amazing. But man u need atleast 1080p. This seriously looks low res.
What effect did you used to make the zoom in/out transition? It's so smooth! Great video!
Woah! This is what I needed to start video with my D7200 plus Tokina?! Hells yeah!
Merci ;)
Sick!!! amazing video man! How did you do the 02:28 carrousel blur effect?
Amazing, talented video. Congrats! I'm impressed
I come here at least once a year to rewatch this
This will be awesome if it in 1080
Hey I liked the video! I'm also shooting on a Nikon and thinking about getting this lens. Does it have a stabiliser build in? And did you use the warp stabilisier in Premiere?
Daniel Walther Thanks man. No it doesn't have a stabiliser and yes I used the warp in Pr .
Amazing job! Did you use nd filters for the day shots?
0:43 transition shot was so good
Dude this is actual goals! So good, just want mine to be as amazing as yours!
Amazing edit, hope you get the job at Team overkill!
Love the way you see the city. very inspiring!
Nicolas Gaillard d'accord. Merci. En tout cas continue comme ça !! C'est top !
propre !
Some people say this lens has a flare problem. Is it true? Should I get the 11-20 instead?
I don't know I like flares ahah. But yes there is a very specific position at 16mm were the image gets washed out if there's bright sun . It's never been a problem for me as 1: it's very rare that it happens, 2: it's very easy to avoid (move your lens 2°, or zoom out a touch).
Nicolas Gaillard Thank you so much man! I'm getting this lens soon 😉
Which picture control settings did you use??
I used the flat picture profile
This is such an amazing work. Btw what software are u using for the color-grading?
I create my own luts with adobe camera raw, and I do small adjustments with lumetri in premiere.
Nicolas Gaillard thank you so much! Looking for more cinematic vids from you 😊
is a tokina lens a nikon lens? and what does that f. something mean?
this really perfect , i want ask how you shoot slow motion by nikon720?!
SOLI 7 B he shoots at 60 fps (1080p or 720p) and then slows it down to 30 or 24 fps
Beautiful creation. Very cinematic.
How did you combine Warp & Speed effects? Usually Premiere tells you that you cannot combine? Btw: not only this video is awesome. Great work!
You have to imbricate the clip before applying the other effect ;)
I LOVE IT!!
Awesome edits mister!!
amazing!
niice! warp stabilizer is the best. did you use the vcso pack in premiere?
Not directly, I created a lut from a preset (Afga vista 100++) using the software "look converter"
what software for editing u used and did u use the in built slo mo capability or post and how did u do that pan out slow no fast forward transition ...great video
I use premiere pro. The transitions were made by speeding up the end of one clip and speeding down the start of the next clip.
Awesome video! smooth slo mos! Keep it up :D
Excellent work ! Please let me know the mystery behind the smooth shoot
SSS - TV warp stabilizer in Adobe pp
Hey just wonderin whats aperture are u into @0:35 with the sun rays. Do you have a polarizer or ND filter on? Tnx
Lee sOo It was f/14 or f/16, and no I don't use filters.
Tnx. Wondering why i cant produce that effect even at f22 😦
What lens do you use ?
Nicolas Gaillard only kit lens 18-55mm.
You should be able to get it at 18mm f/16. It only works with sharp lights, like if the sun is behind a thin cloud it won't work.
Damn thanks for making this
Definitely an inspiration! So great!
Hey, amazing edit. ;) Got a few questions. Do you use twixtor or just regular time remapping for these smooth transitions? I've also heard about optical flow or something in Premiere? Have you ever used that? And at what shutter angle is you're motion blur, it's looking incredible! Thanks a lot, keep up the great work! :)
I do use twixtor for these transitions, never tried optical flow nor heard about it ahah. I shot everything at 180° angle, but I bet you are talking about the motion blur in the accelerated parts like the carrousel or the alley in the begining. For that I used the motion blur option in twixtor and set it to 0.5
Is motion blur within twixtor different from just applying a motion blur transition?
+Adam Pikielny Yep, just like when you do a slow motion, twixtor interpolates the motion between two frames. In that case it tries to analyse what has changed to create an artificial blur just in the correct areas.
+Nicolas Gaillard Thank you so much! I never thought Twixtor would speed up clips so smooth. :)
Such a clean edit!
Nice one 🌿✌🏻
beautiful shots! well done
Whoa! Such a nice edit!
How do you do your color correction?? It's sick bro!
I use Adobe camera raw to create a lut that I use in premiere
@@NicolasGaillard Can you show how you do that in a tutorial?
holy shit, this is seriously sick!
Serious thanks
Did you use lens distortion?? And do you know how to register this lens profile???
No I didn't correct the lens distortion if that's the question
Yeah man thats the question and another one im using this lens on the canon 80d do you know how to register the lens for the camera?
I have no idea what you are talking about ^^ The lens doesn't work on your 80D ?
Theres a usb that you use to plug into you computer and camera to register your leneses for canon atleast. The lenese works but it will work better if you register it. But its all good man. Nive video
Oh you got the mark II, I got the first one and there's none of that stuff
sick video mate
Thanks m8 !
great one man , nikon love
Dinguerie encore une fois !
Merci mec ;)
Nice Montage.
Beatiful footage! 😄
Dat edit though! @0:41
Awesome video dude
love your video!
realy nice man!!
great video!
amazing job nicolas, love it!
Thank you :)
très très propre
Merci mec ;)
I love you and I am so happy I stumbled on your page.
Tyler Mcghee Thanks a lot !
I'm so fascinated your a Nikon user. I never knew they had such great stabilization. Come out to the United States and we'll go shoot!
Tyler Mcghee There is absolutely no stabilisation in Nikon bodies, everything is done in post
Wow. After effects, premiere, or final cut did that stabilization?? That's crazy. Can you refer me to a tutorial on how you sky replaced with stars in the mountains? The one in the Alpine Adventures video.
Just the built in warp stabiliser in premiere. For the sky replacement I used mocha, but I don't know if there's a tutorial about it. Once you understand how mocha works it's pretty easy, you just need to track a mask on the original sky, then track the footage with the 3D camera tracker in Ae to place the star background.
Great!
Thanks !
wow...this is so well done!!
still watching this, haha
what did you use for slow mo ?
My camera ?
what I mean is did you use twixtor or some other plugin ?
Denden I used twixtor for the speed ramps only
oh thanks! jaw dropping video man!
So dope, your an inspiration!
Thank you so much :)
Super montage :)
Merci !
super sick as always
Thank you man ;)
Beautiful :)
Appreciate it ;)
I dont think this was a d7200 video.
Mod Bull What makes you think that ?
Nicolas Gaillard It look like shooted Full frame dslr and 4k Camera.
Nicolas Gaillard and aspect ratio
It probably looks like because my lens has the same fov as 16mm on full frame, which you might be used to see. As for the aspect ratio, I just added black bars, the original is 16:9.
Nicolas Gaillard Ok thanks alot to response me. Sorry bcoz i never tried that.
Hi, Nicolas! your video is great!!
your tokina lens is 11-16 version I or II ? and how good the autofocus work?
... coz I am planning to get one for my D7200
thanks
Arup Khan go for mk2 if u don't have a internal auto focus motor, which I don't think the d7200 does.
Mine is the version 1, the autofocus is great. The D7200 has an internal AF motor btw, so you can get non-motorised lenses
