I really don't give a shit about their behavior. They make great music in the studio. To me concerts are purely made so that I can enjoy them live and that means enjoying them fuck around and being drunk. Obviously people don't see it this way but, I love Jon and its fucking hilarious to see him drunk.
@TheReverend777 He only screamed for one album (Happiness). In the music video it shows him screaming because Jon Mess (current screamer) wasn't in the band at the time but he did the screaming for the album.
@bassman31793 I saw them at Warped multiple times and they were pretty much flawless accept on Robot w/ human hair the guitars got sloppy. You can't judge on one performance. Because they're amazing, they can act however the fuck they want just as you and I can. So until you show me that you can do better, you should rethink what you say
I'm aware that Jonny shits the bed pretty often during live shows, but can we all agree that the rest of the band is usually crazy spot on considering the technicality of their songs? The Drums/Guitar/Basswork is amazing! Especially Will Swan, he's been with DGD from day one, and I can't say I've seen him play poorly even once.
@thatdamnwetback The guitarist (Josh Benton) and the bassist (I forgot his name lol) are filling on for the tour. Benton is there for the forseeable future though, seeing as they only have one gutarist, while the bassist is filling in while Eric is going to school.
When I close my eyes I imagine that band is hopping around and making somersaults all the time and rocking out hard, but audition is like there just standing and being awkward, maybe just some action in middle, but still not everybody was sick.
Bobby Van Stone lmao 6 year old comment but thats will swan, he did unclean vocals on the album happiness but thats the only album thus far without jon mess on it
@circaxmk Oh, it's definitely not Tony Marks. It looks nothing like him, Tony is a lot better then this guy, plays with a pick, and has a completely different bass tone. Eric is only going to be on warped tour because he has a full time job. He just records now.
Jonny improvs a lot. I’m convinced even the album lyrics get kind of dropped and changed on the spot. He has the melody in his head but sometimes changes words here and there.
No. I do theater. You can't just decide to mess around because you feel like it. The audience payed to get in, and as a member of the performance it is your job to give every audience the same performance.
@bassman31793 You need to get over yourself bro, seriously. Jonny and Jon are better than 90% of other vocalists and sound almost as close as possible to the album as anyone can get, and that shit isn't exactly easy. Everyone has off days and even on good days some songs and parts of songs are harder than others. If you like their music then you'll get over it, and if not then the rest of us DGD fans don't really care and you KNOW that Jonny doesn't give a fuck.
I like how people are saying, o they had colds and were both sick. All i have to say to that is get over it. True performers don't let a little "cold" affect them. Get over it and give the crowd what they paid for.
@ANava764 I can criticize bands that all sound the same is my point. These guys are better than most.. but they still do the same setup as most bands. No one can play a guitar solo anymore longer than 20 seconds. It's beyond ridiculous. My point is.. bands aren't as good musically as they used to be. I still think this screamer sucks and i have many that agree with me (even in studio version he's not good)
I thought this was entertaining as fuck. Which is usually the point of a performance,. They're not doing this for a standard, they're doing it because it's what they love. Honestly, I wish most bands would act more like this. I'm getting fucking sick of seeing the same synchronized headbanging and robotic movements. I like to see bands that can think, and in this situation rather, feel, for themselves.
you can tell they're having trouble performing. the backflip was a good cover, but look at the two of them before and after it. he drops his mic, and falls down like he was going to pass out or something. then he realizes oh shit, im in the middle of a show. lol so he gets up (elaboratly) and stumbles around trying to get his mic, and make up for the lines he missed.
Is it just me or is the bassist playing the 'Heat seeking ghost of sex ...' part wrong/differently in all the live videos I've seen so far? The notes on the album don't sound the same...
I hate when bands play shows fucked up. Like your fans came all the way out. Some from great distances and you can't respect them enough to preform at your absolute best to give them a great show. They buy your records and shirts and you do that. C'Mon man
Dude you are so fucking right! The worst part is that this is behavior that you normally expect from Johnny Craig! It really disappoints me to see John Mess do this type of shit.
lol, it's kinda nice to see Jonny have his act together... but Jon? Whaaa, from what ive seen he's usually on point. But they're both incredibly talented, their live performances could be stunning if they didnt do stupid crap on stage.
As much as I love Dance Gavin Dance and I love Jon Mess and how odd he is...I have to say...this was rather...sloppy and unprofessional and somewhat painful to watch. But hey, Jonny's singing was amazing.
They probably aren't sick. It's not really that hard to perform while sick if you prepare yourself and keep your technique strong. I think they simply don't warm up prior to shows, and that takes a toll as the show goes on. Plus, they're screaming. That's never good for your voice.
The screamer sucks. Plain and simple. Not to mention most rock now sounds the same "Fast Breakdown, Screaming, More Sound-the-same chords".. It's getting old.
People don’t understand how luck to have seen this song live
truest words i have read today
One of their best chorus ever written. I love the Kurt era but damn, Johnny is awesome even when he is totally high.
In case you didn't know, Jon and Jonny were both sick. Jon was having trouble breathing through his nose, that's why he couldn't scream so well.
who cares if he dropped it, he freakin did a nice little flip right there hahaha
while watching this it seems like jonny craig has his shit together compared to all of them and it doesnt feel right
Jon Mess is a mess here lol
im not gonna lie, these guys look like fun people to hang with
1:54 when the liq finally hits you
i love how jonny sings whatever he wants and sounds AWESOME
Jon Mess does a fucking handstand to get up ahahaha so awesome
They actually sound really good in this
Wait... was Jonny Craig screaming?
Man. 2011.. fucking awesome video and makes me giggle when I see Jon Mess do the handstand
I really don't give a shit about their behavior. They make great music in the studio. To me concerts are purely made so that I can enjoy them live and that means enjoying them fuck around and being drunk. Obviously people don't see it this way but, I love Jon and its fucking hilarious to see him drunk.
thanks for posting!
this vid is sick, thanks for the upload brofessor xavier
@TheReverend777 He only screamed for one album (Happiness). In the music video it shows him screaming because Jon Mess (current screamer) wasn't in the band at the time but he did the screaming for the album.
Jon always sounds fucking awesome.
Will spittin' HARD!
peak post hardcore. best chorus ever forreal
@TMVowns They never really move all that much, plus this was like their last song. It was a great show
pause at 0:35 - 0:36 haha the light shines on johnny like some kind of singing god :O
@bassman31793 i saw them live and they never did any of this. and i read the interview when they said they were both sick at this time..
1:50 You're welcome.
@xiBACON thanks dude. order didn't matter i just wanted to know the songs
Jonny with the suns hat 🔥🔥🔥
Jon Messs
I think they were all a little drunk lol.
Jon just does that
@bassman31793 I saw them at Warped multiple times and they were pretty much flawless accept on Robot w/ human hair the guitars got sloppy. You can't judge on one performance. Because they're amazing, they can act however the fuck they want just as you and I can. So until you show me that you can do better, you should rethink what you say
Two questions, who is the bass player ? And why does this concert seem so dead ? lol I know they were sick, but everyone else is just standing there.
thanks for uploading these. did they do any more from mt 2? maybe you could post their set list if you remember... thanks!
I honestly didn't catch where either of them dropped their mic.
I grimmed at the part that started at 1:05
Why was Jon not wearing shoes
I heart Jonny and Jon
2:04 Fucking epic ninja skills.
@RivalAssassin1 nah hes good, he was just sick for a few shows. his lyrics are fucking amazing and make dgd what dgd is
@Vampirexvalentine bassist is jordan mccoy
Jon was a mess
will was a swan
matt was a mingus
@bassman31793 he did a cool backflip though!
Was this the show that Johnny threw up?
+TheAZOsChannel yep
who is that guitarist?
Great song :D pretty cool live ^_^ but the crowd looks dead o.o
That's so silly of him haha. He dropped it playing around with Jonny and then did a backflip to get it, and it was gone. He was like WTFRAGE.
@thatdamnwetback The guitarist (Josh Benton) and the bassist (I forgot his name lol) are filling on for the tour. Benton is there for the forseeable future though, seeing as they only have one gutarist, while the bassist is filling in while Eric is going to school.

well theyre usually drunk like crazy and ive seen jonny throw up on stage and keep going so usually nothing stops them \
\
OO WTF??!!
2:02
@circaxmk No problem brotha! :D
@TrColeTrain They did Need money, swan soup, heat seeking, TRWHH Pt 2 1/2, pounce bounce, and SPOOKS! i don't remember the order though.
@SeanOCasey10 he was sick lol
i was going to say why was it so bad? but then the whole sick thing makes sense so i'm satisfied.
@NotxSoxConventionalx How come they don't have the original ? I thought they were doing the original line up again ?
unfortunate that one of the coolest parts of the song was replaced with gymnastics haha....hopefully jonny and jon aren't sick in Philly on March 28th
Jonny messing the lyrics up as usual. Not too bad this time but the second verse is “see the cracks in my skin” not “see the smoke in my eyes”
@atticus2u Josh Benton, I have no idea who the bassist is though.
Jon was either really drunk or he cannot scream for shot lol. Or mauve he was really tired? Idk?
drunk hot messes or wha? haha
@b4iFuRu15 rock and roll.
Hmm
I think Jon Mess was sick at this show. He tweeted about him needing antibiotics. Also, they just seem bummed, or bored. Can't really tell.
wait I thought the screamer was the chubby guitarist guy? Because he screams in the videos
Bobby Van Stone lmao 6 year old comment but thats will swan, he did unclean vocals on the album happiness but thats the only album thus far without jon mess on it
@imJOLLiEBEE that makes alot more sense. still gnarly though
@circaxmk Oh, it's definitely not Tony Marks. It looks nothing like him, Tony is a lot better then this guy, plays with a pick, and has a completely different bass tone. Eric is only going to be on warped tour because he has a full time job. He just records now.
Lmao! Jon Mess looks fucking crazy.
U sir don't see alot of punk rock shows then, im guessing.
why do they have a different bass player?
damn in the rap theres to much jon and now enough will
1:39..... arent the lyrics "I cant believe, i cant believe, that i, cant believe"...and he says "been deceived"
Jonny improvs a lot. I’m convinced even the album lyrics get kind of dropped and changed on the spot. He has the melody in his head but sometimes changes words here and there.

y is the guitarist's guitar strap so short? loll
1:56 o:
the other guitarist looks like brandon bolmer xD
turn your back cause im gonna be all up on you...if you criticize this band cause theyre sick

damn compared to how they usually are this is a really boring performance. they still kick ass though
@ANava764

Great but sad to see Jon Mess being a 'mess', yes pun intended. Sad kind of expected from Jonny, but not Jon. Overall great vocals as always Jonny!

sick unsigned band!!

You may not know this but Jonny puked during this show.
Jon Mess was sick throughout that tour, he was not at his best you dumb fuck.
puke

Wow, drugs.
Lots of drugs.
Probably should have taken less, eh Jon?
He's so waisted....
@tomforster2010 are you serious?
this was an atrocious performance
think this is the first time i can say jon mess ruined a song... and i hate that
As much as I love Dance Gavin Dance and I love Jon Mess and how odd he is...I have to say...this was rather...sloppy and unprofessional and somewhat painful to watch. But hey, Jonny's singing was amazing.

Jon mess is a terrible screamer. Always has been

@tomforster2010

(not being sarcastic)
