I wish I learned how to dress for the winter earlier. It regularly gets down to below 10°F + wind-chill and I used to wait for the bus either in a single hoodie or winter coat for ~20 mins both with cotton tee shirt underneath. I feel like base layers are a minimum in the winter like this
For winter conditions normal outdoor shoe (like hiking boot) is not enough. We would recommend you to have "tall" winter boots with separate inner layers you can take out and dry easier. In case you come to Adventure Apes tours you can rent this kind of boots from us.
Every Yooper watching this is thinking, "Yup, typical day in a February blizzard." But even us 2nd generation Finnish Americans are tougher than this - we only need our Stormy Kromers with the ear flaps down. 😉
I lived in Finland for four years and never dress like this ever even cold or snow storms jeans T-shirt a jacket and a hat that’s it maybe a sweatshirt at Max

wearing beanie, hood and coat that protects neck are musts. keeping hands in coat's pocket makes them warmer that wearing gloves.
The shoes and the exposed face look like the weak point in the system. Is it hard to keep feet warm?
Dressing like this in Nigeria is a suicide.

I don't understand if it's cold enough for a wool hate and a trapper...your mid layer is type flimsy

Is that a down or synthetic jacket? Does it matter?
They should be just as warm as each other, but down packs down to a more compact size
I dress like that in Massachusetts
