    That looks absolutely delicious, Sarah! If you struggle a little squeezing big lemons like I do you can use your potato ricer to make the job a little easier. I just tilt the ricer and put the halves in sideways. Have a great day.

    Thanks. Wonderful video, highly entertaining! I love watching a chef 'flirt' with the food they're making, laughing and praising it's appearance and flavor. When that happens, I know it's going to be a rewarding project for when I make the same recipe.

    I make this lemon trifle using Limoncello instead of sherry. Way more lemony!

    Why does it look so different after being in the fridge? Is it another one or something happens when you leave it to chill?

    • @lisaboban
      @lisaboban 7 років тому +2

      Maria Mort It's another one.

      I was going to say the same thing. It is a different one. It looks like it has a lot more lemon curd in it.

      magic fridge xD

    • @tammier7508

      Maria Mort Also the 2nd bowl has a thicker whipped cream. I wish they would show exactly the finished product. Other than that, it looks like a easy summer dessert.

      The finished one at the end looks like a lot more time was taken to assemble it more neatly in the bowl.

    If you don't want to use alcohol can you soak the lady fingers in milk? Or can you replace the lady fingers with pound cake? Can you add some berries in between the layers?

    • @SquidandCatAdventures
      @SquidandCatAdventures 11 місяців тому

      I don't think soaking them in milk would be good since you have layers of lemon curd. How about just juice or a fruity syrup?

    That looks so amazing! Can kids eat lemon trifle with spirit in the recipe?

    • @mermaidatlantica
      @mermaidatlantica 7 років тому +1

      Leave the spirits out of the trifle if youre giving it to kids. You could soak the fingers in a simple syrup or a lemonade if you liked instead.

    You know, I here immediately after watching a 2012 video of yours... It seemed like you were having way more fun back then than you do now; like someone told you to simmer down. And it's not the first time I've noticed this (as I binge back-n-forth through your videos, if not the actual food).
    I really hope it's just some natural settling-down over time - more slow-cook, less flambe, that sort of thing - and not because you HAD to. So, if you - or them folk - needed to be told this, we ALL love bananas foster as much as boeuf bourguignon... maybe a little more :) #ABP #________ness #freshiosity #waftable #anycheese #maybeevenlimburger #whippedcream #nogarlicpowder #flaminghair #whitetees #weloveyousarah

      Butter sold in the U.S. has Tablespoon markings on the wrapper of each stick. 1T. = 15ml Hope this helps. :)

      A tablespoon is 15g so 150g of butter
