Great video, thank you. Love all the dresses and the men looking casual , comfy but smart. So different from all the baggy sweat clothes and leggings with out skirts or dresses I see in the USA. I understand being comfortable but not sloppy and a mess.

Go to the Upper East Side of Manhattan and you'll see well dressed Americans. Very similarly in fact. Affluence helps.

Anywhere affluent in the US is the same. Maybe better. I live near a mountain resort and the ladies wear gorgeous maxi dresses in the summer. I think the real point you're making is that non-affluent people used to dress up.

Never wear anything tight-fitting or short or low-cut. As long as you wear loose-fitting, solid-color clothing and expensive sunglasses, you have the look!
No-name clothing or handbags? No problem. No name flats, kitten heels, trainers, boots, or flip-flops? No shoe rules whatsoever. As long as your clothes and accessories are clean, solid-color (or nontrendy prints), and in good condition, no problem.
It doesn’t matter where you bought them, how old they are, or what they cost. Loose and unidentifiable is the key.
If you carry a cane or umbrella, it should be of obvious quality. Other than that, simply walk with confidence and no hurry-and wear expensive sunglasses. (I bet many of the sunglasses here are prescription sunglasses.) 🤎😂🥰

first couple at 0.18 look fabulous 🎉
I loved seeing the two gentlemen in one of the antigue cars...the passenger had on an American Stetson "City" hat...this model is made in felt only usually is a fawn or dove grey and has not changed for generations. It is noted for its Western small brim much narrower than a typical Stetson.
I am a native Texan,,female....this model of Stetsons are worn by men only. I am 75 and in the 50s my grandfather wore one in Houston.
My family lIved in Houston, in Texas ranch country near Brenham, Texas and in Farnham, Surrey UK. An odd mixture I know, but nonetheless, a certain quirkiness brings a smile to most people's faces ...like that unexpected Stetson.

As a British person and Londoner originally, I found Old Money is easily distinguished in this film.. Shorts and t-shirts, a no- no for Old Money in smart London. The mostly, but not exclusively, older generation, always dressed elegantly, some formally and most of all, appropriately. Men have classic British jackets, summer linen suits, trousers, from their tailor, or traditional established Gentleman's outfitters. Many of the garments are years old, so well made they last.. ties in most cases here for the older men. So altogether a look both classic, timeless, not remotely ostentatious. Absolutely *never* wearing shorts in Town.. in well heeled Bond Street, Mayfair, Knightsbridge, South Kensinton, Chelsea! Shorts would be for France or Italy at their villa, a holiday, yachting, maybe..
Mature women with elegant well maintained hairstyles, expensive Italian or French clothes and shoes, British cashmere, linen, whether formal or smartly casual.. quality jewellery, classic, discreet very expensive handbags. Younger women, again, no messy hair.. good cuts. Summer dresses, chic jeans & well-cut jackets, with trainers or sandals here, for running around London, shopping, lunching, Good bags..
The more mature couples do not generally walk around holding hands. Some were though.. the more casual people.. General atmosphere as seen here, is of not necessarily working to earn money.. not flashy, its leisure, shopping, lunching in the best / traditional or fashionable places, meeting friends, gardens, country houses, dogs etc
Oh, and the first 3 or 4 couples walking and looking around them were tourists! Not old money. Great film!

when i was in london as a tourist standing outside buckingham palace, i saw an older couple get out of a little black cab, she was wearing a gorgeous fitted black flair coat knee length, with tight black legging pants ,short black high heel boots and beautiful silver blown out hair, he was super elegantly wearing a black wool suit....they walked straight into the palace, i dreamed that they must have been the queens friends!

Medium to long hair on the women. No tattoos and piercings. Imagine what the next generation is going to look like at this age! No overweight people. Body at any size?
There were some overweight people there and still looking amazing. Some men were overweight and still look put together and fabulous. At a certain age, sometimes it is difficult to lose weight. That does not mean not caring about looking elegant.

They look great. Have to say I walk around like an Elvis impersonator here in FL in 90% temps because I HAVE TO hide my arms. Find it so difficult to find the right blouse/jacket/top with long or 3/4 length sleeves which aren't too heavy to cover them. Has to be the right look and price point, and for the last two years I have not been able to find the right one. So, I'm baking or wearing one of two 3/4 length sleeve black tops looking for the right sleeve and body length. However, I'm always ready for a funeral in all weathers! Still looking! Love what they are wearing. I loved living in London and wish I had never left.

Love the stylish older women you highlighted. They are beautiful, but I seriously doubt old money is out walking the streets. They have chauffeurs and get curb service. These people look like middle income to upper middle income individuals and tourists.
I visited London and the only colors I saw people wearing were black, grey and brown. I’m from the US. I looked very different..actual colors in my clothing. My Brother lives there and he wears black. I love the outfits but don’t remember seeing anything like this when I was there.
So true....this is a cherry picked selection of pedestrians who have dared to carry colour.
