What an erudite former anglican scholar to be received into the One Holy Orthodox Church! I admire Fr. Dr. Andrew, his wisdom crushes historical revisionism! He brings the Traditional Roman/Anglo Catholic and Byzantine Orthodox patrimony into reconciliation and unity. This is man is good for the Church, the theology of the latin, byzantine and alexandrian harmonize as it was in the beginning! May we see more scholarship like this in the future.

The life and teaching of Saint Thomas Aquinas could be summed up in an episode passed down by his ancient biographers.
While, as was his wont, the Saint was praying before the Crucifix in the early morning in the chapel of Saint Nicholas in Naples, Domenico da Caserta, the church sacristan, overheard a conversation.
Thomas was anxiously asking whether what he had written on the mysteries of the Christian faith was correct.
And the Crucified One answered him: "You have spoken well of Me, Thomas. What is your reward to be?".
And the answer Thomas gave Him was what we too, friends and disciples of Jesus, always want to tell Him: "Nothing but Yourself, Lord!"

A great man, whom I was privileged to sit next to, prior to his taking his place on the lecture / discussion stage, in Cambridge.

The fullest expression of a hierarchy requires that at all levels of being there is an ascending hierarchy with a head at the top. That’s the real answer to the schism. We can’t reject hierarchy when it’s inconvenient.

You are far too knowledgeable and cerebral for me to readily comprehend everything regarding your lecture on Aquinas and his whole approach on Christology and theology. In other words l need to hear this more than once and with a ton of resources. Father Louth it appears you excavate patristic theology much deeper than my measly comprehension can bare. I can't wait to order your book on Orthodoxy; afterwards in time l can hopefully better comprehend your brilliant lectures.
