Great video!!! Supermarket flying very cool idea... i love the BeeBrain, just want SBUS on that and longer battery life and the tiny whoop would be perfect...
And yet another awesome vlog. Evan was just telling me you told him about the whoop being in pieces and 20 seconds later I see it in your video. LMBO. Keep em coming Drew.
Just got a eachine E010 for Christmas and I'm still getting use to flying it. But still have the garbage transmitter, I need to upgrade it and get more batteries then it'll be on to whooping! I'm loving the whoop videos.
thanks! yeah the eachine transmitter is the biggest drawback. A good feeling transmitter makes such a big difference. I'm not sure what you can bind the the stock e010 board though...
Dan Grealish they sell a board on amazon that can bind to frsky or spektrum for the eachine :) pretty cheap too and runs on beta flight think its like 26 dollars.
I think you should try another brushed micro like the qx90 or cheerson cx117. They both have loads more power and run beta flight but the only downside is that they don't have prop guards
thanks to you I got into the tiny whoop you've been an awesome help is there a way you can make a video where you set up the beebrain flight controller?
What!?!?! I didn't know you were from Michigan or my area. Excel RC is an awesome store and i hate that i drive by it on my way home from work everyday, makes it very convincing to by new parts lol
actually in this video I was just using the Bee Brain stock PIDs. Only tuned the rates. I've been playing (after a rebuild 😉) and this is where they are now: R: 45 40 18 P: 50 40 18 Y: 165 45
So it seems that your friend Jeff flies futaba radio system in his quads. I have a friend who is just getting parts together to build his first fpv quad and is dead set on using his futaba. My question if you don't mind, could you find out from Jeff what is the go to rx for his futaba system. Thanks
Jeff here, I use the R6303SB and I take it out of the case, depin it, and heatshrink it. Frsky also makes Futaba compatible rxs that are cheaper and Futaba is working on a new quad specific rx.
Have you guys seen the pokefpv I wanna see if building one like yours or a upgraded one like the poke is best. Plus I'm still really new and if someone does know about that pokefpv can you bind it with a turnigy evolution?
You should consider switching your tiny whoop antennas to dipole rather than circular polarized. It is lighter, immensely tougher, and you get better indoor signal penetration. Even if it didn't give better picture (which it does lol) and even if it wasn't lighter (which it is), never having to bend back an antenna lobe or resolder a broken one is totally worth it!
Thanks for the recommendation Haiku! A few people have said similar things, so yeah I just ordered these: a.co/aQiFzVB 4 antennas for $8 not bad I think
Salty Pinions I made my own! I just cut up an old SMA pigtail I had laying around and pulled the shielding off. The inner core is the transmission wire. The length you cut it is absolutely critical... I made mine half wavelength, which is 25.86mm, but you can also do quarter wavelength which is 12.93mm. This is what mine looked like before I put heat shrink over it tinyurl.com/hjgh9xp
Are your rates more low or high? As I’m working on flying any drone any tune but would make life easier when doing commercial work if I knew higher or lower rates to smoothen inputs
Hi I'm having some problems getting my beebrain working I seem to be connected to my remote when I'm in beta flight everything responds like its working but the only time I can get motors to come on is with a battery when I'm hook to computer. I have the dx6i remote I know it's connected the red light on beebrain is solid but I can't get anything to move . I also installed the p2 power connector so now I'm wondering if I got something to hot I'm just not sure its so frustrating I just want to whoop any help would be appreciated I really new to this and haven't been able to find any helpful info
I actually 3D printed it myself. I'm not sure of anywhere that sell 3D printed versions, but TinyWhoop.com has carbon fiber ones: www.tinywhoop.com/collections/accessories/products/carbon-fiber-frame-stiffener-brace?variant=28257246977 I actually kinda want to switch to the carbon, I imagine its lighter
STRYKA I think we are all learning with the smaller quads. They are very squirly and don't have enough power recovery after acro. I just received some HV batteries hoping they will help. I need to figure out how to configure my charger to charge 1s or more without a balance cable and check the max level. Ugh!
Le Drib Thank you for replying. I'm learning even with Tiny Whoop HV batteries I'm still not getting the power I need for loops. I'm getting some speed though for gaps.
highly recommend it. BTW the 3.8v batteries seem just about the same as the others, not noticing much of a difference. I actually just cut off the old connector because its terrible quality, put a better quality Micro JST (stock battery connector) and also a JST-PH ('powerwhoop' battery connector) in parallel, so I can use either type of battery (I have 20+ batteries for this thing). I have the inductrix fpv and just tuck the other connector up under the back of the frame when not using it. works well. Also highly recommend you use a drop of 4 in 1 or other oil every hr or so of flight time.. what a freaking difference! If only there were a way to keep hair, grass, other crap out of where the prop meets the motor shaft.. Have never tried a powerloop with this thing, but now I'm going to have to try
It's more like a type. People use the term Tiny Whoop to refer to small fpv drones with ducted blades. The most common builds are based around the Blade Inductrix (ready-to-fly drone) as a platform. Check out TinyWhoop.com and let me know if you have other questions :)
sick! finally got the beebrain! now you need to go under between your legs and powerloop yourself like I did 😃 another think you should consider the ready made RC frame brace lightest one on the market also with the least amount on flat surface so you don't lose prop was thust.. love you vids buddy!!! keep em coming!!!
Le Drib if you pull it off I will give you one of my custom tiny whoop carbon motor pod stiffners. 😎 also if you want a frame that is practically indistructable get the black eachine one you can slam it in concrete lol no joke! you rock bro farmer
Yup! Keeps it nice and light. You do have to buy a board that is compatible with which ever tx you use. They have a Spektrum version and an FrSky version goo.gl/zxPtKV
yes for your Turnigy 9X, you would need a module. Get a DSMX module, then you can connect to BeeBrain boards (Spektrum version), as well as other Horizon Hobby stuff
Air1-Air2- Car3- Car24: "We have a suspicious male in aisle 5 wearing some sort of electronic device on his head with unknown intent please proceed with CAUTION". ROFLMFAO... OMG dude that is 2 funny!
I m having a issue with my makerfire f3 using a external receiver fr rx a2 pro and have new motors on beta all 4 spool up fine but with the radio number 3 is slower and if I hold the right hand stick all the way left no mater what I do with throttle the motors won’t do anything till I left off the right stick anyone got any idea what the hell is going on with it lol
Cool vid, yeah I purchased the BeeBrain also but eventually went back to the original controller as it just doesn't feel right. I noticed you are having the same issue I had where recovery is crap. I think its the main reason you are having issues doing loops. I don't know if its the controller speed or motor size, battery etc.....but it just does not have enough power to recover from simple maneuvers, unless you are really high up. I have the fast motors and HV batteries and still just horrible recovery. I think maybe an F3 version might be better but time will tell.
You don't have to... most of the cam/vtx combos come with a little y-harness to make it plug and play, but you'll improve performance if you cut off the connector to the cam/vtx and direct solder it. That's what I do
hah... just watched this one again. I think I found VORT3X first "We're vlogging son..." quote at 3:43 He's come so far... but that clip needs to be re-purposed
Hey, unfortunately I don't believe there are any micro boards that are compatible with Radiolink. Each brand of transmitters/recievers use different communication protocol. I looked up radio link and found that they call theirs DSSS. Most micro control boards are designed for Spektrum's protocol DSMX (or sometimes the legacy DSM2). There are also an emerging number of boards made for use with FrSky's ACCST. FrSky radios are probably the most popular option for FPV pilots right now although I prefer and use Spektrum. If you can, get an FrSky or Spektrum radio. Not only will you be able to get a whoop going, you'll have a much easier time making things work on larger quads too.
Has anyone ever told you. You kinda look like Billy Zane when you vlog? Keep up the vids. Oh my 3d printer will be here today!. Then its assembly time. Tweak and test. Get it printing decent. Make some needed replacement parts. Then a drone!
In this video I was actually flying with the stock PIDs. I just finished the rebuild last night and started playing with them though. Right now, I'm at R: 45 40 18 P: 50 40 18 Y: 165 45
Idea, next have one of your guys in the shopping cart and be pushed along the store! Its like a miniature version of the drive n' fly haha.
damn it why didn't I think of that! brilliant haha
This was actually one of the sickest videos ever, in the department store specifically. So sick. Thank you for what you do.
Great video!!! Supermarket flying very cool idea... i love the BeeBrain, just want SBUS on that and longer battery life and the tiny whoop would be perfect...
yup the battery life is the biggest drawback. The next upgrade I'm looking to try is the HV batteries
Ha!....Jeff is so blistered lmao! Good times! WalMarks!
And yet another awesome vlog. Evan was just telling me you told him about the whoop being in pieces and 20 seconds later I see it in your video. LMBO. Keep em coming Drew.
haha thanks Geoff! It was good seeing Even at the shop yesterday :)
So sick. What a place to fly. Thanks
Whoa! Power loop that cart! OMG OMG! Sweet!!
Haha thanks! Wish I had gotten a totally contact free one but oh well
I think I will go try some power loops at the playground tomorrow... it's got some interesting bars a little higher up :)
I've looked into the Walkera Devo 7e with a beta software they have, but I've heard mixed opinions on that transmitter.
Wayyyyy underrated video!!! Sick course great idea
thank you for the info just bought a beebrain flight controller your awesome drew
thanks to you I got into the tiny whoop you've been an awesome help is there a way you can make a video where you set up the beebrain flight controller?
The new v2 rocks a true butter whoop
Awesome vid, can't wait to get one bound to my turnigy evo.
a little buzzed towards the end lol good flying man
i just set my whoop with your pids and she flys amazing. i may need to increase the rate a little. what's your rate? also two blade props or four??
Very entertaining video, lucky to have a shop nearby, to repair ...greetings from spain
Hola Frank, thanks for watching
And yeah its really convenient having Excel in the area. I hope drone shops continue to become more common
What!?!?! I didn't know you were from Michigan or my area. Excel RC is an awesome store and i hate that i drive by it on my way home from work everyday, makes it very convincing to by new parts lol
What song is being used in the department store. I love it. Thanks so much for all the helpful info. Loving this channel!
"Isn't it Lovely" by Karamel Kel
I'll add the song names to the description :)
Thanks!
great build
Excel is AWESOME! We buy our stuff from there.
can you post a list for the whole setup
Agnes, copter down aisle 5! If I did that in New York I'd be in Guantanamo by morning.
Finally, i know where one of these videos is made. Excel Drones in Garden City right!?
hell yeahh :)
I just got a Beebrain board. Can you do a video on setup and settings. Right now its a fail, and I am a newbie to this hobby.
1:40 That Is A Lego Set For MEN
Whoa, what pids/rates are you using? That looks super locked in. Great whoopin
actually in this video I was just using the Bee Brain stock PIDs. Only tuned the rates.
I've been playing (after a rebuild 😉) and this is where they are now:
R: 45 40 18
P: 50 40 18
Y: 165 45
Damn nice. I need to upgrade mines !
do eeeeeet

Dude ur flyin is onpoint
Thanks Jason :)
Thats a good Whoopin!
Tiny Whoop the bar!!!
I did get to Whoop around another bar a bit on New Year's Eve: ua-cam.com/video/WqH6du7vSp8/v-deo.html
Pretty tame though
3:14 tiny whoop power loop :D
i use the beebrain and the front right motor is spinning the wrong way. do you know why it does that? and is there a way to fix it?
The Notification didn't turn on :O but now im gonna watch ^^
:) thank you
Only a few years late on this one, rainy day today...time to go fly at my local target Haha
You should consider switching your tiny whoop antennas to dipole rather than circular polarized. It is lighter, immensely tougher, and you get better indoor signal penetration. Le Drib wow Drew that's a great price! Good luck and happy flying!
yup I'm using the stinger antenna and it works great
Awesome Video! Great footage. What video editing program do you use?
Premier Pro

i mean, that fog is like "normal day fog" here in north Italy... i'll share a photo of a really foggy day if you want xD
Can I bind one of these with a frsky?
where do you get the little purple thing at the bottom that keeps the motors aligned after a crash? I need that :O~
I actually 3D printed it myself. I'm not sure of anywhere that sell 3D printed versions, but TinyWhoop.com has carbon fiber ones: www.tinywhoop.com/collections/accessories/products/carbon-fiber-frame-stiffener-brace?variant=28257246977

where is that hobby shop? Is that in MI
how do you get the bee brain to fly longer than a freakin minute
yo drib any good pid tuning for the beebrain whoop?
what Printer do u Use ?
Do u have a link ?
Power loops require power :) Maybe the HV battery will help.
is he using the power whoop connector with a thicker cable? that will help a lot too
STRYKA I think we are all learning with the smaller quads. They are very squirly and don't have enough power recovery after acro. I just received some HV batteries hoping they will help. I need to figure out how to configure my charger to charge 1s or more without a balance cable and check the max level. Ugh!
I'm still using batteries with the stock-style connector. Looking to upgrade to Power Whoop and HV soon
Le Drib Thank you for replying. I'm learning even with Tiny Whoop HV batteries I'm still not getting the power I need for loops. I'm getting some speed though for gaps.

Great episode. I have no idea how you didn't get kicked out of the store...
One of the workers came by to see what we were doing. After a ride-along he just said thats sweet and be careful haha
Probably asked to fly there first, it's not that hard.
is tiny whoop a brand or a type of drone?
It's more like a type. People use the term Tiny Whoop to refer to small fpv drones with ducted blades. The most common builds are based around the Blade Inductrix (ready-to-fly drone) as a platform.

a self-power loop damn thats sick. Challenge accepted 😈
Le Drib if you pull it off I will give you one of my custom tiny whoop carbon motor pod stiffners. 😎 also if you want a frame that is practically indistructable get the black eachine one you can slam it in concrete lol no joke!
you rock bro
farmer
Le Drib actually ill give you one of my custom CNC carbon motor pod stiffners just for trying lol
you make your own? Cool!
I'd be happy to try one of yours if you want me to :)
RADNESS !!!!
does the beebrain has a reciever integrated?
Yup! Keeps it nice and light.
You do have to buy a board that is compatible with which ever tx you use. They have a Spektrum version and an FrSky version
goo.gl/zxPtKV
Le Drib So I will not be able to use my 9x. unless I put some module in IT?
yes for your Turnigy 9X, you would need a module. Get a DSMX module, then you can connect to BeeBrain boards (Spektrum version), as well as other Horizon Hobby stuff
Acro or horizon mode?
acro :D
What battery sticks are you running?
I use Excel's batteries: goo.gl/xdbgLs

hahaha nice
It was worth the damage. Build, fly, crash, repair, and repeat. It's the quad circle of life.
yup!

Darn I was hoping HV lipos would help a lot! Was going to switch to those soon... probably still will 👍🏻
whats the frame stiffener you used?
I'd like to know too!
Its one I found on thingiverse and printed myself
www.thingiverse.com/thing:1642087
bro what's the name of the song at 5:40 ? I went through every track on Karamel Kel's soundcloud, didn't find it =/
Its called "Isn't it Lovely"
Really like that track, I'll probably cheat and use it again in a future video lol
Did you have to solder
You don't have to... most of the cam/vtx combos come with a little y-harness to make it plug and play, but you'll improve performance if you cut off the connector to the cam/vtx and direct solder it. That's what I do
Le Drib ok ghanks
It's a shame the whoops don't really have the power to recover from going inverted. I'm still waiting for someone to go 2s or brushless on a whoop.
I keep toying with different ideas. The problem is keeping things light enough that you can bounce off the walls
hey do you paint your eyes they just look too black on the sides
Etro guyliner 😂
Hey pets would love a bee brain ...
Where is Excel at?
It's in Garden City, MI
Tiny Whoop in a cave video?
hah... just watched this one again. I think I found VORT3X first "We're vlogging son..." quote at 3:43
He's come so far... but that clip needs to be re-purposed
I need one
Yeahhh it's fun :D
hi there, you seem to know your shit.. is there any solution to "whoop" with a Radiolink AT9 transmitter? ty
Le Drib dang it.. thanks for the quick response though
Of course Beebrain would be butter when I bought a BetaFPV FC because they wewre sold out in this universe. Hey it works so nyeah nyeah.
Oooo whoopin in WalMart. Nice.
post those tasty rates
Seconded. What's the tune looking like?
Feedback = subs :-)
When you watch an old drip vlog and you’re like ERMADEGERDHHDG ITS NORMAL BROWN HAIR
😂
epic bro ! liked and subed!
Who is Fin?
means finish lol. I don't know if your being serious or not but yeah. It's Spanish or Italian for "The End or Finish" for anyone who wants to know
...or French... ;)
you need upgrade your pigtail to your battery night and day
Has anyone ever told you. You kinda look like Billy Zane when you vlog? Keep up the vids. Oh my 3d printer will be here today!.
Then its assembly time. Tweak and test. Get it printing decent. Make some needed replacement parts. Then a drone!
gfreat store flying......

got the V2 yet?
share your pids please. Im using steels and they suck
Tim Simons That's probbably because you have other motors or other weight, then the PIDs suck, they are just for one EXACT aircraft
Bee brain PID's?
In this video I was actually flying with the stock PIDs. I just finished the rebuild last night and started playing with them though. Right now, I'm at
R: 45 40 18
P: 50 40 18

Le Drib thanks!
+Le Drib you should give Mr Steele's whoop pids a try
that like ratio though
Oh dear... 😂
