    That’s great!
    I understand professional profits.
    50 percent. Is doable, but in today’s economy your lucky to hit one or two. Maybe all day long in a very rich high income area. But it all depends on your location and how you sell it in today’s market economy.
    Especially now with so many unlicensed people who will do the same thing on pennies on the dollar. Homeowners don’t care now unless they think they are getting a good deal.
    People don’t understand how much everything cost! Now that all materials have gone up the roof.

      I agree! Keep in mind that I am in the 2nd poorest state in America. I think population of the city you operate in can make a large impact at times. The trick is learning systems on how to find the clients who can pay your services.. that’s the one thing I really enjoy showing people how to do because it makes a massive impact

    The 50% margin is 100% so your just doubling your costs

    • @LandscapersAcademy
      @LandscapersAcademy  2 місяці тому

      Correct. I find most people don’t factor in daily/monthly costs too such as insurance, gas, and other things. Hope this helps

    What is your overhead recovery method? I also have a couple larger pieces of equipment and some trucks. How do you pass along those costs? Thanks.

    • @LandscapersAcademy
      @LandscapersAcademy  Рік тому

      Hey Brett! I may need more clarification but I would factor in the cost of maintaining and paying for these trucks and equipment (if you have loans on them) to find a monthly cost. Then break down that number into a weekday costs (diving monthly cost by 21 average week days). Factor these costs into your bid as expenses based on how many days you anticipate being involved with a certain project. Aim on the safe side for yourself in case things take longer. I try to build a business that's so profitable, I'm not stressed on overhead if things take longer. Hoping this helps, if I can help more, message me on Instagram and we should jump on a quick call.

    For someone like me starting out, what if a client just wanted to add spring flower? For example if my d.o.c is 300 flowers cost 80 plus 80 for me. Is it still right to charge client 460?

    • @LandscapersAcademy
      @LandscapersAcademy  Рік тому

      Yes but base your profit margins on how badly you need the work. If you’re just starting out And need the work then I would price things a little less just to add more security into the bid

    How about taxes, would those factors into profits or are the profits in this video after they’re paid?

    • @LandscapersAcademy
      @LandscapersAcademy  2 місяці тому +1

      Now this is a good question. Sales taxes come after this on top of the final amount and income taxes get taken out of the earnings these number get you. You can figure in income taxes into the price to profit even more but then prices may start to be too high (example: a $100 job of $50 in profit and $50 in costs, turns into a $125 job if you factor in income taxes) (that’s significantly more).

    • @ishaqkhodor1388
      @ishaqkhodor1388 2 місяці тому

      So would factoring in income tax basically make us break even since we won’t have to pay out of our profits? And It’s just risky since it can up the price?

    • @LandscapersAcademy
      @LandscapersAcademy  2 місяці тому +1

      Most of the time income tax is not factored into pricing because there’s many many variables that affect the rate and amount at which you are taxed. I always recommend to find a great accountant to help
