This has been such a wonderful learning experience. Tried watching a lot of other ableton live tutorials before but yours is in my opinion, the best. Cheers!

I don't know if it's your accent or your gentle speaking tone but something about your tutorial videos are just such a pleasant experience to listen to and learn from. I love that you capped this off with a Roses live performance too, sounds great!

Just got Ableton Live a few days ago and I've been following these videos. I got such an itch to produce my own future funk and I am so glad this was the first series of tutorials I have found. This is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen for ANY discipline. Thomas breaks down everything so nicely and I can't help but toy around now that I know how these features and tools work.
I'll be following all the subsequent tutorials and I'm sure I'll be able to make my own songs soon enough! Thanks so much, Thomas!

I’ve been using FL studio since about 2015, 2016 and I’ve just made the switch to ableton and this tutorial playlist is literally saving my life. Thank you for this. You’re a great teacher

I feel you. It is a big difference between the two. I felt Ableton being a real maze when I first used it. And yeah this teacher explains ableton real good.

Great tutorial, thank you for sharing and helping people like me that have songs that need to be recorded but can't afford musicians and studio professionals to record them. You are a great teacher that knows the subject. 👏👏👏

Another excellent tutorial. Unfortunately the Intro version of Abelton does not have several of the add-ins/instruments demonstrated (which then leads to different UI) so its sometimes hard to follow exactly what is going on.

I do have a question - I have a number of virtual Korg synths, but I don't seem to be able to import them onto my Windows computer. I have an old Mac, and I was able to import them onto that. Is this a limitation, or can you offer some help as to how this is done?

    Hi Thomas,
For the life of me I cannot copy the notes and move up one row every time I try it just move the notes without making copy
what am I missing? How do you do that. I might have an idea why it does not work, it looks like my version of Ableton 11 Live ( Intro ) is missing few features.
    Thanks
    Farid

hold ctrl while dragging the notes. release the mouse button while still holding on to ctrl. once the notes have been copied, release ctrl and voila

Jesus Christ is Lord. Everyone dies but Christ died and rose again so that those that turn to Him can receive the free gift of everlasting life. Only through him can he forgive our sins so that we can be made acceptable to God the Father. Jesus said I am the Way the Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father but through me

I just wanted to say these are really excellent tutorials. I'm a classical musician who's always been interested in electronic music and producing my own material. I've not really made the time to do it, but this is going to fast track in a big way. After the first tutorial I was able to produce my first drum track, and you break down these concepts so well it's just brilliant. Thank you for all of this help.
