We were just there last week visiting from London. We were all looking out for you but sadly you weren’t there. Just wanted to say thanks for all of your excellent videos. We have been planning our California holiday for 3 years now (for obvious reasons)and your enlightening insight into everything USA has been a huge influence on our trip. Keep up the great work Chris, you’re making a difference.
I'm glad to see that a lot of people were visiting Pier 39 that day but also not be too crowded. I remember when I went in April 2018 that the sea lions were on the rafts closest to the pier. Although Pier 39 is very touristy, it is at least worth visiting to see the sea lions!
I was in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago for two days of art museum visits. There were lots of tourists in Golden Gate Park and Union Square area. The city was crowded. I didn't go to Pier 39, but I assume it was crowded as well. San Francisco in April is different than San Francisco in July.
Been there several times. Great place to hang out first thing in the morning before all the people converge lol. My favorite is to get some food to go at a place there that is open early and go sit by the seals and just enjoy breakfast and coffee with them before the crowds show up.
Great America in Gurnee, Illinois has a giant two story carousel. Pier 39 looks fun. A lot of times when I'm a tourist I like being in such areas geared for other people on vacation mode rather than always being mixed in with the locals in a rush to get to work.

Great video's of you Chris! We'll traveling this September to the west coast of America. Beginning at Seattle at ending in LA. So a lot of your videos is helpful for us from the Netherlands.
Great walk! Thanks. I've seen tons of 2 story carousels in places. 2 come to mind right away, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL and Independence Center Mall in Independence, MO...unless you meant just on piers.
I went to visit a friend in Livermore about 15 years ago and she took me to Pier 39 and we ate at Bubba Gumps, l didn't notice it in your video. A note l ate at Bubba Gumps in Las Vegas and Vegas was alot better for some reason
there is a two story carousel at Great America amusement park in Santa Clara. I would love to see a playlist with all the San Francisco videos. Love your work!

New subscriber here, found you in a SF search and I have to compliment you on such great work. I really enjoyed your Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 videos and will definitely be looking at where else you have traveled! Your narration is very informative and you really give the viewer a feeling of being right there! I just heard you ask about a 2 story carousel...we had one in my local shopping mall in Woodland Hills, Ca (LA suburbs) for probably 15 years but was removed during the covid shutdown🙁
We are only going to be in SF for less than a day on our way North, but we have really enjoyed your videos. I can't believe that's all from a Samsung phone. Looks great. Really appreciate you making these videos, because with the crime issues there, my anxiety over going has been pretty high. Watching and following in your footsteps has helped.
Hey Chris, I noticed you ignored The Flyer which is where I work at actually! It's the place next to Aquarium of the Bay on the top level. It's a flying theater motion simulator where you fly with Seymour the Seagull around San Francisco (and some of Marin). We also have two Escape Rooms! Btw, we are connected to 7D and 7D is NOT VIRTUAL REALITY. It's a 3d shooting motion simulator ride. No HEADSETS! If you plan on coming back to San Francisco anytime til June/July, I'd LOVE for you to come by and try our attractions! I'd comp you of course!😀LMK when you're coming up! BTW, that closed place next to Mirror Maze is now a taco place called Taco Cantina! It's REALLY GOOD! It's my new lunch place! The Carne Asada is fabulous and the Carnitas are stellar!
Chris, I always pick up a magnet from a special area of travel. However, My requirements are the same as yours…must have the name of the area on the magnet. Our refrigerator is covered! I never thought I would be one of those people, yet alas, I am! 😊

Eagle Cafe, front left upstairs, nice comfort food diner, not too busy LIDZ, great place to pick up local sports merch (now with less Raiders gear taking up space lol!) GO NINERS!! Hard Rock Cafe, yes it's a tourist trap but cocktails are reliable and nice, and it's always cool to check out their memorabilia!
