    The perception of time passing is relative to what you’re doing. If you enjoy riding an EUC, time flies in the blink of an eye, and by the time you reach your destination, you wish it had taken longer.

    i think putting your gear on should be included in the timer lol. at least for me. l also have a V12 and It takes me like 5-10 minutes to get fully geared up. Putting on my backpack, shinpads, riding jacket, helmet, and all my accessories takes time. whereas in a car I can just get in. Then when I get to my destination I have to take it all off. I still prefer my wheel 100% of the time though
    Also, I started off on my wheel just like you. Just to commute and no crazy things. But next thing I know I'm doing jumps, hitting 40+ mph, and leading some group rides. Riding a wheel is addicting!

      On the other hand, driving can take longer when you add time for parking. At my last job it was always quicker to ride because there was no parking near my work so it took 10-15 minutes to find a spot, then walk the rest of the way. For some people EUC won't work as a commute option, but when it does, driving feels very slow and frustrating.

    Awesome video, well edited, I actually watched the whole thing :)
    I think EUCs mostly beat cars by not needing parking at either end, if you ride responsibly. In dense traffic they do very well if bikelanes exist since you can zip up the side. You can filter, but that's sketchier from a legal and safety perspective.
    You could beat cars in dense traffic by filtering, aggressively switching from road to sidewalk/bikepath and back, etc, but that generally increases the risk of riding one. I kinda disapprove of using sidewalks with EUC since they are faster than is really appropriate for it... but some roads suck, some sidewalks are particularly empty, etc. I would avoid it if the sidewalk is busy with actual pedestrians.
    Any legal issues for you? I was riding in Melbourne, Australia, but got warned off by some cops and I've stopped using it for day to day things since 😭

    • @brianlucero4
      @brianlucero4  2 місяці тому +1

      Honestly. It’s kind of like the Wild West out here. Cops are too busy focusing on all the other crime out here. lol.

    • @jimmux_v0
      @jimmux_v0 Місяць тому +1

      Sorry to hear the cops put you off daily rides, Jordan. After commuting for a while I knew their favourite spots to patrol so it wasn't too hard to avoid them. I hope they relax in Melbourne now that the hire scooters are going, and you can get back out there.

      @@jimmux_v0 Would be ideal.. Not too keen on risking 1k+ fine though :/. Cops are pretty rarely seen all told, but the penalty is severe.

    Time to get a begode et max or the commander gt pro, either one is a monster commuter wheel that will have you passing cars in 40 mph streets.
    Also commuting in a wheel takes way way longer due to the fact that it is so much fun and you end up taking the longest way and continue on 'just one more ride' once you get to the destination 😅

    • @ggoraa
      @ggoraa Місяць тому

      GT Pro is a fucking fridge that happens to go 100 km/h, with shit suspension that will break after long amounts of use, and the ET Max, although a good wheel in terms of power delivery / design / suspension (I mean that shit can go 120 km/h, sheesh), it’s still heavy as FUCK, I would rather get myself smth like a KingSong S16 Pro (combined road/sidewalk) / Begode Falcon (mostly sidewalk) / Begode Blitz (mostly road)

  • @leetNightshade

    Btw it is common practice to list all your gear in your video description, that way you don't have to answer the same gear questions over and over again. And you can even use affiliate links if you want to make some pocket change.
    Now I'm curious how your commute time will be once you've mastered your V12. Cheers, nice to see you being so safe with full gear from the getgo. Enjoy!

      @@brianlucero4 that's what I'm thinking. Anaheim to Harry Bridges Rd in Wilmington. My Sherman L should be able to do 80 miles on a single charge, but I'll still bring a charger to have good charge to avoid battery sag just incase I need to hit higher speeds.

    you're not really selling the whole EUC commuting thing with this video lol
    "do you wanna get to work faster?"
    > don't get an EUC cause it's not gonna get you there faster
    what it WILL do is reduce the stress of being in heavy car traffic and make your commute much more enjoyable.
    It takes me about 8 minutes to drive to work. I live closeby. If there's traffic it takes like 12 minutes.
    I bought an EUC to have fun first, with commuting to work as a secondary purpose. It takes 15-20 minutes to get to work on the EUC, but it's a lot more fun!
