It is one of the most captivating cities in the world, from the historic shrines and temples of traditional Japan to the bright neon lights of Shibuya. Tokyo offers an array of experiences...and we want to share some of ours with you.....

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
We do our best to post our videos fortnightly 😊

Yes, we did have a great time in Tokyo and we are just finishing editing our Kyoto video which will be ready tomorrow. We took the Shinkansen there and it was incredibly fast, spacious and clean 😊 Kyoto is such a beautiful city, we had a wonderful time there!

Great video... as usual. We'll be passing this one on to our Michael (who is still there right now) as there may very well be some spots where you went that he will be able to get to.
You mentioned the vending machines. We know that he has even bought ice cream a few times from those machines.
He has been to Kyoto, but might be back there again before he returns to Canada in September. We'll pass your Kyoto visit to him as well... just in case.

Ha ha, yes…Matty bought an icecream from a vending machine in Kyoto and loved it! We were amazed at how large Kyoto is! We loved it there, we hope Michael continues to enjoy his time in Japan (we’re very jealous)!

Yeah I have the same issue with Paul when I fly. My most important gear to bring is my earphones. Anyways nothing more memorable than family travel and of all places, exotic Japan!

Hi Beth and Paul. Thank you for sharing your trip and letting us come along with you. I know it takes time to film, edit and upload videos... it is much appreciated. It looks like you guys had a fabulous time in Tokyo. How cute were those mini pigs. Harriet and I have been to Toyko. We missed out on those pigs. They have cat cafes which we visited.

Hi 😊 This a good question but difficult for me to answer. My family, friends, pets and being surrounded by nature make me very happy and also very grateful. I think maybe there might be a connection between gratefulness and happiness. I don’t know. It’s often the little things that make me very grateful and happy …like a phone call from my kids, a good cup of coffee, a good book to read, the sound of frogs or spending time in my garden watching our bees and chickens…lots of everyday things. 😊
