- We were invited up to Dennison Commercial Ltd along with Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland to check out the new trucks currently out on their demo tour. We got chatting to Martin about the Volvo FH16 750 and FM Version 5's, while Gazza got the opportunity to take the FH16 out for a spin!

750HP is welcome upgrade since truck industry was stuck at arround 500HP for very long time. I just hope that other truck manufacturers will follow and push the bar even further.
Absolute beast trucks these volvos are. Mines a 63 plate FH500 with over 785000km on the clock still going strong on quarry and grain work 💪
The 750 looks awesome biggest I’ve driven is a FH 500..I drive MB actros but still miss the FH 480 celebration model she had full leather seats microwave and a fridge.I learned to drive in a FM 380 manual on 2001 reg.

Don't beat yourself up ,it's not a match for a S series ,dated poorly though out storage , terrible seats unless you're boss wants 2grand upgrade ,no floor space ,I'll though. Out controls ,try complaining about the poor seats,they will tell u that's all your bosses budget can get .volvo Gready useless bastards

It’s really just bizarre to me that cabovers aren’t really a thing in the United States anymore. I get that we have plenty of room in most cases for a conventional hood truck but we don’t seem to run near the horsepower that a lot of other countries do either which is weird again considering there’s so many hills and mountains here.

My dad drives a 2018 5 axle Volvo Fm 500 with a concrete pump mounted and its heavy like 47 tons empty (it dosn't load anything) but the volvo drives like nothing was on the back!

Looks like they at Volvo caught the electric and hydrogen virus though, spending zillions on that shit instead of working on real technologies that could reduce environmenal impact of diesel engines also in African countries and in less affluent countires!

My work have just ordered a load of new fh and fm's coming next year and I'm really hoping it's the new shape fm! Love my 16 plate but it's not that comfy for a week away!

FH is the next looking truck imo
It's amazing how different the same job gets done around the world. Volvo stopped offering the D16 in North America because they couldn't sell enough of them to justify it. They claim the new D13 with turbo compounding comes close enough in performance that the D16 isn't necessary.

Scania haven’t got full bragging rights because the 750 can be chipped to 800 but don’t worry Volvo will come back with an 800 maybe even an 850
