I had this dimmer switch installed several weeks ago, I’m very happy that I came across your website. Thank you so much for this video. It was very easy to understand. Again, thank you 😊!!
Bought this dimmer cuz I have 7 can lights I jus retro fitted with LEDs and was having serious delays when flipping the lights on but no more.... This dimmer rocks!!! BTW after reading the manual to program ur suppose to hold upper on toggle and lower Dimmer button to enter program mode not upper dimmer.... 😁
I would have liked (1) a demo of those settings (too dim, flickering, default middle, and brightest), and (2) a fuller list of all the things that can be programmed or controlled, like the long hold to do a 30-second fade, how to adjust the duration of that fade, etc.
When he refers to “light flickering” he means the load light, the light being dimmed, etc. and NOT the little green light you are seeing flickering in this video.
Great video! When I turn off my lights either one or both of the lights will turn on automatically almost like a night light. It's super low light and lower than the lowest brightness setting. I don't know how to turn off the night light feature. What do you recommend?
I have no idea what you're talking about. How to I get the main switch to control it again? I have to use the side toggle to go up and down or it goes all the way down, and all the way up
How are you sir if you have time could you please help me out to connect my ceiling light to the Lutron switch . I tried couple time is still not working for me thanks
This is nor the same one my contractor has installed. The one installed has a light and fan separated buttons, expensive switch. Please can you tell me where to find the programming for the model I have?? Help from Houston 😊
We had a brief power outage and now the lights are flashing on and off. I tried everything on your video (thank you BTW) but they are still flashing. Do I need to buy a new one?
When that happens the switch is shot. U can also kill the switch if you change bulbs without disconnecting power, which can be done by pulling a tab at thr base of the switch. There are videos on it
The side lights keep flashing very quickly and the switches are not working. They worked fine for a week. I pulled tab with switchbheld down and that reset it for a few days. It has happened again. Any suggestions?
Your definitely need to work on your communication skills, when u say " your light is flickring, u can mean the room lights which is why your adjusting thr switch or the indicator on the switch , which is not " flickering" its blinking. Very misleading the way you explain it .
This is the most idiotdic programming set up for a light. This what happens when engineers create a light switch without having real users test it and give feedback. Such a dumb light switch. 👎👎👎👎
I agree; it's over-complicated. I just wanted a dimmer switch. Connect the wires, and done. --The comments suggest that when the power goes out, you may have to reprogram it:/
Installed per Lutron, however it works sometimes. It’s weird...I have 4 pendants w/ LED bulbs, and two switches (std single pole non-dimmer). Programmed per suggestion. Works first time, then subsequent attempts, just stays off. Any ideas?
I held the the two buttons down but no led light goes on? No power while the switch for the fan beside goes on...so I know there power to the box... Any suggestions?? Thnks!
I think hes hitting the wrong 2 buttons.... The manual says hold upper switch and lower dimmer button at same time for 3-5 seconds. He says upper main switch and upper dimmer.... Try that... 😁
AWFUL INSTRUCTIONS - Completely different from the Factory Lutron UA-cam Video, which is different from the Paper Factory Instructions. The Paper Factory Instructions in the Maestro MACL-153M I just purchased says to use the Upper ("R") button to program, while this video says to use the Lower ("L") button. AND, both Factory Paper Instructions and these UA-cam instructions, at different times, use "blinking" and "flickering" to refer to room LED lights and the Indicator Lights on the Lutron switch. One would think this UA-cam video would show the brightness of the room lights so the viewer could tell what's happening during programming, but the video is shot with bright lights on the Lutron switch, so you can tell what's happening with the room lights!

Cleer concise super helpful! thank you!
For some reason the light stays on at the lowest dimmer level and never actually turns all the way off.
What am I doing wrong?

It would be nice to know how to set the top level.
Top level is where you leave the highest setting you like.

Thanks for the video how do I make my lights dim to off when I’m leaving the room
Excellent tutorial and really nice dimmer!
That's incorrect. To adjust the bottom end of the dimming range, you need to hold the main (big) button + the lower dimmer botton.
I wish you had covered all the program modes.

I am having the same issue. It turns back on after a few minutes. Have you figured out how to disable that?
@Bruno C i am having the same problem
Very helpful. Best settings tutorial I’ve found. Thanks again!
Thank you for the programing tip :-))

When I turn it off my light flickers in dark all the time

Do the lights light up on the switch for you normally? They should if it it working properly.
I think hes hitting the wrong 2 buttons.... The manual says hold upper switch and lower dimmer button at same time for 3-5 seconds. He says upper main switch and upper dimmer.... Try that... 😁
My dimmer is now taking a long time to turn on now
My light turns on by itself... Why?
