Here I am again in a short amount of time to drop you guys this Soldier Boy video. I've been enjoying the new season of The Boys really much. To me the show is currently the best on air without a doubt, every characters this seasons had amazing development, Homelander, Butcher, Kimiko etc...
I thought Soldier Boy was an awesome addition to the show. His storylines with both homelander & butcher up until the confrontation was truly great. He manage to parallels both Butcher & Homelander which was genius.

@@slyfer2812 I was wondering if you can upload a video of King Kong from the 2005 Peter Jackson remake. Would you like to do that? It is pretty emotional to see how Kong is lonely on Skull Island until he meets this woman who he becomes infatuated with. Then, he gets captured and taken to New York City to be used as entertainment which eventually led to him escaping until his death on the Empire State Building. I would like this video to be extremely entertaining because this version of Kong is more sympathetic, tragic, innocent and caring unlike his 1933 counterpart.

Soldier Boy was honestly the best character this season and one of the best in the whole show. Season 3 was amazing and Jensen did such a good job in showing us many aspects of Soldier Boy's broken soul. Awesome edit and I definitely agree with the caption.
AND most of all he was right and stuck to the plan.

He's the only character who stayed true to his principles. Even the supposedly unbreakable Billy Butcher turned his back on the original plan, even though Soldier Boy had a lot more to lose than he did.
I think had he not tried to kill the innocent Ryan, his own grandson Butcher, Maeve, Starlight, MM and Kimiko would have all helped him kill Homelander. Attacking an innocent kid and not caring if he killed him as long as he killed HL showed he was as evil as his son.

You missed the point of the entire character.
Whatever, I am done writing 20+ explanations of what SB represents and what exactly is a typical misconception.
Just know that he did not do it for promise’s sake. He merely used that to win an argument and get rid of his spitting image.
SB is narcissist. When narcissists look at the mirror they cannot unsee all the imperfections.
SB’s father made known to him that he was a failure. And he never believe it.
Lived his lavish life. Bullied everybody and put on overtly-masculine bravado to cover up his insecurities.
And then he meets Homelander and realizes that his old father, that he hades his whole life, was right. Homelander was a failure, and he was the EXACT same failure as was him.
SB, as true narcissist, could not bear the existence of something representing everything wrong with himself, and he made up his mind to end that abomination.
There was no honor or anything noble. Just a person acting on their own weakness.
And sure, he got confused to the motivations of Butcher and asked him “that was the whole point”.
Point being, there was no cord being struck, and if you honestly elevate him to a pinnacle of masculinity or maturity, you are beyond nearsighted and superficial.
Soldier Boy, the man that thought he was the hero of this story. Son of a disappointed father. Father to a disappointing son. He’s lost everything that mattered because of his choices and still believed that he was the hero. But he was a better man than Homelander

@@casewalker6244 Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. He was racist, abused Noir and his team to the point of them all wanting to take him down. His views on the world are not just dated they are dangerous. Not exactly as fucked up as Homelander but he was still an asshole in general.
I mean, Homelander’s upbringing was literally crimes against humanity.
The fact that he is any sociable at all and not Brightburn is a big win at this point.
You cannot subject a child to parent-less solitary confinement with brutal torture and experiments, until he grows up, and expect anything non-violent or non-feral.

I never thought I’d feel sympathy for soldier boy in the end. His heart to heart with Butcher and then his last scene with Homelander was amazing.
Jensen was casted perfectly for this role, came as a surprise out of nowhere! This edit captures it so Damm beautifully ❤️
Plus he was good with the action sequences....boy can really scrap with the best of them!

Soldier boy might not be a perfect person (but who really is) anyway he's definitely one of my favorite characters. Love a good old masculine character, for some reason it really pissed me off when they turned on him. Usually i like butcher but i was cheering for Soldierboy the whole time. They should have got ryan out of the damn way and let Soldierboy finish the mission. He was the only one to follow through.

He is the real soldier who sticks to his mission without any emotion or feelings. He was a man with his words
you've got the realest soldier personality in the show and somehow didn't storm normandy or fought the nazis even tho he might as well have with his skill and personality. weird lore details
I think he was entirely capable of it, but being the poster boy they kept him safe from the front to preserve their propaganda pieces.
Kinda like how John Basilone won the Medal of Honor and they sent him on tours of the states to raise war bonds and advertise war support, but he had to fight to get back to frontlines where he ultimately died on the shores of Iwo Jima

@@hydra_lisk I also found that very strange, but it got me thinking; SB is clearly very well trained, does look like he has combat experience, and Vought definitely didn’t risk anything sending him to battles, since he’s completely immune to any man made weapons (that we’ve seen so far at least). So I’m thinking he actually has been in wars and battles, just not in WWII. If you remember, Νazis were part of Vought during WWII, that’s why I think he wasn’t sent there.
@@williamhanna9718 Safe from what, the guy can take entire machine gun mags being emptied in his mouth. It hurts, but it doesn’t really do anything, he would be entirely safe in a battlefield, and a huge moral boost to regular human soldiers.
He’s easily my favorite character this season & I hope he comes back in season 4

@@octaviablackthorn9 I think its just so they can make some anti supe juice or something since he can eliminate powers, which would explain how they are going to kill homelander in later seasons. Seems butcher cant do it on his own and the rest wont take temp V anymore so its really the only way to do it.
Jensen said he will come back if he can he has signed on to do season 3 of the show Big Sky. So maybe not season 4 but hopefully 5.
Season 5 is my guess.
With his ability to remove superpowers, he's a plot device now. He'll definitely come back
two things bother me about soldier boy discussions.
1: Ryan very clearly lazered Soldier boy first showing soldier boy that ryan was a clear and present threat willing to attack him, even if he didn't fight having been in Europe during WW2 Soldier boy would've seen his fair share of Hitler Youth (child soldiers) and known what they could do. Him trying to kill ryan is perfect reasonable in that situation.
2: How is he racist? like he accidentally killed MM's family and that's the only thing that would even be remotely racist that he's done?
Yeah, about point 2, not a single soul can explain where it was even hinted at that he was racist. It was quite the opposite in fact, with him calling a black man “America’s Dad” and “what a real man looks like”, and getting pissed off about how Americans went to war with Afghanistan, because he considered them friends and respected them. That’s definitely not stuff you’ll hear a white racist say, much less someone who clearly has no filter or reservations about how he says anything.
Seems to me like MM was trying to find additional reasons to hate him, combined with how race obsessed everyone seems to be these days.
People giving out that he's a hero, others that he's a villain, I personally see him as a soldier, plain & simple. A soldier with a mission.
It really was not at all what happened, but ok. Keep being ignorant, I guess.
The whole premise of Solider Boy flew right over your head.
He is a great character that is on par with Homelander, for what they represent.
Soldier Boy is a very deeply broken and insecure man, that puts on fake bravado and bullies anybody that does not agree with him. He is the result of his bad parental guidance and toxic masculinity of that generation.
Even though he pretended to be a “tough guy” it was always a cover-up. A diversion. He never went to war. He never led his team. He never fought for anybody but himself. And he was too into himself that he never notices how much everybody hated him in his team, until it was too late.
And when he saw in Homelander his own reflection, he could not bear it. Just like narcissistic parents give up on their children, since they tend to be projections of their own downfalls.
It was not because of honor or promise or anything dignifiable. Soldier Boy simply could not bear his mistake being embodied in that person.
And, worst of all, he realized that his deadbeat of a father was right. He was a failure. His son was an even bigger failure, just like him.
Glorifying Solider Boy as some pinnacle of maturity is entirely missing the point.
Appearing to be one and being one are different things, and, unsurprisingly, average viewer could not see beyond the surface of what he tells and appears to do.

Soldier Boy is more human than Homelander in some ways, and less in others. Their like a mirror of each other where the reflection fits the pieces together. And then shatters. A complicated character that even after showing his abuses and his selfishness, your still left to wonder at what could have been, had he been just a little more human.

Soldier Boy kept his part of the deal, honestly my favorite character of s3, they did him fucking dirty to extend this show as long as possible, piss poor writing in the finale ruined a great 7 episodes.

The show was always going to be 5 seasons if not canceled. They kept SB alive so I'm sure he will be back.
Jensen Ackles was awesome as Soldier Boy this season, although I thought they ended this season very well. One of the core themes of the show revolves around the fact that they’re trying to kill monsters, but without going so far to lose their own humanity and becoming monsters themselves. I think Ryan was meant to represent this - Butcher realises that if he kills him, then in his mind, he would be no better than Homelander. So yes, he broke his deal with Soldier Boy, but I thought this was a nice character moment for Butcher - to see the remaining humanity within him.
@@Momoo77 yeah the situation has definitely worsened for Butcher, but I just wanted to point out that I thought it was an understandable decision from his point of view - not necessarily the right decision. It’s an ethical dilemma as to what price he is willing to pay to kill Homelander
I think the Ryan dynamic will be interesting to watch in the next season; to see if he attempts to redeem his mistake and to save Ryan from following the path of Homelander. Also Homelander and Ryan were some of favourite scenes from season 2 so I’m looking forward to more of that!
I understand why some points may feel underwhelming, but I do not understand the hate of some people for last episode, it wasn't bad at all, it was a very good episode. Maybe it could have been better tho, but I feel this season was setting up many things.
Great work, wish you included him smoking the grenade, and the line to Homelander "You think you look tough? You're wearing a cape" something like that. Still amazing.

Most interesting character this season. This is the first time I see an atmosphere like this and it was so compelling. Perfectly mixed soldier boy's story and action in one video. The intensity of some parts was amazing and the fight scenes are so incredibly edited ! A MASTERPIIIIECE !!

This video is a whole lot more satisfying then the finale I can say that for sure. So much wasted potential between Starlight's joke of a flashbang with a 30 second lead up, Noir being absolutely wasted as a character, Kimiko suddenly completely losing her sober attitude about killing and now performing flashdance while killing, and soldier boy being double crossed

Considering how much damage bn took in the past scenes, added with how much of an important character he is to the comics. It wouldn't be completely unreasonable to think he's not dead (granted his story can completely change of course with how they've changed a few things already)

When hughie thought he had soldier boy figured out cuz he found out he didn't storm Normandy on D-day I thought "here we go they gonna take his character and make him secretly a pussy" but he just rocks hughie in the jaw and is unphased. I thought "oh wow he's actually more complex than even Hughie can understand". Hughie said "nobody is that tough" but soldier boy just continued to prove he is in fact that tough. I loved it because whether this new generation of men want to admit it or not there really is men out there tough as fucking steel. 💪 Best character in the whole show.
He didn't storm Normandy but he definitely saw action in WW2.
The Man is way too trained in Combat to just be a Moviestar.

I think he was held back in WWII because Νazis were part of Vought and he’d put them at a massive disadvantage if he were active in the fight against them.

Ryan couldn't have possibly died because of soldier boy's blast. Come on, he's Homelander's son and he killed Stormfront so yeah he's powerful. Kimiko and Maeve survived the blast also. Man, soldier boy was doing the right thing and despite finding out that homelander is his son he was still going to kill him and fullfill his end of the deal but Butcher fucked everything up. This Finale was not at all satisfying. It feels like just a build up for season 4 which is ok...but they could have done it better. Great work on this video. You're the Boss.

@@kingol4801 No. He had more potential as a villain and an ally of Homelander. Imagine how much threatening Homelander would be if he A) had the help of a veteran hero who can give him CQC training, and B) had said hero on backup to take out other rebellious heroes with that chest beam attack.
Plus, imagine the propaganda win. Soldier Boy, the hero of heroes, comes back, declares Homelander his trueborn son and heir, passing the torch from one generation to another, then they introduce Ryan to the crowd. With three generations of heroes all at once, Homelander reiterates his support for conservative America and American family values, of fathers raising their kids, and Soldier Boy heartily approves.
