What we all must remember is in times of crisis, the innocent as well as a guilty often times are victims. Only God can sort this out and in his pleasure and way not ours. We will probably be dead before this particular situation is resolved. but that does not less our responsibility to Pray make reparations and fast for the circumstances.
The biggest mistake in history, is the Catholic Churches failure to condemn the fractional reserve banking system in all it's forms. Even a gold standard would be undermined if no condemnation of fractional reserve banking occurred!

Perhaps engage the support of cardinals and bishops from the very beginning, to ensure that efforts proceed and aren't stalled/ thwarted by the hierarchy? Opinion polls, surveys and polite requests go ignored. This project needs strong and clear course of action(s) and very clear aims and objectives. God bless.
I love that idea too! My town has a food pantry and a food garden. All parishes should consider these ideas and if they don’t have the right facilities, they perhaps could set up a system within the parishoners to store supplies.

Bizarre that so soon after the council he was already admitting the Church would shrink, while somehow presenting this as a positive. Calls into question the notion that VII was meant to broaden the Church's appeal.
You can start to understand this crisis by reading the last 2 books of Fr. Paul Kramer. When doing so, pay particular attention to his quotes of the popes, his quotes of the magisterium, so you will know you cannot engage in denial, stupidity, or tribal cheer leading. His quotes of the Church fathers and some solid Catholic mystics, and saintly Catholic theologians are also good to ponder. He also has a 4 part UA-cam post with a lot of his conclusions that should be listened to carefully and pondered in your heart. "Christ permitted this: that the Antichrist, the head of all schismatics, should sit in the temple of God, that His own should be exiled, and that those who are not His own should one day occupy the seat of Peter." (Peter the Venerable, De miraculis libri duo (Book II, Chapter 16). "The sun will be darkened and the moon will no longer give its light, because the Church, annihilated so to speak under the redoubled efforts of the persecutors and the impious, will no longer appear." (Saint Augustine, Letter to Hesychius)
Archbishop Vigano is doing his duty, but the faithful are trying to hang him with a rope themselves. They don't want to study Catholic theology, what the popes said, what the magisterium said, what the Church Fathers said, what the saintly theologians said. They search the internet for tribal conformation bias and attack those not in their tribe. Jesus did not found a Church with a catch 22 built in where He has to come down from heaven to fix His Bride. Because Catholics are afraid of the cross of being falsely accused of schism. They falsely accuse Archbishop Vigano of schism with the persecutors and impious, who are pretending Cajetan was wrong. Don't you think the code of canon law intended Cajetan's conclusions, which are Archbishop Viganos conclusions? Canon laws are not written in a vacuum. they didn't just leave room for Cajetan's conclusions, his conclusions are what the canon law intended to legislate! The limit of Papal authority was historically established at the time of St. Athanasius. When a pope blatantly fails to condemn error. The faithful have a right to withdraw obedience to him and operate as faithful Catholics outside ordinary jurisdiction as St. Athanasius did. When a pope teaches heresy in the non-infallible magisterium, the faithful have a right to withdraw obedience to him and operate as Catholics outside ordinary jurisdiction because that is worse then just failing to condemn errors. When a pope says he believes something heretical or teaches something heretical in the non-infallible magisterium. All the faithful have an obligation to confront him beginning with the cardinals. When you and I are are questioned by our bishop about being a heretic and we don't answer him. The Church considers us to be heretics, there is no law of the Church that the faithful have to keep but the pope does not. So when the pope is questioned by a cardinal, his silence is an admittance of guilt. It's all just common sense!

Picking a pope from Rome itself is a way of picking the most ambitious person who knows how to manipulate everyone, plus it leaves out all the smart and holy people of the rest of the world. In my mind a very bad idea.

In 1969 on German radio he spoke about a much deminished Church which will lose much and become the Church of the meek.
