Not sure who needs to hear this in your marketing department, but this amazing business development strategy. I was hesitating between two suppliers and I'm not clear I'll order with you - the pros. Cheers
I LOVE your videos! So helpful and with professional results too. I tell everyone. We are restoring a 35’ sailboat and I know where to look for help. Thank you so much
Hi friends, i'm starting to sewing sails. i'm looking for a little machine like this with normal zig zag and 3 zig zag steeps. This machine that you shows in the video where i can buy one like this? Thanks, regards
It looks to me like having a proper sail loft with the sewing machine base being flush to the floor surface, and a pit to sit in would make feeding the cloth much easier. How difficult would it be if one doesn't have this?
I had a friend make sails at home, you can do it without a loft. It requires more rolling / unrolling panels or sections prior to sewing, but not that hard. You spend a lot of time hunched over or kneeling so knee-pads are a big help. It's definitely a DIY achievable project as the real skill / knowledge goes into the sail design and cutting. As a lot of that is computer assisted per this video (with expert human control) you get an excellent product.
@ApprenticeGM I'd really like to try this when it comes time to replace sails. Bought a sewing machine, and have been learning to tailor my own clothing. Unfortunately, making a sail in a relatively small San Francisco apartment might not be feasible. I might have to see if I can borrow some space in a warehouse... or maybe even a local school gymnasium during summer 😀
I love to fabric, can I use this fabric to make other items, like duffle bags? Is this material available for purchase? what is this material ? or where do I find it un the saltier site?
Yes, we have a lot of our DIY customers using sailcloth to make bags and duffles. Laminate sailcloth (shown in this video) is a special order item from Sailrite (5 yard minimum). If you would like a quote please email jefff@sailrite.com Here is a duffle bag that may be of interest to you (it has a video showing how to make it): www.sailrite.com/search?keywords=duffle%20bag
Jakość wykonania słaba i panele się niepokrywają. Narożniki nie wykończone. Na koniec lik wolny faluje. W Polsce za tę jakość by Was zjedli. Ale za filmik - kciuk do góry. Lubię Wasz kanał.

If you can find one of their Professional models those work pretty well. Sailrite no longer sells them but keeps up with some spare parts
