- Shulker Rescue - HermitCraft 10 - E15 - Today on HermitCraft we visit with xB who wanted to ask me a bunch of questions! We talk, we laugh, we hang out and good times were had! Recently I attempted to move a shulker from The End to the overworld, then to The Nether and finally to it's final location. However things didn't go to plan. I had to call in Etho to help rescue it from the Mail system!

grian messed up the mail system with a potato and hypno did it with a shulker. the mail misadventures are quite entertaining
And they all called the post crew to help fix it haha. Pearl helped Grian, Etho helped Hypno and X , and Tango helped Zed.

Spam diced small and fried in a pot, then remove the Spam, add water, and boil your rice. Add the Spam back in after the rice is done. Mmmmmmmmm!
Sounds plain, ngl.. I know times can get rough, but get yourself some ketjap manis (about 3/4) soy sauce (1/4), some spices they would probably use in asia, about as much cold water, a scoop of peanut butter (or sauce, depends) and a tablespoon or 2 of Sambal and cornstarch. If you can get your hands on sesameoil, you can throw that in there aswel, like a spoon full. Mix it all up and add to the ingredients when they are nearly done. It needs to have a smooth consistency with a brown colour and a red hue. Let it get nice and thick in the pan on high heat. Cook the rice seperately and let it sit for 10-ish minutes before serving. The texture changes. It might cost a little bit more, but these ingredients are very hard to spoil and they'll last you a while. 👍🏻
I liked that Etho burn you got in. I got a good chuckle out of that. He's a pretty humble dude from what I can tell, but it's nice to see y'all putting in the work to keep it so😂

Spam casserole: Cook rotini, drain, add cubed spam, big can of tomato juice, diced onion, top with cheese and bake until the cheese is melted. Yum!
Totally agree on the sorting inventory! Thats 100% my one wish for the game, it makes the whole inventory system so much better. Especially if it also has the insert and filtered instert options
The OG cheap spaghetti sauce is in a white can with black lettering that says "SPAGHETTI SAUCE". It wasn't bad, just very plain.
Ours were dry mixes growing up. Add meat, tomato paste and tomato sauce.

i wonder.. if you put a trap door down and you're in fly mode and go through your portal... does it then send you to the mailbox? that's so funny if it just so happened to be in that exact wrong height lol
It is possible with portal mechanics. The block you teleport FROM looks for the closest portal block on the other side to connect to. People have made trick portals that teleport to multiple locations depending on the height of the player or the side of the portal for years.
39:55 The change is actually getting reverted in 1.20.5 so you should be able to build it :)
And the raid farm change is in 1.21 so you still have some more time haha

In 1.21 raid farms will still work, but you have to manually drink the bad omen potion. Also don't forget to splash heal your shulker until you have some excess
Hypno's No. 1 thing to add to minecraft makes a lot of sense! What a quick easy quality of life update 🤩

Maruchan Ramen is the brand name you're looking for, I think. And Top Ramen also has a creamy mushroom flavor. Also, I might just have to make XB some of MY spaghetti and sauce: guaranteed to make him love spaghetti again! Mm mm good! (I actually have about 6 or 7 spaghetti sauce recipes!)

I was not expecting a 10 minute conversation about Ramen, or to find it delightful.
If you fry up the spam and caramelize it up nice and crunchy, it goes well with a sweet fruit or as part of a sandwich.
Would be funny if you legit just kept that shucker as a pet in the house xD
Speaking of things you could have. We are playing FTB unstable at the moment and my Brother in law has built a computer to take inventory on our shared base. We're also using solar panels to run things. Its awesome.
As a college student, Creamy Chicken ramen is legit. Sooooo good

I had a store near me growing up that carried all the maruchan ramen flavors:
Beef- red
Roast Beef- dark red
Chicken- orange
Roast chicken- light orange
Creamy chicken- yellow
Shrimp- pink
Lime chili shrimp- light green
Pork- brown
Soy sauce- blue.
I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting, we were a chicken and beef family because those were the only two that came in the cheaper boxes, but I remember asking for the roast and creamy chicken

I've seen a few videos from various hermits in the past couple of days talking about the inventory. Personally, I think they need to make a modified hopper that is a filter in a single block. You put one of whatever it sorts into a special slot in the UI, then the only item it can hold is what you put in the filter slot. I'm not sure if it would be OP if you could combine it with a mine cart, but a hopper cart or a chest cart running over some filter hoppers wouldn't be a bad option.

Hey Hypnotizd, just wanted to reach out and let you know that the original designers of that shulker farm that you used last season have been cooking up a new version 3 which fixes that armour stand issue (doesn't even need one ;) and we've just finished making a block by block tutorial on it which comes with a world download and schematic if you'd prefer to follow that instead

I'm with xB on the spaghetti, I survived on it for weeks when first starting my nursing career until I got my first cheque. Mr Noodles is the goto ramen here... Chicken, beef and vegetable flavors are the typical. I am not as sick of it as I am spaghetti

doc is a tad pertubed about hypno's industrial district location. xD he's like "i built in the middle of nowhere to BE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. not to have other things built near me!" xDDDD
1.21 is the version that will change Bad Omen and raid farms. Minor versions (1.20.5) are mostly just supposed to add things -- in this case, armadillos and wolf armor and cosmetic wolf variants. 1.21 will change existing things, like world generation (trial chambers) and raid mechanics.
You’re treating this like it’s a precedent when it really isn’t, 1.18.2 completely redid world gen to make it work with datapacks and 1.19.3 redid the creative inventory meanwhile 1.15 just added bees and honey, the rest was bugfixes. Also 1.21 is adding new stuff too, you can’t argue the crafter is changing anything except recipestages’ existence
And you can’t argue bugfixes are changes without putting 1.20.4 in your major versions category, afaik that was solely a bugfix

@@fashnek what’s your definition of breaking changes? Those two minor updates are ones I’m specifically aware of because they broke basically all mods for the previous minor version. One of the 1.14 minor versions removed the glitch where you could stack enchants that are supposed to be exclusive, is that a breaking change? What about the 1.16 minor version that added brutes, which broke speedrun routes so much that speedruns are still done on the previous 1.16 version
Mods and speedrunning are strictly aftermarket.

If you have enough clerics, you can get a decent quantity of redstone easily enough. I built a trading hall with 32 clerics in my server world. The upcoming raid farm nerf is super annoying, though.
In the UK we call cup noodles pot noodles and the company put some of their noodles into those square packets and called them Lost the Pot Noodle 😂

Hi Hypno, first time seeing the inside of your house, brilliant job btw. Feels like just the other day we were chilling on stream gathering dark oak, talking about wool modern mansions and vintage video games. I feel the same about spam, always want one but can never finish a can. Chicken ramen probably my favorite with beef weighing in pretty heavy. Thank you for the Etho lure, catch you in your next stream!

Treat spam as you would bacon. Cut thin, 1/4th inch'ish (or cube, but not my preference), pan fry until crispy- serve it in most of the same circumstances you would the bacon. It isnt "good" food, but can be tasty if cooked correctly. 🤷♂ Traditional island style would be Musubi, or served with rice and eggs.

I prefer Maruchan ramen over Top Ramen. And they have all sorts of flavors, your standard chicken, beef, shrimp, and then there's pork, mushroom, soy sauce (formerly known as 'oriental'), roast chicken, creamy chicken, roast beef, picante chicken, chili, and lime chili shrimp. They used to also have picante beef and a tomato flavor. This doesn't include all the various flavors they had in their cup ramen line.
Creamy chicken ramen is the best. You should definitely give it a try.

ah, i love spaghetti, but I got real tired of red beans and rice. We didn't eat spam that often, but fried bologna sandwiches were a good thing, with mustard. It takes a special person to appreciate commodity cheese, or to know how to cook dried eggs with rice and onions.

Beef, chicken, shrimp those are the flavors we had. But if you want something really cheap go to a restaurant or coffee shop that has hunny or sugar packets to pocket, best if you can find some jelly to, get some hot sauce from a Mexican place, sneak some unions and relish from a hotdog stand or if you can go in the out door of a Costco, then buy some rice (some Chinese restaurants give out unused rice at the end of the day and sometimes you can get packets of sweet and sour sauce or other things by the door) and make rice balls. Now mix the sauce add the rice balls and cook in a skillet, oven, toaster or microwave if you have to; until everything is gooey and incorporated. Since the only cost is rice and time you can decide how much rice you want to use (probably under ¢50 worth) and collect as much of the other ingredients as you can so you’re set for a while.

I used to love the ramen flavors, but developed a sensitivity to the MSG ( monosodium glutamate ).

Wait, u r sick of spaghetti? I too am very poor but my Italian blood could eat pasta all day every day. Buttered noodles, be it ramen or penne, or macaroni, pasta is life. Mr. Noodles might be the ramen brand y'all were thinking of, at least that is the brand we have here in Canada. I basically would be starving if not for Dollarama. I know that dollar stores r terrible for the economy but a broke girl gotta do wut she gotta do. Glad XB is no longer living that broke life.
