I’ve watched a lot of hair stylists/ cosmetologist doing hair on UA-cam and you are the only chair that hit that nape with the trimmer just like they used to in the mid 90’s. Thank you for that .
Great job in styling and trimming. FYI: Homemade hair masks with avocado and egg yolk will soften the hair, maintain curl pattern and make the hair more manageable without chemicals, like a texturizer. It also helps to pre-poo hair with conditioner and using a aloe vera/water mix as a daily spray before moisturizing. Seal the moisture with olive oil or avocado oil and bam, it makes a huge difference.

I don't know why these hair stylists insist on using texturizers and heat on natural hair. The purpose I thought of going natural was to enjoy your hair in its natural texture. 🤷🏾♀️

Yellowing/brassy hair ...is from medication intake as well...yogurt and olive oil mixture would've soften her hair to tame as a hair masque with the steamer (as for me for my silver mane) ...instead of a chemical...yes indeed gray hair is low porosity(does not hold moisture) wheeew weee natural hair is a workout 😁

I pour some shampoo into my hand, and then I add a few drops of Tea tree oil(3-4) into the shampoo, mix it by rubbing the two together, then apply the mixture to my hair. I also do the same when using conditioner. One can also add drops of Tea tree oil into your bottles of shampoo and conditoner.
I just watched you for the first time and really enjoyed the talk on gray hair. The front of my hair damaged badly so it stays straight but the back is still natural but gets tangled easily. It is hard to manage at 67, so should I cut it all down, my hair is a little below my shoulder or get a texturing put in.

That's RIGHT! A TRIM is a Trim! Many don't care about your beautiful hair like you do care about it. I love that YOU said it too. I also love how you were so careful cutting and styling her hair. Henna ruins your hair, and it dries the shaft of the hair! You've got it. For some reason it is like a very agresive metallic dye.

I have grey/silver hair. I recently transitioned to natural hair about six months ago. When I wore a relaxer, my hair would turn yellow following a touch up. I used Bantu Yellow Out to remove all of the yellow and brassy look. The yellow cast can be completely removed. Just an FYI.

I had ringworms as a child on my scalp (tinea capitis) but it spread so badly that it was on my neck and I had enlarged lymph nodes. I saw a dermatologist who prescribed antifungal medication for me. My hair in the back of my head completely fell out. Til this day, I do not allow any one to touch my hair except my stylist. The boy behind me in class used to touch my hair all the time b/c it was long. He had ringworm on his hand which my mother learned once she notified my teacher that I would be absent for some time. Clearly if i hear the word, ringworm...I'm triggered. I will never forget the sight of my braids completely detaching from my scalp and floating in the bath water.

@@missarcene4345 What I do is apply some shampoo or conditioner in the palm of my hand and apply a few drops of Tea Tree oil into the shampoo, or conditioner. One can also shake drops of Tea Tree oil into the shampoo, or conditioner containers.

For a fungus which is what a wing worm is use apple cider vinegar. Vinegar is a natural anti-fungal that works well in the head. Also it is very good for your hair as a cleanser and conditioner on a daily basis.

Her hair would have looked better with tighter curls to form her face and the hairstyle would have last longer. Having all of her beautiful hair pulled away from her face was not a good look
