    I've been told that that is not actually meant to be a pritchel hole but us simply a mounting hole so you can bolt that end of the anvil down.

      If that is true, that is a decision made by someone who never uses an anvil.

    Thanks for the review Derek, a question if you will. This Anvil is advertised as a cast steel anvil, then further down in the description says Drop Forged, which one ?

    Whats the advantage of London pattern placement of the hardy hole and pritchel hole vs ... thats a german pattern anvil below the vevor right?

    As a second anvil in the shop I’m thinking about the 132 lb’er…. Cleaner edges than my antique one I have…

      VERY common on Chinese anvils.
