Master difficulty is an unlockable difficulty after collecting all 14 emeralds.
On this difficulty, The speed is set at Gear 3 just like Hard Mode but ALL Bots will be MAX Level at the start and they will NOT get easier even upon continuing. On top of that, in Bonus Round, you have NO bumpers and the timer will not refresh above 10 seconds! It's a challenge on how well you can deal with strong bots and your overall mastery of the game.
Also, on this difficulty only, Finishing 1st overall on a GP GUARANTEES a Sealed Star, rather than being within A Rank status after the last race of a GP. Perfect, considering there is 1 unlockable for getting all the emeralds AGAIN... but on Master. Sealed Stars will also be on Gear 3 speed rather than Gear 2!

Could you help me understand how to use sliptide? I read some instructions on the discord but I still have no idea how to get it to happen.

how the sliptide works is that you need to be over 150% on the speedometer (the percentage above where your rings and lives would be), slightly drift to the direction you want to go, and turn normally, if done correctly, a spiral effect should be overlayed to the back of your kart.
the longer you hold your sliptide, the better your boost becomes.

See, I have never been able to get a single emerald because the cups don't show the emerald line for some reason. I've been trying to figure out why. I only see up to the last race with no line after.

The line towards the sealed star only starts showing up during GP attempts if you’ve successfully visited a sealed star at least once. If you haven’t, then there’s no line.

you've got to earn enough points to go to the secret stage. Try finishing each stage with 20 rings, getting the lap bonus and not using too many continues.

I think you need to be at least on normal or higher to get it as well?
