Use of the Vector 21 binocs will auto enter the range and inclination into the ATragMX, meaning once you have your atmospherics and wind set you quickly get the adjustments.
At 3:25, you turned to your right to get the windspeed. Later, at 3:38 you put the 'wind direction (clock)' to 9. Shouldn't it have been 3, rather than 9, since to your right would be 3-o'clock and you were getting positive values from the Kestrel (implying that the wind is going from 9 to 3)?
+Kill3rCat hm, thats for me a good question... if we think the wind blows from right to left, 3 to 9 oclock, then he is right. but if atragmx means: enter the wind from the direction, then it must be 3.. but, what is correct? the direction from where it comes, or to where it goes?!
ironblader It's a bit weird. I think for some reason the 'Trag takes wind direction as the direction it is blowing *to*, not *from*. Silly 'Trag. Edit: Derp. I think I got those two the wrong way around. Also, turning to his right he'd be facing 3 o'clock. Since he was measuring headwind, we can presume that the wind was blowing from 3 to 9.
So we can assume that AtragMX wants the direction where the wind goes, in this case the 9 should be right then?! is this comfirmed? AtragMX needs the direction to where wind goes?
+Kill3rCat Atrag calculates wind from where it comes from. If it blows from right to left then you put 3. If from left to right then you put 9 (7 or 8, depends on the angle - for that press shift+k to see the wind direction).
This was super useful, explains the wind measurements a lot better than most other videos that just fly through it. Thanks!

ironblader [shrug] guess so?
