    Have been caught in the rain twice without my raincoat while wearing these boots. Pants got wet but my socks stayed dry. I stepped on cat poop once and I just washed it off in a puddle. It's rain storm season in Malaysia right now and I'm so glad I have these boots. Wet socks are one of the worst feelings while riding. For some weird reason everyone says these boots are wide, but they were too tight around the toes for me. I normally wear size euro 40 but I had to exchange them for size 41. I guess I have wide feet?

      Greetings from Malaysia too, glad I'm here to read this, planning on getting the tcx mood gortex. I do agree riding everyday from work with wet sock is big no no.

      @@revup9973 wet socks on the way to work is the worst! The TCX Metropolitan Gore-Tex looks more like office wear, but it's also more expensive - RM1,000+. But I don't like the laces. Inconvenient when you are rushing. The Stylmartin Oxford boots also look like office wear and they use a zipper system. Unfortunately, I can't find them in Malaysia.

    TCX makes a great boot. I have a wider foot size 12 and they have always fit me great.

    Have used these boots as a hot weather option paired with my Dainese Fulcrum C2 goretex boots which I used in cooler weather. Have been very pleased with them so far. Not full grain leather like the Fulcrums are, though, but pretty good value with the goretex

    Nice review. Thanks for that. I have been wearing my AStars Gran Torinos for years now and they are finally starting to show their age. Might be looking for new boots soon. These look like they may be a worthy replacement. I like that they are not as high as the Gran Torinos. I will be taking a closer look. Thanks again.

    I'd bet they'll be great for all seasons right?!! I'm currently looking at some ADV-style boots as well!

    I'm debating between these and the SMX 6 v2 gore-tex, thoughts?

      If you're mainly commuting and hit the occasional twisty roads on the weekends, I like the comfort and versatility of the Airtech's. They also hold up really well over time. If you're on a sportbike, plan to do the occasional track day, or just want a bit more coverage from a protection standpoint, the SMX 6 would be a better option with the equivalent WP capabilities. Just depends on what you're looking to do/what bike you're riding. Cheers! -Brandon

    I own some TCX footwear and they are great, but I'm thinking about a DCT Africa Twin. How do you like it?

    I currently wear the TCX Jupiter 4's and my only complaint about those is the tread. I've slipped a couple of times in parking lots.
    Is the tread on the Airtech Evo more or less the same sort of low profile makeup?

    • @brendonpeterlim9w6vx
      @brendonpeterlim9w6vx 3 роки тому +1

      Same here. Jupiter 4 is good except for the tread which can be slippery.
