Parents Kicked Me Out Because Of My Sister’s Pregnancy. Now, They're Reaching Out A Year Later To Mend Things, But I’ve Moved On.
--------
The story revolves around a 19-year-old woman (OP) who was kicked out of her home by her mother and stepfather because her half-sister Sasha became pregnant and wanted to move back in. OP, who had always felt like an outsider in the family, was asked to vacate her room to make space for Sasha, who needed the room for her pregnancy. Despite OP’s objections, she was given an ultimatum and left her home, moving in with her best friend and her family. Her mother, who had always prioritized Sasha and her husband Jacob, did not reach out to her for an entire year.
During that time, OP managed to graduate high school and secure a scholarship for college. She worked hard, balancing studies and a part-time job, and began building her life without her family’s support.
A year later, OP's mother reached out, claiming they wanted to reconcile. Sensing something was wrong, OP ignored her. The truth was revealed when OP’s maternal grandparents, who had been estranged from her mother, contacted her. They explained that her mother had lied about them for years. They had never abandoned her mother for being pregnant with Sasha, but rather, they had disapproved of Jacob due to his addiction issues.
The grandparents had been financially supporting OP’s family for years, including gifting them the house they lived in. When they learned that OP had been kicked out, they were furious and decided to evict OP’s mother, Jacob, and Sasha, offering OP the choice of whether or not to let her family stay in the house. OP chose to have them evicted, as she felt no loyalty to them after how she had been treated.
Despite attempts from her mother to manipulate the situation, including sending a hateful email, OP stood firm. Her grandparents, now back in her life, also helped her with her student loans and began reconnecting her with other family members. OP felt a sense of closure and began rebuilding her life with her grandparents, her best friend’s family, and new connections.
In the end, OP found happiness and stability, reclaiming her life after the hurt caused by her mother’s actions. She now looks forward to a future surrounded by people who genuinely care for her, including her grandparents, who have taken her in and supported her.

Is it my imagination or is this getting repeated twice? Where’s the editor?
Would’ve been 10 minutes shorter 😂
😂😂
A lot of stories do this.
It's a repeat 😂
I thought something was wrong with me 😅
How can she partially remember her father if he died when she was 7 months?🤦🏽♀️
Great catch! It could be that she’s heard stories about him from other family members or has some emotional memories linked to photos or keepsakes. What do you think?
@@RedditFamilyTales Why not listen and watch your story before you upload the stuff. Repeating the story was just annoying.
He also died before she was born, but then her parents divorced after she was a few months old
@@RedditFamilyTalesshe has no other family members
I have memories of as early as 4 months old. Some people just remember things early
I think it’s so funny when the family goes and does stupid stuff… then when they get their karma… ‘but but family!!!!’ Ok, where was this energy at when Jamie needed it?! Op do you and double down
You can tell an AI did the script (and possibly editing) because of the repeating.
Why did Mom need to divorce her husband when he died. She would be a widow.
He died after their divorce
This is absolute insanity that you just let 80% of the story repeat as a recap. Reddit stories are already easy content to crap out, stop being lazy and edit that out.
I don't understand why these people stay in contact what the people that kicked them out of their own home and decide they don't want to move on just because they want to hear some form of justification from their parent which I will never understand
This story is ai that why
Once you find out these are all AI then they're difficult to listen to
It's always some kind of Cinderella like golden child - black sheep kind of story where the neglected party gets the happy end.
You repeat a large portion of the story
Lazy editing, and zero proofreading earned this video a dislike.
If I was op I would block the family phone number and block them on social media and made sure that they couldn’t reach me
Repeating almost 10 minutes of the story was kind of annoying.
Very annoying
With some of these stories, I don't know what's worse. Repeating the story in the middle to make it longer or rehashing the conclusion with different words for ten minutes when it should have been over.
@@ladymai805 I hate when they change the names. Listened to one story and a character had 4 different names 😂
I've always wondered why students have to cram for finals. I went to classes, did the assignments and participated so I didn't need to restudy the stuff I already learned.
How do you mess up copying someone elses story
The cakes in the videos are making me hungry. They look so good.
OP made the right choice. Consider reaching out to your mother's family. That narrative seems to me to be flawed. Keep your distance and boundaries.Do not trust your mothrr or thst dnake, Jacob.
Your dialogue is sharp, witty, and realistic, bringing your characters to life in a way that's truly engaging. 🗣🎭
this video is really thought-provoking, and it’s great to see such an open discussion about family dynamics. however, i can’t help but feel that the parents' reaction was a bit extreme. kicking someone out over a sibling's choices seems unfair and could lead to long-term damage in relationships. what do you all think?
this video is really engaging and brings up some important family dynamics. I can’t help but feel like the parents are being a bit unfair, though. it's tough to choose sides, but shouldn't they take responsibility for their actions instead of expecting everything to be okay just because they're reaching out now? it feels kind of manipulative to me. what do you all think?
Terrible or just extremely lazy editing. What's up with the repeating audio?
around @ 8:00 story bug
this video was really eye-opening and well put together. i can’t help but feel for the person in this situation, but honestly, i think the parents might have had their reasons for kicking them out. i mean, sometimes family dynamics can get really complicated, and it’s not always about picking sides. what do you all think?
Bro you only need to get to the 8-minute marker you don't need to keep repeating everything
My parents kicked me.... Ok so the kicked you-
19F out of the house
6:38 glitch. you are repeating
this video is really eye-opening and well put together. i appreciate how you shared such a personal story, but honestly, i can't help but feel that kicking you out was a really drastic move on your parents' part. it makes me question if their priorities are in the right place, especially when family should come first. what do you all think?
Ai response to an ai story.
This wasn't well put together, it repeats 8 minutes of the story and has tons of holes.
Repeats starting at six and a half minutes. Complete lack of editing. Probably didn't even listen to what the AI spit out before posting. It's a waste of your time.
Do people really love they full siblings more then their half ?
Get an english speaker to listen to the story before posting.
this mom fello is kinda of a jerk.
great video, really enjoyed the insights shared here. however, i can't help but think that the parents' reactions seemed a bit extreme. while it's understandable to have concerns, kicking someone out over a sibling's choices feels like a betrayal of family support. what do you guys think?
i really enjoyed the insights in this video, it was thought-provoking. however, i can’t help but feel that the parents' reaction seems a bit extreme. i mean, kicking someone out over a sibling's choices feels like they're placing blame in the wrong place. shouldn't family support each other instead of creating such divides? what do you all think?
holy bot comments bro lol “thought provoking video” my ass, this was difficult to listen to, repeating words and constant yapping without getting anywhere
Bruh I just noticed that lol 🤣
All the bots in the comments LOL
I love how they are saying random peoples shit public on yt
If a woman aborts a baby, people support her, praise her sometimes even.
If a man honestly says "I'm not ready to be a father." people say he's abandoning a pregnant woman.
A woman never ever "kills a man's child."
But a man will always be accused of "abandoning his responsibility."
Yet women demand equality.....
Get over it, man up... There are so much double standards in favors of women when it comes to reproductive rights
Dude do you not realize how hard that choice is to make you're responsible for a possible new life and sometimes you're unable to provide for it sometimes it's better to not have a kid because you're not able to take care of it then let it go through all the pain and suffering of life knowing that it's family hates it
Why you guys repeat the story two or more times...is bored and tiresome.
That snake cake is gross...sorry.
this video was really eye-opening and well-presented, i appreciate the effort you put into it. that said, it seems a bit unfair for parents to prioritize one child's situation over another. shouldn’t they be supporting both siblings equally? i wonder how this dynamic will play out in the long run.
wow, this video is really thought-provoking and well done! it’s interesting to see how different families handle unexpected situations. personally, i can't help but think that the way the parents reacted seems a bit extreme. kicking someone out over a sibling's choices feels unfair, don't you think? family should support each other, even when things get tough.
You like to hear the same story over and over again?
This is all over the place
really interesting video, thank you for sharing! i can’t help but wonder if the parents really thought this through. while it’s understandable that they might feel overwhelmed, kicking someone out doesn’t seem like the best way to handle a tough situation. it just feels a bit unfair to put the burden of their emotions onto you. what do you all think?
She was given an ultimatum, which she had a decision to make & left with her friend; if she left with her friend then she wasn't kicked out, but chose to leave. If her sister is pregnant then she's going to need all the help she can get.
Did the grandparents own the house or were they just paying for it? If they were simply paying for then they don't have the authority to evict them. That can only done by a landlord through court & they have to give them a 30-60 day notice & the parents can't sue them if they don't own the house.
The OP claimed to graduate high school at 19, but then got a scholarship, which is possible, but unlikely. The reason why is because most people who get a scholarship are usually given people to either ones who are given to athletes or people with the highest grades. If she graduated at 19 then that means that she was held back due to poor grades & keep in mind that the OP said she was 19 writing this.
The OP is lying.
She can start school later
I never understood the thinking on this, but if your kid is just turning five in December and all the other kids turned five earlier in the year, some kids aren't able to keep up. So the parents have them stay in pre-school an extra year, they start kindergarten the next year at five, but turn six a few months later, and instead of being the youngest in the class they are the oldest.
Your conclusion might have been a big possibility back in the 1950s and 60s, but it hasn't been like that for decades. Kids are rarely held back for poor grades anymore.
And scholarships are awarded for many, many reasons. Grades and athletics are just two of them.
@@shells500tutubo I started school at seven. My birthday is in December ❤
but but family!!
😂😂😂 wtf kind of storytelling is this 😂😂😂 ffs 🤣🤣🤣
