I must admit that the variety and size of your US fleet is simply stunning! ;) These locomotives and tenders are enormous! My heart always beats faster when I see Big Boy;)
Great video and review. I must have said this now so many times on other videos comment sections that show the H-7, but I cannot wait for Lionel to release this again and with some more smoke affects. Instant pre-order from me if they ever do. It'll probably have 7-9 different railroads and paint schemes to choose from the way they are going. Thanks for sharing.
They’re incredible engines, very unique. I’m not sure why but they didn’t sell well when released in 2014. Could be because that catalog was STACKED with the vision big boy, M1a, polar express, AC-12, Mikes, S2, and Y3. They might’ve just got lost in the catalog.
The chuffing sounds on the JLC version are out of sync. Lionel articulated steamers from the 2000's were notorious for having that problem. I won't ever buy that one. I'm looking for this one. This is a gorgeous engine.
@@DynamicDuo795 I’ve never noticed the chuff being out of sync, but you could be right. Could easily be fixed with a new cam or a chuff generator install.
Wow that thing is a monster. When I visited the B&O Museum and saw the Alleghany I didn't realize how big those were either. Personally I think alot of the older Lionel TMCC Rail Sounds 5 sound much better than most of the newer Legacy. The TMCC seems to have better bass in the sounds and better whistles. If I were to buy steam I would look at the TMCC first.
Weathering trains is not for everybody. I do some weathering here in México and I do it on my trains because I model Nacionales de Mexico. Just with the custom painting, an engine loses value in the States, so I like also to weather them. That engine is a masterpiece . And I think it has better sound. Great catch.
Big boy *sweats nervously*
I am sooooooooooooooooo jealous of this engine man!! great video!

Rick’s Trains & Materials,
Great video and review again.
Thank you!
Cool video Eric I enjoyed it
Thank you for watching
Both beautiful locomotives. I do feel the older one has the better sounds. -RTT
Agreed!
I really want one of those locos. Such good looking locos.
I really like them as well. That tender is so unique
We are going to start calling you King of Steam, haha. Great review. I think I like the JLC sounds better! Haha.

I’ll take the title! 😂 but totally agreed on the JLC sounds

Very cool engine. I don’t know if I prefer the weathered or fresh version, both are very cool. I agree, keep both.
Thank you! It’d be hard to part with either so keeping both for now

I totally agree Dakman. Some of those RS5 sounds are hard to beat

Thank you it is interesting how they loose value after being weathered
@@erictrainman And also is sad. Weathering is AN ART by itself. You should do a video on the subject. It will be very interesting.
