    Cloth ranks do not belong on the Class A jacket. Ask your instructor for brass ranks. The cloth ranks are to be worn on the grey shirt to indicate rank if your jacket is taken off

      We don't use brass ranks because retards like to steal them and get some money off of them

Excellent video Sir and easy to follow and helpful. Sir I wished I researched videos like this when I first entered my School it would have saved Me a few smoke sessions.. Sir everything needs to be impeccable don't BS

    Hey good job! But we were told that arcs needed to be centered and 1/8 of an inch apart. But you look good! Keep up your good work, the amount of awards you have now compared to your first video is amazing!!!

      If you really want to stack up on ribbons, volunteer for whatever you can. I'm not sure how things are going now since COVID, but march in those parades if you have them. Do community service with your battalion. If you haven't already, start getting in shape so you can earn your PT ribbons. If your school has after-school JROTC programs like drill team, rifle team, or Raiders I would definitely do those. If you really want to get in shape, go with Raiders (because I was a Raider and I'm biased). When it comes to making rank, our school had us do some kind of evaluation. They asked us about squad and platoon marching, reciting the Creed and Chain of Command, colors detail, and more stuff if you wanna go the Staff route (which is officer/senior enlisted)

    Hey I'm a freshman so I'm new to JROTC. What advice would you give me to be successful such as rewards, working up in rank and just basic leadership?

    • @CamJam312
      @CamJam312  5 років тому +3

      A big thing that helped me a lot was to just go up to my instructor and ask for any opportunities such as field trips for a field training ribbon. Also ask a lot of questions about activities and such. Not only doing good but exceeding the minimum on your PT tests and Cadet Challenges will help you get more ribbons. For general leadership, just set the example for others. Keep your grades up and put in the effort. Also, don't swear a lot 😂. All of that ties in with ranking up. If you're given an opportunity, take it. I'm a C/SFC right now and just a few days ago they offered me if I'd like to take the C/SGM position next year just because I like to help other cadets stay motivated and keep their uniforms looking straight. I know this is like an entire essay, but I hope this helps you out and gives you some advice....and sorry for the late reply, lol

      datboisboi do any and everything that you can! In my battalion, we rank up by getting merits points. Merit points come from doing drill meets, acing inspections, etc. you do EVERYTHING you can, and you will be rewarded for it at some point. Also, a good leader is a good follower. When you first start, watch your squad leaders, platoon sergeants, team captains and all of that. Learn from what they do and read up on your roles and responsibilities and you will be good!! I never thought that I would get anywhere at first because I was breaking my neck for JROTC and I still had a blank uniform, but I just had to be patient!! After 2 years I started getting lots of awards and positions like Drill Team Captain, Assistant Battalion S-3 and even Company Commander! So just do all you can and sit back and watch the awards roll in.

      Our program is starting something new next year. There are going to be inspection boards for every NCO and Officer ranks. For example, a sergeant first class must be able to recite the Cadet Creed and march an entire platoon. And a Command Sergeant Major, I have to know how to do the Ceremonial Flag Detail. Just study up on the responsibility of your next upcoming rank. Our program may be a little different from yours but it doesn't hurt to get all the info you can get

    • @janeicehenderson8572
      @janeicehenderson8572 5 років тому

      CamJam 312 true!! Because it never hurts to know more than you need! And I honestly like how y’all do it, I miss the promotion boards because a lot of times if a student in command doesn’t like you, the won’t write you down for your points, so lots of people get held off from promotions they deserve.
