I absolutely love this video! Every once in a while, I think Nana and Sarah need to sit down together and have a conversation. I felt like I was sitting at the table with you.❤
What a great interview! I miss my mom & daughter so much, they have both been gone for 4 yrs now. What great encouragement to cultivate a relationship with my daughter in-laws. Blessings to both of you! 🤗💞
I loved this conversation. There is nothing like a mother daughter relationship. I love my relationship with my Mom. She is now 94 and I am so grateful that we are able to FaceTime every day. Especially seeing that she lives 2000 Kim’s away.
"Looking at their hearts'' really makes a lot of sense and it comes from understanding and maturity. I got to learn and ponder on these things. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. God bless you all!❤❤
Okay hear me out. If the two of you had a podcast I would listen to every single episode. There is such a hunger in need for practical down-to-earth everyday life, wisdom and encouragement.
Nana and Sarah this is so good to see. My mom was so private about her life and I think it was because she was hiding a lot of pain. I would have loved for her to confide in me and for us to have gotten to a place to really communicate like you guys are doing. Thank you both for sharing.
❤ thank you Nana and Sarah I really enjoyed this video you and your mom’s talking. Y’all are great friends. You have an amazing mom and dad. God bless Nana, Papa Sarah and your families. Love you guys.❤
Beautiful conversation. Thank you girls. I'm glad you celebrate your relationship. I am 1 of 5 girls, our relationship with our parents is good also, I am thankful for that.
Thanks for sharing, I’m 60 and don’t have a great relationship with my mom. I appreciate you saying to see her heart and give grace. Thank you for that and God Bless!😊
Oh what wonderful statement!when we question someone. To look at their heart. Thank you for that. I will take it to heart. God bless. That was a very enjoyable video.
It’s wonderful that you have such a loving, healthy and respectful relationship. While I’ve never had or experienced that from my family of origin, who I’m fortunate to be free of for the last sixteen years, it is something that I very purposely work on cultivating with my own daughter and it makes all the difference in the world!
I say to this day, that the first thing I noticed about my husband was his heart! After almost 40 years, I still see his heart! I miss my mom 😢 I absolutely adore and respect your mutual love and friendship! You are so Blessed to have so many elders in your family! I Pray and hold you all so deeply in my Heart and Prayers🙏🏻🕊✝️🌸♥️
This really touched my heart i have one daughter and one son . My daughter is 29 and will be getting married Sept.1 so happy and excited about 2 years ago she told me Mom thank you for being strick when i was growing up because now we can be best friends of course i cried .
What a beautiful conversation to have between Momma and Daughter. Nana you don't ever need any excuse/reason to come up for a visit. My mom has been in heaven for 26 years. I miss her! I'm blessed knowing one day will be together. Plus I see her traits in my niece, my daughter and in my 10 year old granddaughter. Big hugs, prayers and loves always!
My 2 daughters are my best friends ❤❤❤. My son has his wife and 2 daughters and a son due in September . He is a wonderful husband and dad .he is my beautiful ( boy ) 😊. His best friend is his wife .. and I love that 😊❤I call my daughter/in law my bonus Daughter , i love her so much
Lots of love equals one heart.❤ I love you two beautiful ladies! We need more talks with Susan and Sarah. If, I may ask, please say a prayer for my husband, he has cancer that is incurable and doctors have told me to keep him comfortable. I'm 67 and James is 79. Esophageal cancer. Thank you.❤🙏🙏🙏
I really loved this. I wish i had a mlm that i could talk to and maybe she would give me advice that i didnt want to hear. Im so glad you two love each other and have a beautiful relationship. God bless
Such a joy seeing you two together chatting!! I am thankful that I have a good relationship with my daughter even though she lives in Florida and we live in N.J!
" I see her heart". Sara, that is a profound statement. You have given me a lot to think about, with this seemingly simple statement. I am enjoying this mother daughter chat with you and your mom. Its also reopening a painful place in my heart, because I never had a mother or mother figure in my life, which has caused me tremendous emotional pain to this day. Anyway, I truly enjoyed this video. Have a blessed day😃!
Me and my daughter were always very close she was a mama's girl! But then she hit 13/14 and my sweet girl disappeared replaced by this child that hated me!! But now she's 23 and expecting her first baby and we are close again but man those teenage years were rough 😂😂
It is fun to watch Sarah and you because I am your age and my daughter is a Sarah also she is about same age too- There is only 2 grands. My daughter and I are great friends, we think a lot alike too. Papa's kitchen is delightful. I also like to hear him preach.
You ladies are such beautiful people, Inside and out! I have enjoyed this channel as well as all your family's channels. Have a wonderful time all through your week. Blessings from southern Indiana USA. 🎬🎥📺
I follow both the papas kitchen and our tribe of many. Just wanted to truly thank you for doing this video. You gave an honest look at your relationship with Sarah. I hope to quiet my motherly instinct to provide advice as you have and listen more. Good advice as a mother of adults(my daughters are 26 and 30) to try to wait for them to ask you before you provide advice. Very hard thing to do. Tysm again. Love watching the cooking but hope you continue to do these type of videos too.
I love listening to Papa because he makes me laugh and reminds me of my dad, who I miss terribly. But I love listening to Susan and Sarah too! Susan brings such a calmness to situations. Love your family! I live in Omaha and I always hope that some day I will be able to meet your family in person! Thanks for your content!
Thank you for this video. On your age, Susan. I did not have much of an adult relationship with my mother. She now gone, but sends me messages from heaven all the time. I find pennies everywhere I go.
You are so correct about the beautiful traditional clothing in Ghana. I spent time in a remote village near Yeji last summer and fell in love with the bright colors and fabric patterns. I had dresses made for myself which are beautiful reminders of the lovely ladies, young and old, in the village of Aviahekope.
Great job Nana. I'm around your age and enjoy watching you and Papa. I have a husband who has a sense of humor like Papa so I'm praying for ya girl 😂😂💜
You two are just the sweetest and love that you had this discussion ❤ I think more moms and daughters and grandmothers should have deep conversations and reflections more 😊
Beautiful conversation. I had a wonderful close relationship with my beloved mom and miss our chats great. I always wanted a daughter to have a hopefully similar relationship with then I was blessed with two boys. Xx
What a heartwarming video. I had that kind of relationship with my own sweet Mom, we were each other's best friend, and even though she has been gone 9 years now, I can honestly say she is the best friend I ever had. I love to watch the both of you together.
Loved this video always great hearing from Nana. You two have the bond my momma and I had miss her every minute of every day. So blessed to still have grandma 97 is amazing.
Nice conversation between you and your mom. All of my family is with Jesus, except for my sister and I. Our relationship with our mom was certainly an evolution over time. Some good times, some less than. Much was related to family issues at the time. But as my sister became a mother, and I grew older, our relationship changed for the better. We talked more and shared more. Our relationship became sweeter when mom developed dementia. Some very precious memories were made during that difficult time. It wasn’t all bad. But what I find most interesting, as my sister and I reminisce about our childhood, is the different ways that we recall the same incident in our lives. Often it is in stark contrast. Neither of us is right or wrong, it’s just our own unique perspective on the way things were perceived. When mom was alive, and we had these conversations, her take would often be very different from ours as well.
I hope to have this kind of relationship with my daughter when she's older. We're really close now but I'm realistic about our dynamics will change when she get married and has her own children.
This was a great talk! What’s funny when you do a table talk with Papa that’s what you get Papa talking! He is hilarious! So much fun! Do a table talk with Luke and then Jill…..Nana talk….
I’m close to Nana’s age. I am constantly thinking about my mom at my age or my son’s age. It really has helped me put things into perspective at times ❤
I just love the two of you together I wish my mama was still here we were the besties of friends and I want to be friends with my daughters that was always the plan in my life but they hurt my feelings
So Papa is in Ghana! I wonder where? We lived 4 years in Northeastern Ghana, near the Togo and Burkina Faso borders (And there are tales to tell of that!) I loved the people, the weather, so many things about the country. My experience there was so much more pleasant than our years in Chad. Blessings on his time there. I enjoyed your sharing together, but I enjoy your channel in general, anyway. Loved the Kenya trip!!
I feel this! My oldest is 24 with his own family and my youngest will be 8 on Monday. It does feel like the busiest season of my life and people told me I had my hands full when I only had 3 boys! My husband is an elder in our family-integrated church. My relationship with my mom is a struggle, at times. I try not to be too nosy or opinionated with my older kids. I will never have want of things to do or people to love, like you!😅
I would love it if you would do a Table Talk about Mother-in-law and daugher-in-law relationships.
I LOVE that Nana’s talk time is happening! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Perfect Pastor Wives. I love your mom, so calming and pure love❤
Nana’s “I’m glad we’re friends”statement really warms my heart because that is the kind of relationship I have with my mom and with my daughter. 💕💕🥰
