@@narwolf1899 unfortunately not even just the students but also the parents. It really wouldn’t. You choose to go to college and professors get to deal with adults (with exceptions of people who are adults and act like children). Meanwhile highschool and the lower grades are pretty much a place to tame feral children.
@@dionagona8205 taming feral children is not a teachers job, it’s the parents. I know that unfortunately a lot of parents don’t get that. Teachers are there to teach and already don’t get payed enough for that at least if you don’t go to a fancy private school. I spent 8 months abroad and had the chance to go to a fancy private school for that time and the difference was shocking. The teachers get payed way more and don’t get payed by the state but the tuition fees, which the parents pay. This resulted in them being less frustrated (you know better pay and all) and they were a lot more invested in actually teaching each and every student, because the parents were basically the employer and expecting results for the amount of money they payed. Here I often felt like some teachers didn’t care if you were keeping up, or even failing. I study college Japanese through dual enrollment. My high school English teachers bitches about how college profs won’t tolerate the bullshit we do. Here I am singing songs in Japanese for the class
That's completely and entirely true. I get tired from even the routine school puts you through. It didn't help having to debate with teachers over the fact that I didn't have enough of a say in my own 5O4 plan.
I was literally choking in class once, and my teacher stood there and tapped her foot and actually said "I'm waiting for you to stop interrupting the class". I couldn't even tell her how stupid that was because I was literally almost on the floor with the desk having fallen over slightly from how hard I was coughing. Other kids were literally getting up to see if I was okay, and most of them didn't even like me because I was the quiet kid in class. It took me about 10 minutes to finally catch my breath, and she still wouldn't let me go get water even though the water fountain was literally across from the door. So glad they bulldozed that school.
This is so true. I do Dual enrollment and I always find it funny when the high school teachers say they are preparing you for college, but my college professors are so much more relaxed
Really I think the main reason college professors are the most relaxed is because they are dealing with adults who chose to be in the class so it's overall much less stressful than being a K-12 teacher.
It is to an extent, it depends on your professor. Some professors show the attitude in the video but give you a 60, and some will give you a 90 even tho they are strict. Overall, I enjoyed uni much more than high school.
It’s really what you make of it! If you build a good relationship with the faculty/TAs and communicate with them when you’re struggling, they’re wayyyyy more flexible than the majority of high school teachers. Not so much if you only show up for exams and do the bare minimum, though. Since attendance isn’t like K12 school (where you have to go to court if you miss a certain amount), a lot of students literally only show up for exams, or don’t talk in class, or don’t do the homework, or overall show they don’t care. But students who do their best are more likely to succeed, even if they’re WILDLY confused about the content. One of my majors was Philosophy and the math class I took was a formal logic class through the Philosophy department and it was really, really hard for me bc I’m not great with numbers. But my professor saw how hard I was working and helped as much as possible so I’d pass. And they’re pretty cool too, at one point during COVID Zoom class my professor took a massive bong rip and then said, “anyway, today we’re starting Descartes on the mind”.
Best math course ever was with my fav professor who was extremely mild mannered yet eager to help. He explained in the beginning of class he understood everyone learns differently so if showing up is what you need then please do if not that’s cool too just turn in the online work. I am an in person learner so I showed up with about 6 others and the atmosphere was extremely chill.
@@karlmarks7490 not true. Noted that even IVY league school still have a lot of care for their students, even if they have extremely high expectations. A LOT more slides in ANY university than even the shittiest high school.
college professor : “anyone want tea ? anyone want tea? “ me in the back of the class: “ALL I WANT IS SWEET TEA AND ILL SHUT UP FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!!”
This has everything to do with incentives. Teaching undergrads has become a service industry in many colleges. Public high school teachers generally work for the school.
During COVID i was in dual-enrollment and my history professor said “look guys, as long as you turn your stuff in by the end of the week and do exams on time, you still get the attendance credit. You don’t need to show up to the lessons because I record them.”
Seriously I feel like this is accurate the high school facs teacher sent me to the office becuase she was taking shit about my sister and friends in class to us and I confronted her. The principal who was a collage teacher was just so chill about it.
I depend on staring at a ceiling during work and tests, i look at the ceiling, not someone else or down (so it doesnt loost like im on my phone) and cuz some people like me get hyper focused. It can cause headaches, eyeaches and dizziness when snapped out, its also painful for anyone to be thinking and having so many words on a paper, your eyes naturally read anything it sees. and so it can be distracting not being able to look away
This is so true lmao. I did college classes and high school classes, literally the college teachers r so much more human and the high school teachers r like wardens
High Schoolers are animals. College Undergrads are partially vetted by the admissions tests, and are paying to be there… so they tend to be decent folks. When you don’t need to control the classroom, life is so much easier and you can rely on mutual respect to get shit done.

@@ultrametro254 My middle school did that, they’re called “Test Corrections” and you get half the points back for each question your correct.

most of the teachers at my high school aren’t serious about school. they’re surprisingly pretty chill about things. my chemistry teacher didn’t even grade papers half of the times 😭
“It’s just a character, it’s just a character…”
Kyle: **dying**
Teacher: Just wait im almost done
*nearly done with that class*

Sent this to my dad who’s a high school teacher and he said
“Jokes on you. I don’t care what my students do anymore!! 😂”
I feel like most everybody don't care bout much anymore after the abomination that was the year 2020
This reminds me that once I had a really bad cold, and something was in my throat that made me feel like I couldn’t breathe, but my water bottle was empty and my teacher wouldn’t let me fill it up

I really want a collage teacher as nice as this the nice one I don’t have 😭
What I’ve learned:
High school: professors in collage won’t tolerate this
College: ok guys I have a hangover so we are just going to watch a UA-cam video and then you guys can leave
Edit: holy- wow this blew up
I dont think anyone ever went to collage. But im thinking about going to college
@@PrimeAjAnimates lmao
Today we will watch all marvel movies because I don’t feel well
@@TheLaziestOfNerds wish that would happen tbh
Or they'll just cancel class
I’ve never been to college and don’t plan to but the college teacher here looks so wholesome
If my future college professors offer tea at the beginning of class, the crippling student debt will be worth it
This is seriously accurate lol 😂. When I first started college one of the most amazing things to me was that if I needed to use the bathroom I could just…leave…
Bro I'm still in highschool, our grade in class is hurt every time we have to go to the bathroom...
@@beaterofeggs Uhhh that should be illegal tbh
@@beaterofeggs bruh that is awful.
@@alexreid1173 that’s not illegal. Go before or after, most people don’t have emergencies so often that it would completely ruin their grades. Still seems dumb though.
Probably because you are an adult now but yeah. My highschool specifically has rly strict bathroom pass rules and it sucks.
Then the high school teacher goes: I'm just prepping you for college, it won't be this laid back
Literally they always say “it won’t be this laid back” but everyone else says different 💀💀💀
My teachers used to say this too and yeah there are some professors who are strict, but the rest are chill as hell. I can literally count the number of strict professors that I’ve had so far
@@Ayan57679 yeah, it's funny as hell. I was stressed out of my mind because of the expectations I had, but I show up and like, the teachers just... Don't care.
Exactly this! It was either "we're preparing you for college" or "we're preparing you on how to get a job" absolute bullshit
One professor had a super last attendance policy- missed 10 days and still made an A. Another professor actually brought a kettle to class and we absolutely had tea the whole time, as well as mini breakdowns as we discussed our own SPED issues. Great class. Great teacher. Still use her as a reference.
These videos make me less stressed about college tysm
I did a concurrent class this year and I could just tell the difference of how the teachers act, and I never met that professor in person, it was an online class.

This makes me feel a little less stressed about college, thanks
Depends on where you go or what subjects you study
In my experience stuff like upping exam points or canceling lessons doesn't usually happen but also there is almost no required hw (3 tasks per class) and you really don't have to show up
It's more of a "responsibility is on you if you want to learn"
Same!!!
Why is this series getting me excited about college 😭
This man would be a great teacher
High school teacher: “that won’t fly in college”
Me in college: ✈️✈️

Middle school and high school teachers are like “And don’t think they’ll go even easier on you in college so you better start now!”
*Meanwhile the college professors being super chill*

I study college Japanese through dual enrollment. My high school English teachers bitches about how college profs won’t tolerate the bullshit we do.
Here I am singing songs in Japanese for the class
Now from what I hear from my sibling who is in college the professors seem really chill
It’s funny cuz all the math Scott talks about for high schoolers is what I learned in 7th grade as an honors student.
"Education comes first!" More like Torture comes first instead of Mental Health
I can agree with that in College... Idk i'm not in College. And I won't be. I'll be playing life on hard mode.
Yup 😀 this is fine with "schools" ATP u can't even call them schools
Wtf
"The test answers AREN'T on the ceiling"
"Academic integrity"
But its full integrity, I'm looking where there are no answers??
Its the fact that our high school is the opposite of most ones…
This is so true. I do Dual enrollment and I always find it funny when the high school teachers say they are preparing you for college, but my college professors are so much more relaxed
Really I think the main reason college professors are the most relaxed is because they are dealing with adults who chose to be in the class so it's overall much less stressful than being a K-12 teacher.
High school teacher: education.
College teacher: Wreckless but some support.
At my school, the Middle School is like the High School and the High School is practically the College
The high school stuff is things I learned in 7th grade. Education has really changed.
Even if this isn’t like how college is, this makes me excited to go anyways
It is to an extent, it depends on your professor. Some professors show the attitude in the video but give you a 60, and some will give you a 90 even tho they are strict. Overall, I enjoyed uni much more than high school.
The better of the school/degree the less accurate this skit is
It’s really what you make of it!
Bro I’m still in middle school and I’VE learned how to factor polynomials
What are polynomials

Same I already learned them
Well, now I can’t wait for college like the teachers look so amazing!
These videos are always incredibly Accurate
can confirm, college is more stressful than highschool, but the teachers are faaar more relaxed
You forgot to make the high school teacher say: “I don’t like being this hard on you but it’s my job to get you ready for college.”

Ok, I wish the exam thing in college was true though
High school teacher: at least I care, your college teachers aren't going to care about you
Also college teacher:
Your making me cry when I remember I have highschool for 4 more years 😭
These videos get me excited for college even though I'm in high school 😂😂
This has everything to do with incentives. Teaching undergrads has become a service industry in many colleges. Public high school teachers generally work for the school.
During COVID i was in dual-enrollment and my history professor said “look guys, as long as you turn your stuff in by the end of the week and do exams on time, you still get the attendance credit. You don’t need to show up to the lessons because I record them.”
My teachers in high school are like the collage professer in this video
Highschool: only water is allowed in class!
College: anyone want some tea?
Y'know
I'm getting my hopes up but then I remembered that this is the Philippines
lmfao
Seriously I feel like this is accurate the high school facs teacher sent me to the office becuase she was taking shit about my sister and friends in class to us and I confronted her. The principal who was a collage teacher was just so chill about it.
Ngl you make college look so easy
Looking at the ceiling gives my mind a refresher sir
When you don’t need to control the classroom, life is so much easier and you can rely on mutual respect to get shit done.
well the high school teachers are liable for your well-being while you're in school so they're gonna be stricter.
Yo! This gets me hyped for college
I’m a junior in high school. If this is anything like it really is in college, then I’m in for a treat. 😭❤️

trust me, u’ll love college, my brother always told me that college was way better and yes, it is, on an average u’ll have 4hrs of class per day, isn’t that cool, also, most professors dont even teach early, they attend the class at like 10am, so u can spend ure entire night watching netflix
