I'm sure it's for the same perfectly justifiable reason they didn't include Ranmaru in this Oda-centric game. A shame no one ever said what that reason was.

For the odachi moveset, it’s pretty generic, it doesn’t look all that strong, but until you get all the moveset, it’s a powerhouse. The odachi is a simple yet strong weapon basically. For Nobunaga… he’s literally the best character in the game not only with his unique charge and skills, but he also has this shockwave kind of thing if you keep pressing the triangle string when you use your charge attacks and ultimate skills. Once you get it right, Nobunaga literally becomes the most overpowered character in the entire game. However, in order to unlock this, you have to unlock his mature self and it’ll be in the skill tree… for Kenshin, he’s not as overpowered as Nobunaga, but he’s still a solid character. Strong unique charge attacks and pretty good ultimate skills and musous, you can’t go wrong with Kenshin.
I don't know, but i think SW5 Kenshin + Shingen moveset and weapons is something i like for, quite better than previous one. Even i know it's just another clones or something. But i already have that feel since Dynasty Warriors 4, so it should doesn't leave any problem right now. Although i agree that Mitsuhide shouldn't join this one. Give me a flashback about him in SW3 (but that one is much worse, since he's more like a lifeless robot that getting controlled by Ieyasu and i don't even understand what's the purpose to put Mitsuhide in Sekigahara on that time).
clones are the bane of every warriors game like ever! clones make most characters not unique at all and therefore makes it pointless to play as those characters because most of the characters share the same moveset i mean SW5 is a reboot to the franchise but koei instead made clones of almost all the characters if you want to give them the same weapons then MAKE THEIR CHARGE ATTACKS UNIQUE FROM EACH OTHER GODDAMIT!!! but noooooo instead koei doesnt even bother themselves to make unique charge attacks for each character
They did tho? Each character gets 2 unique charge attacks and it’s similar to the ps2 era dw games. As for me, I don’t personally care about the clones, the gameplay is just so much fun I’ll give it a pass. This game goes for quality over quantity argueably imo
@@jeremydean1718 for me personally i like variety in my characters because it gives me a reason to play them and it makes the character unique to play as. i know that they do get 2 unique charge attacks but thats it tho like only 2 unique charge attacks and thats it i mean yea its good but i think that they should have just made everyones charge attacks unique because it wont feel like you're playing the same character get what i mean? i understand that some people in the warriors community are ok with clones but for me personally i loathe and despise clones from the bottom of my heart the only exception is that cloned weapons are ok so long as charge attacks are unique and different from each character like for example like how they did unique charge attacks for the DW7 characters which decloned the DW7 characters.

Imo, samurai warriors 5 is the best when it comes to clones. Sure, you have shared movesets, but not only do you have an option to change weapons, have unique charge attacks not just in the ground, but in the air and horse, you can also change your skills to your liking. You can pretty much change the skills on characters and it can sorta be a different experience, I really like this and I really do think koei went with quality over quantity with this one
@@jeremydean1718 true there are also unique charge attacks for air and horse but i wish that koei could have done more with them and only a very few characters have a unique air or horse attacks and yes you can change your weapon if you dont like it on a specific character but there is only one slot soooooo theres no point. i mean if koei gave the option for 2 weapon slots then it makes sense but having only one weapon slot makes no sense so might as well just use that characters specific favored weapon instead. sure cloned movesets are as half assed in this game compared to DW9 and a few and they do have a unique charge attack but they're more like an ex attack since you can only pull off those moves unless it's equipped to that specific character.
The drastic change in the character designs make most of them unfamiliar for the fans who have been playing all previous SW games. This is more like Sengoku Basara with slightly updated SW4's UI.

Honestly, I much prefer the sw5 versions of Kenshin and Shingen. Kenshin is now just so much fun, I personally found him boring and for Shingen, I really love this version of him, I do miss the old version, but this version is pretty good. Too bad about the clones tho, but eh I don’t personally care about them.

Kenshin is more agressive in this game and Shingen doesn't respect his enemies anymore, he is not that short charismatic old man anymore
