the items in the game are so interesting and some of them are incredibly impactful in combat. itemization isnt always the strong point of dnd rpgs but this game did it well. my favorite so far is the whispering promise ring which casts bless for 2 turns on targets you heal. Staff of arcane blessing's wording is a bit misleading: the mystra's blessing effect is 1d4 not 2d4 so casters get a total of 2d4 not 3d4.

Fun fact, In Act 2 Barcus Wroot sells a ring that states "While you wear this ring you are considered a construct" meaning Light of Creation no longer stuns you. You can also get an extremely good Greatsword at the beggining of the game. The last fight on the Mindflayer ship, the boss guy with wings has a really good sword. You don't even need to kill him, you just need to use Shadowheart, switch one of her spells out for the Command spell and Command the boss to drop his weapon. For whatever reason he never picks it up if you do that so you can easily pick it up and leave without bothering to fight him. Though even if he did pick it up, that would still be on his turn so you would still have plenty time to steal it from him

HMMM, I don't have a playthrough to check this but I will work on it. There is a ring you pickpocket off a bard that casts bless on all characters you heal. I wonder if the Staff of Arcane blessing will cast this enhanced bless whenever you heal.
Hey if you don't mind me asking, where are you getting that passive radiant damage effect from? Is it from a spell or a class or something cuz I haven't seen that yet and it looks interesting. If you don't mind I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you enjoying the video and good luck!
I unfortunately blasted the Drow near the Spectator into the chasm, losing the piece of Mourning Frost he had for good (and didn't even realize he did carry a piece of this until I found his two brothers later on and looked up what the pieces actually do, and I had progressed too far to where I didn't want to redo everything I had done to that point). Thankfully I was playing a Paladin that wouldn't really use it, and my current party comp wouldn't really make full use of it anyhow. BUT I do have a second, Draconic Sorcerer character who I'm building up as an ice mage (White Dragon ancestry), so they can make full use of it themselves.
In the monastery if you take the dawnmaster's crest you gain it for as long as you have it, I think. Although I preferred to use it to get the legendary mace for shadowheart in the basement

You forgot to mention phanlar avule is one of only TWO longswords in the game thay has the finesse property. Dual wield that baby on a dex character for great effect!! The other is larethians wrath
I was just doing shit for Balthazar Thorm when I saw the ice pieces in my bag. Had totally forgotten all about them
You can also get an extremely good Greatsword at the beggining of the game. Though even if he did pick it up, that would still be on his turn so you would still have plenty time to steal it from him
I'll have to do that when I start my Dragonborn Paladin.
for mourningfrost, right when i teleported to the sussur tree waypoint the 2nd guy (filro) showed up with a hook horror and attacked me so i didnt even have to hunt for him
Glad to see videos like this can’t wait for more was also happy to know I found most of these just by playing
Yup I missed the very first one. Great ring for me since I don't bring Astarion with me in this playthrough.
Note:
Phallar Aluve is THE ONLY Versatile + Finesse LONGSWORD available in the game.
Which means it is THE ONLY LONG SWORD you can use for DEX build character
I always find these videos hilarious. It's literally going to every place and searching for treasures, then combined with, let's kill every NPC and see what they drop.
never knew the ring would take me to basement, i just saw there was a way down after i activated the power in the tower and sent down a mage hand to open the "hidden" door XD
you can get silver sword of the astral plane in act 1 too, better version of soulbreaker
Every party definatly does not need a healer, in fact having someone for just ressing people before they die using healing word is probably the optimal way of doing things.
you missed out silver sword of the astral plane you can get in Act 1. that's the best weapon for laezel
not sure if it was a bug, but i received a second phalar eluve from a fight in act 2 where you have to fight copies of your party, i also had dual weilder feat if that matters
I was playing with my friends today and we found the secret entrance and solved the puzzle to get the first legendary item, it's still from act one
A lot more Legend of Drizzt references then I was expecting in this game. Guessing one (or more) of the devs is a fan. 🤔
Well I didn't know that these 3 ice items Could be combined to that strong weapon! Even I did have them all in my envantory
HMMM, I don't have a playthrough to check this but I will work on it. There is a ring you pickpocket off a bard that casts bless on all characters you heal. I wonder if the Staff of Arcane blessing will cast this enhanced bless whenever you heal.
Phalur aluve is finesss. I had Astorian backstabbing with it.
For #9 I actually used box to raise myself and jumped to the bottom took 40dmg but I didn't need ring.
funny thing the only thing on this list i didn't know was the smugglers ring and the basement and iv cleared that tower many times
that githyanki sword from voss is intense
Command > Drop the Rider of the Red dragon near mountain pass gets you a legendary 2h sword~
Thanks for the info, but will you be making a similar video for Act II items and gear?
Thanks for the video❤
Protip, use shatter on the constructs😉
Also protip you can avoid fighting them entirely just by reading the books in the tower
#3 if your a warlock or shadow heart you'll get other choices past strength
To add to the next video, :caustic band - fetish of callanduran - amulet of restoration
For the soulbreaker greatsword I wonder if you can command drop weapon and just steal it without killing anyone
7:38 no. You do not need a healer. Potions, short rests, long rests, all do just fine. Having a dedicated healer is often a waste
Hey if you don't mind me asking, where are you getting that passive radiant damage effect from? Is it from a spell or a class or something cuz I haven't seen that yet and it looks interesting. If you don't mind I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you enjoying the video and good luck!
WTF i didnt think to talk to the mind frayer since his friend is marked as a ventor and sells a few good thinks, thx
surprised with entry nr 10, cuz its in another region, and also then you'd expect the legendary weapon to also be included with the lvl 6 spell.
Swalloooooow!!!! Fucking split... i fell sorry for his mic))
What about the blood of lathander and everything from the adamantine forge? Thats all act 1 as well.
Do not sleep on the adamantium forge, armors it crafts are purple
The names of quest givers would be a really nice touch.
The tiara that gives 17 INT its broken for me, because my character had 8 intelligence
Is there any way to make a Twink in BG3 ? Like how to get high level equipment to a 1st level character ? Grouping ?
"a fight I won't spoil more than necessary"
SHOWS THE BEHOLDER DEAD BODY
Lae'zel, we're killing your leader. *lae'zel disapproves greatly* So you can get an amazing sword *lae'zel is conflicted but approves greatly*
hey rage , just PRESS the + to get a beter hotbar lol
It really sad that the stealthy helmet is light armor instead of just cloth, so shadow monks can't use them to look cool :(. Fashion is hard
I sold the Icy Metal, but I have no idea who I sold it to
I unfortunately blasted the Drow near the Spectator into the chasm, losing the piece of Mourning Frost he had for good (and didn't even realize he did carry a piece of this until I found his two brothers later on and looked up what the pieces actually do, and I had progressed too far to where I didn't want to redo everything I had done to that point).
0:00 The name is Cheese Wheel. Waterdhavian Cheese Wheel.
Mourning frost seems bugged. Anytime I attempt to Combine it the game eats the parts and says missing ingredients. Sad since im running a sorc build.
missing the 2hword on the ship right at the start
Which magic item gives you the 1d4 radiant damage to all weapons 9:28
In the monastery if you take the dawnmaster's crest you gain it for as long as you have it, I think. Although I preferred to use it to get the legendary mace for shadowheart in the basement
@@DidntExpect The buff actually lasts until long rest... And I'm pretty sure you can get it back, though I haven't confirmed that.
@@alexsawicki Did a test when I was playing earlier, it seemed to reset when I picked up and put down any of the ceremonial weapons
The first act is much easier as a drow the baddies leave you alone untill you attack. I highly recommend for first time walking through just not the lolith guys
I could have had the ice stuff, but I didn’t understand what the parts were for and eventually sold them all 🤦🏼
You can just go buy them back
You are genereting split for all country
bro nice vid thx...i have all the time Morning frost in my bag but dont know it :PPPP
Is that sword worth using on your custom character im a oath breaker paladin
Silver sword of the astral plane need i say more?
There's item that gives bless for 2 turns every time you heal that person ( you cast heal on some one and then give bless for 2 turns then add the bless staf.... 😑
I just got the Phalar Aluve just now..... why doesnt mine also have the 1d4 radiant damage??
Heyyy yoo. I've never seen omeluum what makes him go to the myconid colony? It's only just blurg there for me
My light of creation doesnt have the radiant modifier on it
