- In this video I take a look at the Qemu guest agent within Proxmox. I cover installing and enabling the guest agent, and how its used in Proxmox. I also go over terminal commands for advanced functions like running commands and resetting passwords in a VM.

And I realised it: when I want to shutdown PVE, the PBS is always glitching. Now I know why.

Indeed. After a successful login via SSH it is possible to read a lot of information like users and even reset passwords. Listing the services running on a VM scares me a lot. I think that it is possible to restrict the access via a Role Based Access so that "Proxmox" Hosts Admins and "Systems" Administrators (Proxmox is also a System) have it very clear of who can do what.
Not approaching this seriously it could make the attack landscape/surface wide.

Hello, thanks for the video. I followed alot of your instructive videos. I installed proxmox and tried creating VMs and ended up with = a black screen "Guest host haas not initialized the screen (yet)" when installing VM. Did i miss something? I am running Proxmox on Macbook M2. I was wondering if you can help me.?
How are you running Proxmox on a Macbook M2, as Proxmox is x86 only nd the m2 is arm system. Or are you talking about the web client? Is this on all vms or a specifc vm? I have seen this issue in the past with a misconfigured vm.
@ElectronicsWizardry Some clarification, i am using UTM to run proxmox on M2. This issue is with all VMs that i have tried to create. I followed this video (ua-cam.com/video/-KTTmrA3DX8/v-deo.html) and i could see the same screen appear briefly when he started the vm but he was able to continue booting up his vm successfully. i am at a loss because i have spent days searching the web to no avail.
