Cool car! Doesn't sound like it has 411s in the rear end though. You should have got on it a little bit. That motor should be able to melt the tires and every year.

All you hear about today are 427, 440, 426, etc. But a Malibu with a 396 was a monster of the street in the musclecar era. Same was true of Mopar 383 and the 340.
