"You were once a child yourself" is a good reminder for all adults. SO looking forward to your book, Katie! "Nobody ever goes to Hartwood Hall" sucks you right in. I just hope it's not TOO scary--I'm a bit of a wisp when it comes to scary or horror. But it's YOU, so I know it will be good! 🙂 I'm curious if you could do a video about how you organize and sort your primary sources, research, etc. Do you use Notion or something more old school like note cards? Or a spreadsheet for keeping up with characters, storylines, etc.? (I'm old school with fountain pens and delicious paper, but have recently started organizing digital research with Notion).
😁Hello Katie😁This is quite a creative video👍Absolutely loved it!!💝 A life of continous Self discipline & talent enrichment & the pursuit of being a virtuous leader(to children) & being a constant learner was all good but HIGH DRESS in Summer heat🤪🤪🤪🤪That's a tough one!Overall this was FUN and loved this creative video! When I think of Governesses - I only think of MARY POPPINS😁😁😁!
interesting how some actually seemed very helpful tips for teaching, but others are just very Victorian sensibilities. I'd heard of some of these before, especially the one about economy which makes sense if you don't know what the future holds.
How very creative you are! This made me think of Charlotte and Anne Bronte’s books that feature a governess as the main character. Jane Eyre and Agnes Grey followed some of the suggestions but certainly were independent thinkers. Both novels deal with issues of oppression and abuse of women and the difficult life of governesses. Your book should be in my hands very soon-February is half over! Thanks, Katie!
Governesses are always the in-between. Neither servant not master. It seems a hard position to maintain.
WooHoo!! The last 5 Dickens have arrived!!
My last 5 Dickens books are due today in the mail!!!! Then yours on the 28th!!!! Most excellent month this February!!!😊
New sub here, just got the Kindle version of your book, looking forward to reading it! Hope it does well!
I was glad to hear about daily self-improvement, even though an assumption of ineptitude and slight crassness might be implied.
I so look forward to that research video!

The advice seems eminently sensible!

Congrats on the new book! Looking forward to reading it. :>))
I love all of the rules. I think they are very appropriate to the teaching of young minds.
I’ve read Nicholas Nickelby!! Loved it!! Then I read E. Drood. Really leaves you hanging!! I’m going to start pickwick papers next.
I don’t want to put a dampener on your enthusiasm. But if you could just slow down a little 🤗
Like the colors in your dress. Have a Good day
Enjoyed this immensely!! Thank you. I am so looking forward to getting my hands on your book
It seems that people have had high expectations of teachers for quite some time!
