Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bass guitarist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, Leisure (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegaze. Following a stylistic change influenced by English guitar pop groups such as the Kinks, the Beatles and XTC, Blur released Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993), Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995). As a result, the band helped to popularise the Britpop genre and achieved mass popularity in the UK, aided by a chart battle with rival band Oasis in 1995 dubbed "The Battle of Britpop".
Blur's self-titled fifth album (1997) saw another stylistic shift, influenced by the lo-fi styles of American indie rock groups, and became their third UK chart-topping album. Its single "Song 2" brought the band mainstream success in the US for the first time. Their next album, 13 (1999) saw the band experimenting with electronic and gospel music, and featured more personal lyrics from Albarn and Coxon. Their seventh album, Think Tank (2003), continued their experimentation with electronic sounds and was shaped by Albarn's growing interest in hip hop and world music, featuring more minimal guitar work. Coxon left the band early in the sessions for Think Tank, and Blur disbanded for several years after the tour.
In 2009, Blur reunited with Coxon and embarked on a European reunion tour. In the following years, they released several singles and compilations and toured internationally. In 2012, they received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. Their eighth album, The Magic Whip (2015), was their first in twelve years and the sixth consecutive Blur studio album to top the British charts. After the Magic Whip tour, Blur went on hiatus until the release of their ninth album, The Ballad of Darren, in 2023.

I like how they got serious on every song, but when they played Parklife they got giggles
My goodness. This crowd compared to this year's coachella crowd for blur was a 1000 times better. Can't blame Damon for being annoyed, pissed, frustrated, whatever. Those mofos had him questioning whether he and the rest of theband were still cool. Wouldn't blame them if they pulled out for weekend 2 but looks like they're still on for Saturday. Please people, give them and yourselves a better experience the second time aroud.
Epic version of "Trimm Trabb". So pleased that I saw it live at this show after a 10 years of not being able to attend a Blur show.."Sing" was an extra special treat- an early favorite of mine, and my favorite off the first album!
oh no transmission of "Sing" is so choppy.....
BEST OF THE BEST.
Haha, the backing singers left Damon high and dry during Tender.
Wow…glad I was able to catch this on UA-cam..saw blur in ‘93..opening act was Pulp…I sure miss the 90s! Great set lads! Thanks for bringing me back!
FIRE set list!! Love Damon's antics and dramas as usual
Excellent indeed. Thanks for posting 🙂
Omg no lo puedo creer, gracias totales x esto😂🙏❤😍
Thanks, whoever it is, to the person who uploaded this live show in better quality than the previous one. A relaxed, warm atmosphere, and full of colourful effects. The band is in a state of grace, Damon appears spontaneous; and the setlist, in any case, works just fine! A hug from an Italian fan.😊
Never heard Blur before except for that no. 2 song which honestly never did much for me. I stumbled on this set and have listened to it several times. All of the musicians are stellar at what they do and the songs are just really interesting and creative. Just wow.
thanks for bringing a good music guys!
Geniales
90s the best 🎉
The lads of BLUR must all go to the same optometrist 😂😂 same frames all 4 of them.
Really this was a magic night. Stone Roses followed them immediately. Wish i could go back to those weekends. Man what a lovely girl she was ❤❤❤
Bellísimo ❤❤❤
Blur r a top band, the sound on this could of been better...but still great!

Is it out of sync towards the end? From "Song 2" on...

F offfff they got Phil daniels to pull up and everything
51:57 I lost my virginity to this song
Wow.. must be the rough one!:))
Coincidentally this is the noise I made when I lost mine 52:03 😂
And it lasted 2 minutes?
8:06 you okay there, dames?
Looks pissed that the crowd is dead lol.
@@rbriggs89 Playing Coachella as the only North American tour date is a bit of a head scratcher. I'm sure it was a fat pay day, but yeah, rich kids at Coachella don't know or care.
Not there crowd tbf?
eyes
What is wrong with ''Sing''?
he hated singing this lmao
That crowd was nothing to do with this year's.
いうてこの時もそんな盛り上がってないな泣
34:25 Damon heated after that one lol
did you get permission for this? ALSO #JUSTICEFORNARDWAUR
man give it a rest already it was 24 years ago
Nice of you to hold grudges neither of them hold anymore, I’m sure they’re grateful
Stop it with Nardwuar, please. He and Dave already made up.

Crowds are usually dead when the band sucks.
The crowds sucks
This was right around when Coachella was going to shit. To think The Stooges practically headlined in 2003. I know a dude that saw Roger Waters there in 2008. I’m not saying it should always be rock dinosaurs, but good lord.
Outside Lands is way better for guitar music, but with a techie-and teenager-heavy crowd. Desert Daze is probably the best festival CA has if you hate the idea of Coachella as much as I do. I’d have to have all expenses paid, free drinks all weekend just to think about going.
Is four black backing singers the final battle in the culture war? Such a terrible cliche.
