you should really consider doing a few metal songs just for the sheer hell of seeing what happens. I hate to be that guy, but I could see you doing some internet breaking stuff if you did something like Tesseract's style ( ua-cam.com/video/O-hnSlicxV4/v-deo.html ) Keep the same style of lyrics and everything. No screaming necessary (in fact, don't). You'd be giving the metal community more of what they've been wanting for years. You'd be the one to replace Johny Craig, except the world would actually want you because you're not a piece of shit like Johny Craig lol. I wouldn't be surprised if your fan base doubled from just 1 or 2 songs. Again, don't wanna be that metal elitist guy, I can just imagine some amazing shit coming of it.
