Hello, is there a master list that explains Thayer’s abbreviations? I find several that stymie me and a list of explanations would be helpful. For eg.: John 17:20 “word” (“message” in NIV) heading I, number 3, subheading e “instruction: with a gen. of the teacher”. What does Thayer mean by the abbreviation “gen”? I feel as though I’m not getting a full understanding of the definition without understanding his intent. Thank you for reading my message. In an earnest attempt to have this message seen, I’ll probably send it out to more than one person; it is not intended as spam, but an honest attempt to have this problem rectified.
