Bridget, Rigde was also for a few years your father, than your half-brother for a long time and every now and than your stepfather. Even he isn't biological your brother, you were raised as father and daughter and than siblings. So, he is still your family. Stupid to feel different now.
These episodes really feel like the end of the classic B&B era - they have a lot of the elements that made the fashions shows during the Bill Bell years so exciting - the slow buildup to the main event, the umbrella storytelling where all the storylines would come together at the fashion show, the production values. It's the last time we will see anything quite like it on the show.
Not necessarily the last final time, but this is arguably one of the last of the largest/glamourous fashion shows we'll see after 2002. There are fashion shows later that are an umbrella of storylines coming together, but I'll agree not quite like this one.
Ridge: you're holding meetings in your underwear now? Brooke: I find that it motivates the staff... Ridge: ⏸️ ...why did I quit this job? Bridge moment
They had one in 2017 in Monte Carlo between Forrester Creations and Spectra 2.0 when Thomas was with Spectra but it wasn’t as good as this one and it didn’t quite bring the same nostalgia as the old fashion shows did
I don't know why bridgit is so broken up... Ridge was her father and she lost him as that.. Then he was her step father and she lost him as that.. The he was her step uncle and she lost him as that... I don't see what is the big deal. She just needs to relax and do exactly what she did everytime he morphed into something else in her life.
I wonder what Hunter thought/felt (if anything) after leaving the show seeing the cast members flying to this beautiful place right after her exit… I miss her beautiful face in the show.
I think HT and RM in 2000 already had to watch the other cast member flying to a beautiful place - Venice - without them. In 2000 Brooke, Thorne, Rick, Amber, Kimberly, Giovani and Amber's mom all were seen arriving in Venice and going sightseeing, taking boat trips, Macy later meeting Thorne in Italy while it was raining ... while Ridge and Taylor only had indoors scenes that likely had been filmed in LA.
This is the third time in Portofino that Sally and Macy are in the same episode, and for the third time, their outfits are color coordinated (light brown/beige/sand color). It is beginning to look intentional.
The use of music to enhance storytelling has really been well done lately. I wrote about diegetic and non-diegetic music in a previous comment (episode 3948), and at the very end of today's episode, we have a juxtaposition of both at once. While we hear the (diegetic) music from the fashion show that everyone is watching, Thorne looks up and sees Macy by the church, at which point there is the (non-diegetic) sound of a solo flute representing her presence, but which is not heard by any of the characters.
Just so people know my shallow looks critiques aren’t dependent on how I feel about a character- I like Bridget, but my God JF looked terrible in this episode. A matronly dress that made her look pregnant, mauve eyeshadow that emphasized her eye bags and made her look like she was crying, and what looked like every bad extension in Europe on her head. Why?! How do you look that bad surrounded by professionals in freaking Italy?! I’m honestly offended in her behalf. With the exception of the terrible lower lash eyeliner, Brooke’s make up was much better today.
I have to agree on JF. But I find they always dress her so matronly. And I'm always left wondering by most of the fashion choices of the characters, how are they supposed to be the epitome of families in fashion 😕
True, there is no credits for Susan Flannery, Jennifer Finnigan and Adrienne Frantz in this episode. And two of the actresses were in this episode. Weird.

Bill Bell Sr could do anything superbly. Nothing like that now.

I know everyone will have their favourites. But.... The Queen Mary, to me, remains the BEST fashion show in the history of this show.

Wow an actual fashion show just like the old days. Is this the last time they did a glamorous fashion show on B&B?
At least a good one on location
They had one in 2017 in Monte Carlo between Forrester Creations and Spectra 2.0 when Thomas was with Spectra but it wasn’t as good as this one and it didn’t quite bring the same nostalgia as the old fashion shows did
Ridge suddenly gets why it's better to be a Spectra than a Forrester! 😂
And unfortunately he ends up neither.
@@NewYorkNick0607 cue Massimo still trying to teach Ridge about shipping...
@@TriniT21and the entire boardroom looking at Ridge like "what is this _fashion designer_ doing here?" 😂
Stephanie & Eric scenes always take my breath away. They look amazing together ❤
Ridge giving a pep talk to the Spectra crew, in which he acknowledged their heart and spirit, was actually very touching.
And he's absolutely right... Spectra has more heart and fire than at that toxic place Forrester, which only has a steam room
Bridget feels like she lost her brother but gained a lover...🤢🤨
I don't know why bridgit is so broken up... Ridge was her father and she lost him as that.. Then he was her step father and she lost him as that.. The he was her step uncle and she lost him as that...
I don't see what is the big deal. She just needs to relax and do exactly what she did everytime he morphed into something else in her life.
So she is a "brother lover"?
spectra seemed like a lot less toxic environment to work for
Not seemed. It was. Forrester is the classic eg of a toxic work environment

Bridget forgetting why her name is Bridget...?!?!
The writers forgot this quickly. As well as most of the viewers.
What's sad is this is the last major storyline where Eric and Ridge are father/son before it explodes.

10:30 - Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie behind the scenes on _The View._
Noooo don't do Barbara like that 😂

8:37 I'm loving Bridget's duchess hairdue.
0: 40 Edoardo Costa , the italian press guy was worthy of a close up. Very handsome.
I still say " Tony shud have been included" 😅yay!!🎉
FASHION!!!!!
Tricia was Quick to make it to the opening titles 😂
😂😂yep and she looks great
KKL is so beautiful!!
So Macy's passport says what?
Does she even have one?
Guys, this fashion 18:03 looking just gorgeous and luxury♠️🔥🔥Bravo Ridge !!
I hate creepy Lorenzo.
Same
@ trying to manipulate Macy and control her.
bridget was so drama queen
Wonder where she got that from.

@@TriniT21Especially odd considering that there were legitimately lovely gowns in the Portofino challenge. Clearly they do know what nice clothes are!
Back when driving in a car wasn't credible at all due to the terrible green screen effect.
Closing credits left off one card: Susan Flannery, Jennifer Finnigan, and Adrienne Frantz. Oopsie!

No matter what Ridge will and always be a Forrester hhhhh
Bridget probably having feelings for Ridge 🤣🤣🤣 hhhhh
Probably isn’t the word 😂😂she flat out had feelings for him 😂😂
Not a lot of people at the show
